STRUCTURE

The contact owns a 2025 Forest River Wildwood. The contact stated that the door on the trailer could be wiggled from the inside and was not properly secured to the trailer. The contact saw sawdust near the heating system after removing the propane service cover, and the water heater overheated. The front left side of the trailer was fractured due to the screws rusting and fracturing from water leaking into the trailer. The contact stated that there was water and wet surfaces near all the windows. The contact stated that the failure started since the trailer was purchased, placing it on land as a place of residency, and the trailer never moved afterwards. The trailer had not been taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issues. The approximate failure mileage was 2.

NHTSA complaint #11658653 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.

2022 Forest River Wildwood Culpeper, VA

STRUCTURE:BODY

*The large coroplast panels that line the underbelly detach and fall off while driving. These panels are very large (about 4 x 6). * These panels came off while we were towing it on the interstate and mountainous roads. They could potentially cause an accident. * The camper is set to be inspected Nov. 16th to assess why they are falling off and to order replacement panels (They are necessary to protect the wires and lines underneath from wildlife and weather and therefore will have to be replaced.) * These are just coroplast panels that are screwed in. We did not know they had come off until we reached our destination and saw some remaining panels were hanging. These were resecured with duct tape. The 2 pictures attached are from our camper. They show what the panels look like, how they are attached, and an area where some are missing.

STRUCTURE

I was towing our 2018 Forest River Wildwood 370BL down I 10 coming into Tucson AZ on our way back to Alabama from California when we were approx 20 miles away from our overnight stop in Tucson. I notice that the camper was moving up and down with the bumps and dips and even made contact with the top of my bed on the passenger side causing damage. After attempts to find a mobile RV repair facility that would look at it failed, I called the Lippert, the company listed on the fifth wheel pin box. After removing the exterior panels at their direction It was obvious that there was major damage to the welds themselves on the frame. Speaking to Lippert reps, they agreed over the phone that this was a failure in the frame. The flex caused by these breaks also caused major structural damage to the exterior walls, slides, floor, interior walls, seals, gutters, and roof. As of now my AC condensation is now dripping down through the walls because of a separation of the exterior wall near the roof line and gutter. This could have been a life altering event to my family and those around us on I 10 if this would have completely failed.

2021 Forest River Wildwood Lyn, NY

STRUCTURE:BODY

In the mid summer of 2021 I purchased a 2021 FOREST RIVER WILDWOOD TRIM LEVEL 178BHSK VIN # [XXX] for a considerable amount of money., I have had nothing but problems with this trailer and now the water leak ( for a second time on a second location) has damaged the integrity of the floor structure. With mold growing, a trailer I can NEVER level and wobbles terribly and many problems. I want this trailer to be bought back. I would like to know what I need to do to have someone consider these issues as I have children and refuse to camp in a trailer with Mold , spongy floors from damage and a door that never closes no matter how flat the ground is. I would like a response as currently my trailer is in the 1000 islands RV Gan shop yet again. I have every warranty and protection on this unit and want it gone.im very upset. Please let me know how I can start this process. I have already contact the better business bureau and explained my concerns at the dealer level to management. I LIVE IN CANADA and it wont allow me to put in my proper address.. your website is difficult to navigate and nothing available for Canadian support??? 2022 Forest River Wildwood at 250 miles New Market, MD

STRUCTURE

The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Wildwood. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the trailer started swaying. The contact veered to the side of the road. Upon inspecting the trailer to determine the cause of the failure, the contact noticed that one of the underbelly pins had detached and flew off and the remaining pins were loosened. The RV was taken to the dealer for repair; however, after the dealer had repaired the RV, the contact inspected the RV and noticed that the pins were still not screwed into the frame. The dealer was notified and repaired the RV. Additionally, the contact stated while driving, she was informed by another driver that the two propane tanks were dragging underneath the trailer. The contact veered to the side of the road and noticed that the plastic covering the propane tanks had separated. The contact stated that the metal rod that maintained the propane tank secured into the holder and plate had detached. The contact stated that the propane tanks were significantly damaged. The contact stored the propane tanks in the trunk of the vehicle. However, while she was removing the tanks, she noticed that one of the propane tanks seemed empty though it was full at the time she stored it in the trunk. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified through email and by voicemail. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 250.

2018 Forest River Wildwood Rock Hill, SC

STRUCTURE:BODY

Shortly after purchasing our RV, we noticed one of the trailer exterior doors would not stay closed. We inspected the rig and saw what looked like a small rubber seam separation. Called ins and filed a claim but they said keep moving and keep an eye on it as it was a small separation. The trailer was back on the road about 30 miles when my Husband noticed it sagging and almost resting on our truck bed. We pulled over to see if we were imagining such an issue and found that the rig had literally separated from the frame. The bottom almost out of the master, the master closet crumbled the steps up to the room became dislodged. It became completely un-towable & could have resulted in a horrible outcome had my Husband not looked back to see where the trailer was sitting in comparison to our truck. This was deemed totaled by our insurance company & NOT covered due to no collision or natural disaster!

STRUCTURE:BODY

TRAILER WAS PURCHASED NEW AT BEST RV IN TURLOCK CA. IT'S STORED ON A DRY DRIVEWAY IN CA. NO EXTENDED EXPOSURE TO RAIN OR SNOW. THE NUTS ATTACHING THE BODY TO THE FRAME ARE COMPLETELY RUSTED AND DETERIORATING. THE BOLTS FOR THE SUSPENSION ARE ALSO RUSTED. INCORRECT NUTS AND BOLTS WERE USED IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THE TRAILER AND ARE UNSAFE. IF THE NUTS FURTHER DETERIORAT THEN THERE IS A CHANCE THE BODY OF THE TRAILER WILL DETACH FROM THE FRAME. I HAVE SPOKE WITH THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER AND BOTH SAY THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER RUST. BUT THE INCORRECT PARTS WERE USED ARE ARE CAUSING THE ISSUE.
