Transport Canada runs its own recall programme. Its campaigns do not always
mirror the American ones, so a Canadian owner reading a US-only list is
reading about a different car than the one on their driveway.

Brakes
On certain motorhomes, the brake calipers may stick in the applied position. This can result in abnormal heat generation at the wheel end which, if undetected, could eventually lead to soft brake pedal condition due to brake fluid boil. Extended stopping distances may result in a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will affect repairs.

On certain motorhomes, conventional travel trailers and fifth wheel travel trailers equipped with a Dometic Corporation refrigerator, a fatigue crack can develop in the boiler tube. This could allow the release of pressurized coolant solution into an area where an ignition source is present, which could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a secondary burner housing.

Structure
Certain motorhomes have incorrectly sized huck bolts holding the trailer hitch to the motorhome frame. These incorrectly sized bolts can loosen and this results in separation of the trailer hitch from the motorhome. This could lead to towed unit separation or the hitch falling to the ground and becoming a road hazard. Correction: Existing bolts will be removed and replaced with correctly sized nuts, lock washers, and bolts.

Electrical
NOTE: MOTORHOMES BUILT ON CHEVROLET/GMC AND FORD CHASSIS. THESE MOTORHOMES WERE EQUIPPED WITH ELECTRICAL WIRING WHICH WAS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED. THE IMPROPER INSTALLATION INVOLVES A POTENTIAL FOR FIRE WITH THE SOURCE BEING THE BATTERY CABLE AND REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO LOSS OF HEADLAMP LIGHTING. ALSO, ON CHEVROLET/GMC EQUIPPED UNITS, THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR COLLISION RESULTING FROM A LOSS OF POWER ASSISTED BRAKES AND STEERING WHEN THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF. CORRECTION: BATTERY CABLES AND ELECTRICAL HARNESSES WILL BE RELOCATED AND SECURED AWAY FROM THE RADIATOR AND OIL COOLER. CHASSIS DISCONNECT WIRE WILL BE REPLACED WITH A HEAVIER GAUGE WIRE. WIRING HARNESSES WILL BE RE-SECURED WHERE THEY ATTACH TO THE HEAD LIGHTS, PARK AND SIDE MARKER LIGHTS.

NOTE: VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE E-Z GLIDE EXPANDABLE ROOM SYSTEM. WATER INTRUSION MAY SHORT OUT THE SLIDE OUT ROOM CONTROL RELAY. THIS COULD CAUSE THE SLIDE OUT ROOM TO OPERATE UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE TRAVELLING THEREBY INCREASING THE WIDTH OF THE VEHICLE BY APPROXIMATELY 36 INCHES TO ABOUT 11 1/2 FEET. THIS WIDE VEHICLE WIDTH COULD LEAD TO COLLISIONS WHILE TRAVELLING OR SLIDE OUT ROOM IMPACT TO ADJACENT OBJECTS WHILE THE MOTOR HOME IS PARKED. CORRECTION: MOTOR HOME CONTROL RELAY WILL BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED. RELAY WILL ALSO BE INSTALLED IN A WATERPROOF BOX TO PREVENT FUTURE WATER INTRUSION.
