Issue: On certain motorhomes, a wiring problem could allow the slide-out room to extend from the motorhome while driving. Safety Risk: A slide-out room that extends from the motorhome while driving could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Thor Motor Coach will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to replace the parking brake wiring harness.
Issue: On certain travel trailers, the frame rail may not be properly supported where the draw bar is attached. As a result, the frame could bend, which could cause poor vehicle handling. Safety Risk: A sudden change in vehicle handling could increase the risk of a loss of control, and may result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to add reinforcement plates to the frame.
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the wrong bolts were used to attach the barrel chair to the floor. As a result, the chair could detach in a crash. As the seat belt is attached to the chair, the seat belt mounts will also fail. Safety Risk: A seat and seat belt that detach in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Thor Motor Coach will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the size of the bolts used to attach the barrel chair pedestal, and replace them, if necessary.
On certain motorhomes, the liquid propane (LP) hose could rub on the bottom metal plate of the Norcold refrigerator, and may develop a leak. Leaking propane in the presence of an ignition source could result in an explosion or fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the routing of the LP hose, cut away a portion of the refrigerator’s bottom metal plate and install a new grommet to ensure proper clearance of the LP hose, as required.

Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. This could result in vehicle overloading leading to poor vehicle handling characteristics, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles along with instructions for proper installation.
On certain motorhomes, the Certification Label and the Cargo Carrying Capacity Label do not indicate correct fresh water tank capacity. On certain motorhomes outfitted with Carefree awnings, the screws that secure the awning to the mounting bracket can break. If the mounting bracket assembly were to break apart, the awning can collapse, which could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective screws.
On certain motorhomes outfitted with Carefree awnings, the mounting bracket that secures the awning to the motorhome can crack and break apart. If the mounting bracket were to break apart, the awning can collapse, which could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will remove and replace the mounting brackets.
On certain motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the awning motor.
