The vehicle is subject to Alfa Romeo Safety Recall 93C (NHTSA Campaign 25V586) for a defective Fuel Delivery Module. The safety defect is an active, un-remedied hazard. The vehicle is currently located at [Name of Alfa Romeo Dealership] for an official diagnosis and is available for inspection. The vehicle has an active safety recall for sudden, catastrophic engine stalling at highway speeds due to fuel pump warping. Because the manufacturer has not provided a remedy or a safe alternative transport, I am forced to choose between driving a vehicle with an acknowledged highway-stalling hazard or being completely deprived of my transportation. The vehicle cannot be safely operated in commerce until Recall 93C is performed. The vehicle is currently undergoing inspection by the manufacturer's authorized technicians at the Alfa Romeo dealership. It has also been reviewed administratively through a claim with the National Center for Dispute Settlement (NCDS), which was denied based on mileage despite the active federal safety recall. The vehicle displayed an "Excessive Oil" warning and experienced heavy smoking from the engine bay beginning around June 25, 2026. While the vehicle has also been undergoing cooling system repairs, the presence of these severe engine warnings and thermal symptoms creates an immediate escalation of risk when combined with the active 93C fuel pump recall.

Just bought a 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia from Carvana and two days later while driving the check engine light came on along with the electronic throttle light and the auto start/stop light. While driving the vehicle went into complete limp mode in a busy intersection and I had to pull off quickly to avoid being hit by other traffic. Engine codes came up fuel pressure related.

Vehicle completely lost power and quite running in the middle of the desert in Arizona. This relates to Saftey Recall 93c. I had to have the car towed and repaired in Scottsdale, AZ. I have been told that this repair (which was expensive) might not remedy the problem and it could reoccur. It's been over six months since the recall was issued and yet no remedy is available and I have not received reimbursement for the repairs I had to have done to get my vehicle running. I think six months is enough time given that I cannot trust the reliability of my vehicle due to this serious problem. When a vehicle just "turns off" in the middle of the freeway it poses a huge safety risk both to the occupants and to other drivers in the area. So my complaint is that it's taking far too long for Stellates to produce parts to remedy this problem.

I was driving on the highway and my car starts sputtering, I figured I pull over and turn my car off and on. My car seemed fine and I continued to drive home from work. As soon as I got off the highway my car completely shut off mid ride, stalls out and my steering wheel locked up. I was able to get my car turned back on and get back home. the vehicle has read off warnings seconds from simply stopping and cutting off in traffic. this has happened at least two times now. it may say full throttle service and flash lights before simply slowing down and the check engine light flashing while on the highway unable to speed up no matter how far down on the gas pedal I push. has been taken to dealer several times. problems started soon after purchasing vehicle. On 3/1/2026 while leaving church service, my family and I were on a major highway with the speed limit at 65 mph. The vehicle just slowed down without giving any power and could not get it up to the speed to continue with traffic. When the electronic throttle control fault occurs, the vehicle loses power, stalls, and struggles to accelerate, which raises concerns about its suitability for commuting. On several occasions, while driving on highways, my vehicle has experienced loss of power, resulting in a significant reduction in speed. This has necessitated extended commute times on streets due to the apprehension of causing accidents. Consequently, I have had to miss several workdays in an attempt to address this issue. Initially, I resorted to using rental vehicles out of pocket until a solution for this recall was found. However, despite my efforts, there has been no resolution, and I am left with concerns about driving my vehicle and potentially causing an accident due to the lack of safety measures or the ongoing financial burden of renting vehicles until a solution for the recall is implemented. There is an open safety recall on my vehicle since September 2025 with no updates on when a remedy will be available from Stellantis. The issue is that fuel supply to the engine can be cut off causing the vehicle to lose power unexpectedly and go LOMP. I cannot drive the vehicle in this state because it is dangerous if the engine were to cut off unexpectedly at highway speeds, especially since I have a baby. I have called my dealership several times and they don't have an update from the manufacturer yet either. I would like to make a formal complaint against Stellantis to fix this issue with immediate urgency since it is dangerous to drive the car in its current state and I'm just losing money without being able to use it.

My 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia, VIN [XXX] , is currently disabled and inoperable at the authorized dealer, Alfa Romeo Fiat of Daytona (Service Advisor: Kevin Chapman). The vehicle is subject to the active and known Safety Recall 93C (Low-Pressure Fuel Pump). My vehicle is experiencing a total loss of motive power and engine stall, which is the exact safety hazard described in the recall. Furthermore, the initial failure of the low-pressure fuel system appears to have caused secondary consequential damage to the expensive High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP), and the vehicle is also exhibiting a severe and recurring electrical defect (new battery dying, random dash warnings/brake lights flashing). The manufacturer, FCA/Stellantis (Customer Care Case #XXX...), and the dealer are engaging in a runaround to deny basic safety recall provisions: 1. Refusal to Cover Consequential Damage: FCA Customer Care stated that if the issue is 'not the 93C recall then it will all be customer pay,' which conflicts with NHTSA guidelines requiring the manufacturer to remedy the primary defect and all damage proximately caused by it. 2. Refusal to Provide Loaner/Rental Car: FCA stated the loaner is up to the dealer, and the dealer stated it is up to the diagnostic. This runaround has created an unreasonable delay in the repair of a federally mandated safety recall, leaving the owner without transportation for a disabled, unsafe vehicle. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to compel FCA/Stellantis to: a) Authorize a complimentary rental car/loaner until the vehicle is fully repaired. b) Provide a formal commitment that all damage proven to be a direct, proximate consequence of the 93C fuel pump failure will be covered at no cost. This is a follow up for complaint #11693742 issued on October 16, 2025. I picked up my car from the dealership (Jim Ellis Alfa Romeo Atlanta) after the nearly $5k repair that they stated was due to an Oil Pump failure not the Fuel Pump failure as indicated by the Stellantis Recall, only to find that they falsified information on the paperwork description. They left out the information that I gave them when I told them that the dashboard displayed the following warning lights: ETC, Auto Start-Stop Unavailable, and Check Engine. They wrote only the Check Engine light was reported. They falsely stated that only the Check Engine light was illuminated, when in reality all three of the aforementioned warning lights were displayed the very morning that I had the car loaded on the tow truck. Please investigate Stellantis/Alfa Romeo for possibly misleading and falsifying information in order to have consumers foot the bill for repair for a fix for power loss due to a Fuel Pump failure when in actually it is an Oil Pump failure, or an Oil Pump failure that they are falsely claiming a Fuel Pump issue. This repair cost me about as much as the cost of a used 2018 Alfa Romeo, and the company is making enough money of this repair such that when they do honor the recall repair, then it won't cost them anything. It seems easy to me that if they is a Fuel Pump failure that is resulting in a recall, then the easy fix (that Stellantis should cover the cost) is to replace the fuel pump.

On multiple occasions over last 3 years, vehicle has lost power while driving. Each repair service has credited it to batteries needing replacement and losing power. Have replaced batteries and kept them plugged in when car is parked at home. No longer driving car as it is not safe.
