There’s a loud clicking noise that I was told had something to do with the axle. Honda said they can’t do anything because it doesn’t affect the car driving. They’ve noticed the sound before too when I dropped it off for service. This can be a safety hazard especially after time if not replaced. Especially since I’ve only had my car for 1 year.

I had the same issue that prompted a recall of the 2024 prologue, screens went completely black while I was driving on the interstate around 8 pm. The black screen spontaneously resolved after about one minute. That was really scary not having important operating info such as my speed and my GPS directions!

Backup camera is completely black when it is dark outside, making it worthless. It is fine during daylight hours. The local Honda dealer acknowledged that there is a problem, but stated that Honda has no solution for it at this time.

Miami, FL Crash

While driving normally, my 2025 Honda Prologue experienced an immediate, catastrophic mechanical and electronic failure in both the steering and braking systems. The steering wheel completely locked up/failed to respond, and the brakes became completely non-functional simultaneously, causing an absolute loss of control of the vehicle. Due to this sudden system failure, the vehicle veered off course and crashed, resulting in severe structural damage, complete destruction of the front passenger-side suspension, and rendering the vehicle a total loss. American Honda Motor Co. Corporate was immediately notified of this severe safety defect (Case No. 16372717. However, Honda Corporate has explicitly refused to send an engineer or inspector to evaluate the vehicle's electronic or mechanical logs, and they also refused to provide their denial statement in writing. The vehicle remains un-repaired as evidence of this dangerous factory defect.

Exiting the interstate waiting to turn right and behind one car that was able 10 feet in front of me, the car suddenly slammed on the brakes hard enough to make me think I was hit by another car. There was nothing close by.

The CV Axle joint has prematurely worn down and makes a popping sound when executing a sharp turn at low speeds. Honda is aware of the issue and has noted that it is widespread; however, they have offered no solution for fixing it.

We are experiencing 2 problems. The primary issue is both front axle. CV joints are clicking and making poppy noises when you turn either right or left. secondary issue, the car is having is the. Reverse collision warning problem. It is engaging and breaking the vehicle. When there is nothing behind it, it happens constantly. And we've had to turn the feature off on the vehicle's information head unit settings to stop it from causing harsh breaking. When backing up.

On March 18, 2026, while driving a leased Honda Prologue in rush-hour traffic on a major highway in [XXX] , the vehicle suddenly shut down and would not restart for approximately two minutes. The incident occurred without any warning messages, alerts, or notifications and created an extremely dangerous situation. At the time of the incident, traffic had been stop-and-go for approximately three miles. Without warning, the radio turned off, all dashboard lights went dark, and the vehicle lost power and stopped moving. I attempted to restart the car multiple times, but it would not turn on. On approximately the seventh or eighth attempt, the vehicle finally restarted, allowing me to safely pull off the highway. Fortunately, the slow-moving traffic prevented a rear-end collision with vehicles behind me. I began leasing the vehicle this past summer, and at the time of the incident it had fewer than 2,600 miles on the odometer. I took the vehicle to the dealership that same evening. During their inspection, the dealership identified several “Lost Communication” diagnostic trouble codes in the vehicle logs. The most significant code identified was B1B42 – Start/Stop Switch Not Plausible. The service team also noted that the manufacturer’s troubleshooting checklist references codes B1B15 or B1B15 2A; however, those codes were not present. Based on the findings, the dealership replaced the S38 Start/Stop Switch. I resumed driving the vehicle two days ago and have not yet experienced any further issues. However, I remain extremely concerned about the seriousness of this failure. If this same issue were to occur again at higher speeds or in faster-moving traffic, it could result in a severe accident. The complete loss of power without warning represents a significant safety risk and warrants further review. I leased a Honda Prologue on June 25, 2025. Approximately two months ago, I began noticing a noise coming from the front axles when turning left or right. I scheduled an appointment with my nearest Honda dealership and reported the issue. A few hours later, I was informed that the matter is currently under investigation and that Honda does not have a solution at this time. I also contacted Honda of America directly and was advised that there is still no resolution for this issue. My primary concern is safety. I am unsure whether this unresolved issue could develop into a more serious problem in the future, especially since this vehicle is regularly used by my wife to transport our son to school. This uncertainty is extremely concerning. I find it unacceptable and disrespectful for Honda to sell or lease a vehicle with a known defect and no available solution. I expect a reliable and safe vehicle, particularly from a brand with Honda’s reputation.

