One some motorcycles, the side stand was manufactured incorrectly and could bend or break while the motorcycle is parked. This could cause the motorcycle to fall over, causing personal injury to the rider or bystanders and/or property damage. Also, a bent or broken side stand could interfere with the functioning of the side stand safety switch, causing the motorcycle to fail to start and/or run properly. Correction: Dealers will replace the side stand with an updated version.

This could allow the side stand to bend or break, causing the motorcycle to become unstable while resting on the stand, which could result in damage to the motorcycle and/or personal injury. Additionally, severe deformation or breakage of the stand could interfere with the side stand's safety switch operation, causing the engine to fail to start and/or run properly. Correction: Dealers will replace the side stand and pivot bolt with updated versions.

On certain Diavel and Diavel Carbon motorcycles, the chain guard was manufactured with brass inserts that could deform over time. This could allow the license plate holder to loosen and interfere with the motorcycle's rear wheel, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the chain guard with an updated version.

Steering

On certain motorcycles, the electronic steering lock may fail to disengage, which could allow the rider to start the engine and attempt to ride the motorcycle with the steering still locked. The resulting inability to steer could increase the risk of low speed tip-over or a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the software in the Hands Free Control Unit.
