Issue: On certain motorhomes, the service valve (main shutoff) for the propane tank may be defective. As a result, the connector may not seal properly and could leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to perform a leak test and inspect the date code on the service valve. It will be replaced, if necessary. Tiffin recommends that you should shut off the service valve (main shutoff) on the propane tank until your motorhome is inspected.
Issue: Under certain conditions, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may not display the current tire pressure and temperature on the instrument panel's information center. Instead, it could incorrectly display a temperature and pressure that is much higher than the normal range. This could cause confusion about the actual tire pressure. Driving a vehicle with tires that are not properly inflated could cause poor handling and/or a tire failure. Note: The TPMS warning telltale will continue to function as designed and will alert you if the tire pressure is too low. Insufficiently torqued fasteners may not provide adequate clamping force between the brake caliper and brake anchor plate potentially resulting in reduced brake effectiveness, which would result in increased stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. This could cause the power steering hose to rub against the stud on the starter motor, which could cause an electrical arc and a power steering fluid leak. A power steering leak in the presence of an electrical arc could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. A power steering fluid leak could also require additional steering effort which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks of North America Service Facilities will reroute the power steering hose to ensure proper clearance to starter stud.

On certain vehicles built on a Powerglide chassis, insufficient clearance exists between the exhaust pipe and the floor. This could cause the floor insulation to melt and make the floor area above the engine extremely hot, increasing the risk of personal injury or possibly resulting in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a revised exhaust configuration to increase clearance. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2015-565.
On certain motorhomes equipped with a heavier weight adjustable straight foot pedal, the brake activation signal to the motorhome's brake lights and to certain towed devices may not deactivate when the motorhome service brakes are released. This may cause the motorhome brake lights to potentially remain illuminated, which would result in the following road users being unaware of the driver's intentions. Additionally, if the brakes of a towed vehicle were to remained engaged, it could result in a loss of vehicle control. Both of these conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facilities will replace the torsion spring of the pedal assembly with an improved spring.
