On certain motorcycles the main wiring harness on the back of the fuel tank could be abraded by a clamp on the fuel pump leads. This could cause a malfunction of the turn signals, instrument lights, or indicator lights. Correction: Dealers will change the bending direction of the clamp to eliminate contact with the harness and secure the leads of the fuel pump.
On certain motorcycles, the ribbed chrome accessory footpegs have a casting flaw which can cause the footpeg shaft to break off, leaving no support for the driver's foot. Footpeg breakage could cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle with the potential for an accident resulting in injury or death. Correction: The dealer will replace the footpegs with the original Kawasaki footpeg.

THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT MAY CONTACT THE BATTERY CABLE TERMINALS. THIS CAN BREAK OFF A BATTERY TERMINAL AND CAUSE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE AND THE ENGINE TO STOP UNEXPECTEDLY. THIS COULD CAUSE LOSS OF OPERATOR CONTROL AND A POSSIBLE CRASH. CORRECTION: BATTERY CABLES WILL BE REPLACED, BATTERY DAMPER UNDER THE BATTERY WILL BE REMOVED AND THE BATTERY CHECKED FOR DAMAGE. IF A TERMINAL HAS BEEN DAMAGED, THE BATTERY WILL BE REPLACED AS WELL.

On certain motorcycles, an improperly manufactured transmission gear can cause weakening and eventual breakage of an adjacent gear, with which it engages. Gear breakage can result in transmission lock-up which could cause the operator to lose control of the motorcycle. Correction: The improperly manufactured gear together with its adjacent gear will be replaced.
