On certain vehicles, the lower engine oil cooler hose may contact the front left-hand brake pipe. Over time, the oil cooler hose could wear a hole in the brake pipe causing loss of front brake performance and increased stopping distances. This could result in a vehicle crash without prior warning. Correction: Dealers will install an oil cooler hose bracket to prevent the oil cooler hose from contacting the brake pipe. Brake pipe will be inspected for wear and, if required, the brake pipe will be replaced.
On certain vehicles, when stationary, water may leak into the kick panel areas and can then enter electrical components located in that area. Subsequent corrosion can result in a high resistance short circuit that can heat up to the point of igniting the plastic in the electrical components or heat up other paths to ground which can lead to ignition of the kick pad trim panels, instrument panel, etc. Correction: Replace the 25 amp circuit breakers with 25 amp fuses in the fuse block; remove a temporary paper fuse box cover; install a plastic shield over the fuse block; reorient the power door lock relay; replace remote keyless entry module if corroded and reorient it and apply additional body sealer in key areas.
Certain vehicles may have a bead damage to the tires which occurred during tire mounting. The damage to the tire reinforcing structure in the bead "toe" area would likely manifest itself as a bulge in the sidewall after the tire is inflated. This damage could result in rapid air loss, which could cause injuries to anyone if they were handling the tire when this occurred. Correction: Tires will be demounted and inspected for bead damage. If bead damage is present, the tire will be replaced.

Certain vehicles may experience an external transmission fluid leak at the lube feed passage due to thin case casting in the cooler boss area. This condition could allow transmission oil to spray onto the exhaust system which could result in a vehicle fire. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and transmission replaced if required.
On certain G3 vehicles, the lower control arms could develop a crack in the flange end of the control arm near the ball joint pad. With continued use, the crack could propagate to the ball joint mounting hole resulting in the separation of the ball joint from the control arm. This could result in loss of steering control and a crash without prior warning. Correction: A reinforcement brace will be installed on each of the front lower control arms.

Certain G2 vehicles may have been built with an incorrect spare wheel which was specified for use with a G1 model van. The use of the incorrect spare wheel at a regular wheel position could, under certain loading conditions, eventually cause wheel cracking and possible wheel separation. This could result in loss of vehicle control and a crash without prior warning. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and correct wheel installed if necessary.
Certain vehicles were built with a brake pedal push rod retainer missing, mispositioned or not properly seated. This condition could cause the stop lamp switch and the brake booster push rod to disconnect from the brake pedal, resulting in loss of brake operation and a possible vehicle crash. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected to ensure the brake pedal retainer is secure and fully seated in the groove and can be rotated a full 360 degrees in both directions.
Certain vehicles may not comply with CMVSS 105 - hydraulic brake systems. Vehicles have a decreased master cylinder stroke and will not meet the partial system failure requirements of the standard. Correction: Incorrect brake pedal assemblies will be replaced.
Certain vehicles do not comply with CMVSS 102 - Transmission Shift Control Wequence. - Vehicle could be started with transmission in gear. Correction: Shift cable routing will be inspected and cable adjustment reset.

Certain G3 vans do not comply with CMVSS 1101 - Emission Device. Vehicles were equipped with english only heavy duty emission tune-up labels. Correction: Dealers will install new bilingual heavy duty emission tune-up label on the air cleaner lid.
Certain vehicles were built without the rear air conditioning system blower speed control resistor knockout plug completly removed from the A/C evaporator inlet case. Under certain conditions, a partially removed knockout plug resting against the resistor coils could ignite and result in a vehicle fire that may cause personal injury.