Vehicle, in one-pedal-drive, began to enter an intersection from a stop sign into a left turn--mild reasonable torque applied onto a 25mph street. Vehicle entered intersection and began stuttering/slow/shaking until near/complete stop and loss of acceleration in middle of busy intersection. Traction control light illuminated briefly prior to resumption of acceleration. Road conditions were dry, slightly foggy. There was no reason for safety systems/ABS/Traction control etc. to over react. Honda dealership reported no relevant code to explain incident--which indicates vehicle also did not flag it as an aberration. Vehicle had just been at dealership day prior and received software update and reported inspection. Honda dealership will not take further action unless reproducible with error codes to tell them how to address. Specific component, electrical, or software failure reportedly unknown and remains unaddressed by Honda at this time.

Unknown electrical issue in the cold. Saw posts online about people getting "High voltage system" errors and after a few days in the cold it happened to me. Dealership couldn't find the issue and simply cleared the error codes telling me to come back in if it happens again. Huge issue, as it limits the range to protect the system from further issues but doesn't give me enough range to even drive home from work if the errors appears during my commute. Occasionally my front sensors don't work but give no indication of any issues, other times it notifies me that they need cleaned, but not always. Not reliable enough to trust in anything but perfect circumstances. I am also getting the CV joint clicking issue occasionally when turning, unsure if related to cold weather or not but it has only happened in 10-20 degree weather. Sounds very bad when it occurs, not very reassuring when driving a car with less than 6000 miles on it.

When initiated in the phones app, the Hondalink app does not communicate with my Honda Prologue. I keep getting "data unavaible" notices. I've only been able to get the app to update with the automobile on 3 occasions since I purchased the vehicle on 12/14/25. I see a manufacturer bulletin on this problem. (...are experiencing issues with OnStar and HondaLink due to the software within the telematics control unit needing a software update.). I am unable to unlock the car with the app when needed which could lead to a safety issue.

The backup camera on this vehicle is basically useless at night if there are no streetlights around. I don’t know if this is a combination of a poor camera and dim reverse lights or just a bad camera, but I think it’s a safety hazard. This is new vehicle using current technology, the camera should be able to see at night, or the reverse lights need to be brighter. What is the point of a reverse camera if I can’t see anything out of it.

Floorboard carpet on driver side is defective and not properly secured. Carpet is cut too short. Carpet has no securement mechanism across width of carpet. Carpet has loosened and began sagging directly behind gas and brake pedals. Insulation is clearly visible where carpet is defective. Issue was reported to dealership of purchase and Honda Motor Company (HMC) representative inspected carpet fabrication and installation. HMC representative indicated "vehicle should have never left assembly plant". HMC representative ordered replacement carpet for driver's side. Carpet was replaced by dealership of purchase. Replacement carpet has identical issue and is currently sagging behind gas/brake pedals. This is a CRITICAL safety issue and MUST be addressed. Issue has been reported to Honda Motor Company.

This vehicle's backup camera does not work adequately in the dark. It poses a major safety risk especially in rainy conditions where the driver is unable to utilize the backup camera at all. All rear lights are functioning properly, and the vehicle is in brand new condition with under 3k miles, pointing to a defective configuration for the camera or rear lighting.

The rear view camera display is too dark at night and does not provide adequate ability to see objects while reversing. This increases the chance of accidents or damage to the vehicle. The white reverse lights are not sufficient to provide lighting and the display does not have enough brightness and contrast. I have turned up the brightness to the maximum setting.
