If movements between the cable and the fuse box occur, in combination with very high current flow, the tin coated connections may degrade over time. This could lead to a break in the electrical connection and create a non-starting condition, possible flickering of the display in the instrument cluster, or in some cases, an engine stall with a loss of various vehicle systems while the vehicle is in motion, which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the positive battery cable connector with one that is silver-coated and further secure it to the fuse box.
