FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
I leased a new 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S (electric) on 11/10/2025. Since taking delivery, the vehicle has repeatedly and unpredictably disabled critical driver-assistance and safety systems while in motion, and has on multiple occasions warned that it would shut down while driving. Specific safety-related incidents: On multiple occasions, the vehicle's forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and Auto Hold have all intermittently and simultaneously disabled themselves while driving, with no warning and no ability to re-enable them except by fully powering the vehicle off and on, or disconnecting the 12V battery. This has occurred repeatedly since November 2025 and continues as of July 2026. On July 10, 2026, the instrument cluster displayed "Vehicle speed may be limited" and "Stop Safely, Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" while I was driving. The vehicle's speed dropped to near zero. I was not near a charging station and the battery was not depleted. I performed a manual 12V battery disconnect myself to restore function and drove the vehicle home, rather than wait for a tow truck, because I was concerned about being stranded. On May 21, 2026, at 6,013 miles, the vehicle displayed a "Service Electric Vehicle System" warning and limited my speed to approximately 5 MPH while driving, with an estimated 205 miles of range remaining and the battery at 70%. I have also experienced at least two complete breakdowns while driving during evening rush-hour traffic (May and June 2026), requiring roadside recovery. The vehicle has been in for dealership service at least 7 times since delivery, with under 5,000 miles on it as of March 2026. One single repair (February 28 – May 27, 2026) kept the vehicle out of service for approximately 79 consecutive days. The selling dealer has confirmed it employs only one technician qualified to service electric vehicles. I have since obtained the vehicle's pre-delivery service history and found that the dealership performed

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
I recently purchased this vehicle and had possession of it for only three days before it developed a serious braking-related issue. While driving, the ABS warning light illuminated, indicating that the anti-lock braking system required service. At the same time, the vehicle became noticeably more difficult to stop, requiring increased braking distance and significantly earlier brake application than normal. The failed component is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection. The illuminated ABS warning also disabled several advanced driver assistance features, including the collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking systems. As a result, important safety features designed to help prevent or mitigate collisions were unavailable while the warning lights were present. This malfunction created a significant safety risk to me, my passengers, and other motorists. On multiple occasions, the vehicle required substantially more distance to stop, increasing the risk of a rear-end collision, particularly if another driver stopped suddenly or cut in front of my vehicle. Because the collision avoidance and assisted braking systems were also disabled, there was no electronic backup available to help reduce the risk of an accident. The vehicle has been inspected by the selling dealership, where technicians confirmed the problem after the vehicle failed two separate diagnostic tests. The vehicle remains at the dealership awaiting replacement parts and repair. It has now been out of service longer than I have actually been able to drive it since purchasing it. The ABS warning light and related service messages appeared before the braking performance deteriorated. To the best of my knowledge, no crash or injuries occurred, but the defect significantly increased stopping distance and created an unsafe driving condition. Based on the dealer's diagnosis, the issue has been confirmed and is awaiting repair.

NHTSA complaint #11747103 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
The vehicle's automatic emergency braking (AEB) / forward collision avoidance system activates without cause and brings the vehicle to a sudden, complete stop in the middle of an intersection. This has occurred on at least two occasions. In each instance I was making a left turn at a four-way intersection while an oncoming vehicle was also turning left — a common, non-conflicting turn geometry. The system falsely interpreted the opposing left-turning vehicle as an imminent frontal collision, displayed a "crash detected" message, and applied full braking, stopping my vehicle in live cross-traffic in the middle of the intersection. The first occurrence was on XXX, at the intersection of [XXX], while I was turning left from [XXX] [XXX]. The second occurrence was on XXX, at the intersection of [XXX], while turning left from [XXX] onto [XXX]. Both intersections are equipped with dual (two) opposing left-turn lanes, and in each case the false activation occurred as oncoming traffic in the opposing left-turn lanes was simultaneously turning left. This is a serious safety hazard. An unexpected, complete stop in the middle of an active intersection exposes the vehicle to being struck from behind by following traffic and to side-impact (T-bone) collisions from cross-traffic. The braking is abrupt and unanticipated, and no obstacle is actually present in the vehicle's path. No crash or injury has resulted to date. The defect has been reported to the selling/servicing dealer, Larry H. Miller Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram 104th (Thornton, CO), and is the subject of an open Stellantis case, #XXX. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer for this concern. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the forward collision avoidance / automatic emergency braking system on this vehicle and model. It’s put me and my family at risk yes the problem is confirmed by mechanic every time when the problem occurs I get warnings to stop driving and turn off the car

1) Keyless entry/auto lock/unlock has been an issue since we leased the car, and it remains. CarPlay maps on the dashboard are not in sync with reality (even on the short ride home) often displaying the steering wheel icon and/or “0 m” directions that make no sense with the reality of where I was driving. After a brief stop on the way home, I turned the car on and the emergency brake initiated itself, as it so often has since we leased the car. This is made even worse by the fact that they turned off a collision safety feature to fix this issue, and it did not work or last even an hour of use.Battery regeneration levels unavailable” issues once again appear with all the dysfunction that comes along with it (this is another ongoing issue). This time the car also appeared to drive very “jumpy” even in “auto” mode. I noticed on the highway and on the streets. The accelerator petal appeared to be hypersensitive in a way that it was not before which feels dangerous. After another short outing. Creep Mode” that is supposed to maintain, did not. The screen got stuck on a weird parking screen we’d never seen. Then the screen went blank. We noticed the right fog light was out.The most alarming and critical dysfunction happened after we noticed cars following too closely. We tried to understand why when we got home and discovered the brake lights only illuminate when the car has come to a full stop, not when the regenerative braking is working (aka the car is slowing down). So as the car slows down, the brake lights do not illuminate, alerting other drivers that the car is slowing or stopping, which is critically dangerous! (HAVE PHOTOS OF ABOVE) 2) Several near-collisions have already occurred due to the brake light failure—on top of the other ongoing safety issues. 3) Provided photos to them, they are unable to resolve 4) Yes. I am not comfortable with this recall. Having a door fall off while driving is not acceptable. The dealer is totally overwhelmed. The earliest they can take the car in is in 3 weeks and then in the past it took them 1 month to look at the car. I am totally done with this car

LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION
Main instrument cluster failed. There was no warning. Occasionally, the main screen would boot up slow. Currently at dealership where they diagnosed the screen to not be communicating. With the screen not working, it disabled the turn signals and the blind spot monitoring, would turn the "1 pedal drive" on and off randomly, no speedometer.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
While driving my 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S, I experienced a sudden loss of regenerative braking, which caused the vehicle to take much longer to stop than normal. On initial brake application, deceleration was greatly reduced and required substantially more pedal travel and pressure to bring the vehicle to a stop. A “Regenerative Braking Failure” warning appeared in the instrument cluster. At the same time, the vehicle’s power output dropped. The display showed multiple warnings, including Electrical Vehicle System Fault (wrench-and-bolt icon) and Reduced Power (“turtle”). A message appeared stating that the vehicle would shut down soon. Additional messages indicated that the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems were disabled, further reducing braking support and collision avoidance capabilities. I was able to stop safely, shifted to Park, and powered off the vehicle. After opening and closing the driver’s door, I waited for all displays and indicator lights to turn off completely. A distinct mechanical clunk was then heard, consistent with the sound of high-voltage contactors disengaging. When I restarted the vehicle, all warnings cleared, and it drove normally again. This event created a potential safety risk due to the unexpected loss of regenerative braking, reduced propulsion power, and temporary disabling of FCW and AEB systems. The issue has not recurred, and the vehicle has not yet been inspected by the dealer or manufacturer.
