SEATS
While driving at highway speed on [XXX] I went to put my windows up. Without touching anything else my seat moved backward and I was unable to reach either pedal. Fortunately I was able to maneuver to a point where I was able to regain vehicle control. Obviously this was a life threatening situation which could have been disastrous. There was no auto correction by the vehicle. This was reported to BMW of Barrington , IL and serviced on XXX. No specific explanation has been provided. This is just one of many issues with this vehicle that appear to be related, and escalating in severity. I can't determine how they are related, if at all. I don't trust the safety of this vehicle and am not convinced BMW to date has performed a complete root cause analyses from the date the vehicle was put in service.
