Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 1993 N/A Lexus LS400. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 60,000, and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 150,000.

This particular model 2009 Lexus LS460 apparently has an issue with the ABS system module (ABS Brake pump actuator) and when it fails it is like a domino effect not to mention having to reprogram the cars whole computer system all over again, I researched this issue and found that the issue is rampant with this year and model, not only is it expensive to fix (4k) the part alone is over 1k. If the system was to fail while driving it would pose a significant danger to myself and others as I would not be able to brake, or if I drive in wet weather the system could fail on me again. Everyone that owns this model has the same issue. once it happens it is said that it will happen every 30000 miles or so. I bought the car in 2024; I hadn't even had it a year before the system failed and I have not been able to drive the car since March 2025. I think issues involving the cars ABS should automatically be a recall. Now I feel like I am stuck with a car payment for a car I can't even drive because the brake system failed, and will continue to fail over and over, even if I could drive it I would be scared to. If the car senses and accident or spinout and the abs fails and locks up that's dangerous. I can't afford to fix this issue multiple times no one should have to go through this when buying a car as luxury and expensive as Lexus is. The car is too old for the lemon law but I bought a lemon, as big as this issue is this should have been a recall. Please help...

The vehicle was diagnosed with a failure in the radio connection which was draining the battery. The radio was disconnected. The failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not repaired. I brought my car to Kendall Lexus for repairs as well as a recall on the starter solenoid. They charged me about $1,200 for these repairs, including the installation of a new starter. Unfortunately, the newly installed starter failed within a month of its replacement, causing significant inconvenience and safety concerns. Upon discovering the issue, I immediately contacted Kendall Lexus to report the problem. They agreed to have the car towed back to their dealership for further inspection and resolution. However, instead of taking responsibility for the faulty part they had installed, they had someone from Toyota contact me, stating that they wouldn’t address the problem due to my car’s age and referencing “loose wires” as the potential cause despite the fact that they were the last ones under the hood and had no problem with wiring or the age of the vehicle until they were asked to repair a faulty part they installed. I was shocked by this response, as my vehicle was in good running condition when I initially brought it to Kendall Lexus. It is evident that the dealership is unwilling to rectify their mistake and provide the necessary repairs. Furthermore, their customer service has severely deteriorated since I made the initial payment. Despite numerous attempts to contact Kendall Lexus and seek clarification on their refusal to honor their warranty on the faulty part, I have received no response. This lack of communication is not only frustrating but raises doubts about their commitment to customer satisfaction and fair business practices. I believe that I deserve a fair resolution to this matter, which includes rectifying the defective starter and providing the necessary repairs without additional charges. Electronic Power Steering System Failure. Currently at Dealership for repair. Loss of steering while driving could have caused serious harm. Fortunately, the failure occurred at startup time in driveway at home. Dealer has confirmed the Electronic Power Steering System failure. Currently only Dealer has inspected failed component. I had a Maintenance Service Required alert prior to Steering Failure. Dealer performed 50K maintenance, replaced battery, alignment, and VA State inspection on 01/04/2023. The vehicle exhibited 3 episodes of premature battery failure. Mileage of the vehicle is 6000 miles. Without any warning the car would just not start from a gas pump or such locations in the middle of the road. This is a dangerous problem because there was no warning that the battery is running low or there is any problem. Car runs 100 miles every day. Lexis dealership diagnosed battery failure and replace the battery but this is a safety issue particularly because it happens in the middle of the night when you are driving in a remote location and gas pumps tell you to switch off engine before filling And there is no warning sign to indicate that there is a problem with the battery THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS A SAFETY ISSUE
