Then the backup cameras started to go on a blink. It comes off and on intermittently sometimes on while driving forward and less frequently on when in reverse.

2013 Lincoln MKT at 120,000 miles Kissimmee, FL

ENGINE

I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM LINCOLN TO CARRY OUT SOME RECALLS THAT WERE NOT WELL REPAIRED AND, LIKE THE NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 20V072 CASE, WERE NOT REPAIRED. DOES LINCOLN MOTOR REALLY WANT TO HELP SOLVE ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION BY REPLACING DAMAGED LOW-QUALITY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS, OR IS ALL OF THIS FALSE JUST TO SHOW AUTHORITIES THAT THE COMPANY IS DOING SOMETHING? I WOULD NOT LIKE TO DISCOVER THE LIE OF THE LINCOLN COMPANY, SAYING THAT IT CHANGED THE TWO (02) CATALYSTS AND THE FOUR SENSORS (04) AND AFTER THE SERVICE FOR SEVERAL DAYS, I FOUND A 'POORLY EXECUTED' REPAIR. AN EASY INVESTIGATION OF PHOTOS AND VIDEOS, BEFORE AND AFTER, ENGINE LIGHT ON, NEW NOISE (SOUNDS LIKE FRONT CATALYTIC JOINT), VIBRATION, SMELL OF BURNING ENGINE CLOTH, SMELL OF ROTTEN EGG THAT CONTINUES TO EXHALE FROM THE EXHAUST LIKE NOTHING WAS DONE. A SIMPLE VISIT TO ANOTHER LINCOLN DEALER, WITH THE INTENTION OF HAVING TO CHANGE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS, THE PRICE ESTIMATE WAS APPROXIMATELY $ 1,400 EACH CATALYTIC ($ 2,800), 4 SENSORS $ 786, LABOR $ 600 = $ 4,189 + TAX SERVICE PERFORMED AT ORLANDO LINCOLN DEALER, 2055 W COLONIAL DRIVE FROM 07/06/2020 TO 07/10/2020 SEE ATTACHED SCANNER PICTURE FROM AUGUST 4, 2020

2013 Lincoln MKT Henderson, NV

ENGINE

THIS LINCOLN MKT HAS GIVEN CONTINUAL PROBLEMS WITH FUEL ISSUES, ENGINE PROBLEMS, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONSTANTLY COMING ON AND TAKING IT BACK AND FORTH TO THE DEALER AND THEY CANT EVEN FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE AS TO WHY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. THE VEHICLE HAS FUMES COMING FROM THE PIPES, IT JERKS AND THREATENS TO CUT OFF AND WITH ALL THE REPAIRS DONE AND COMPLAINTS SENT TO THE LINCOLN CORP, THERE IS STILL NO RESOLVE. THIS IS OUR FAMILY CAR, BUT WE NEVER KNOW WHEN IT IS GOING TO SHUT OFF OR START SMOKING OR WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON. THIS MAKES THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND IT SEEMS TO BE UNREPAIRABLE. ESPECIALLY SINCE EACH TIME WE GET IT BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP, THE LIGHT COMES BACK ON. THESE PROBLEMS OCCUR WITH THE VEHICLE IN MOTION. I DON'T KNOW WHEN IT IS GOING TO FUNCTION PROPERLY OR NOT AND MOST TIMES, I HAVE MY CHILDREN WITH ME. IT IS REALLY SCARY.

2012 Lincoln MKT at 81,000 miles LOS Angeles, CA

ENGINE

MY 2012 LINCOLN MKT WITH THE 3.5L TWIN TURBO V6 ECOBOOST ENGINE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE FUEL PUMP AS THE 2013-2015 MKT MODELS THAT WERE PART OF RECALL CAMPAIGN #16S31. MY CAR WAS ALSO MANUFACTURED AT THE SAME OAKVILLE ASSEMBLY AND WITHIN THE DATES SPECIFIED. I WAS DRIVING WHEN THE CAR STALLED AND THEN STOPPED SUDDENLY STOP AS I WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN AND WOULD NOT TURN BACK ON. THERE WERE NO ALERTS OR INDICATORS ON THE DASH. WHEN I TRIED TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON, THE DASH LIT UP BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER. THERE WAS A LOT OF OIL UNDER THE CAR WHICH APPEARED TO SPILL OUT WHEN THE FUEL PUMP OVERHEATED WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT. I AM NOW BEING TOLD I NEED A NEW ENGINE AND TURBO CHARGERS. I HAVE ONLY OWNED THE CAR FOR 7 MONTHS AND HAVE DRIVEN IT ONLY 7500 MILES WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE CAR HAD 2 FULL SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGES DURING THIS TIME. HOWEVER, THE LINCOLN MECHANIC TOLD MY WARRANTY COMPANY THAT THE ENGINE DAMAGE WAS DUE TO "OIL STARVATION" WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY INCORRECT. THE LACK OF OIL WAS DUE TO THE SPILLAGE AT THE TIME OF THE FUEL PUMP/ENGINE OVERHEATING. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO BE IN BECAUSE THERE WERE NO ALERTS ON THE DASH AND THE CAR APPEARED TO BE DRIVING WELL PRIOR TO THIS. LUCKILY THERE WAS NOT A LOT OF TRAFFIC WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE CAR WAS ON A CITY STREET AND WAS IN MOTION WHEN THIS SUDDENLY HAPPENED WHILE I WAS MAKING A TURN. SINCE MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED IN SEPT 2011 IN OAKVILLE I AM CONVINCED THAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PART OF THE RECALL CAMPAIGN THAT I MENTIONED ABOVE. THERE WERE FEW MECHANICAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 2012 AND 2013 LINCOLN MKT ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAD THE SAME ECOBOOST ENGINE. A LOT OF OTHER 2012 MKT OWNERS HAVE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE AND I BELIEVE THAT 2012 MKTS WITH THIS ENGINE SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE CAMPAIGN. I DON'T THINK THAT LINCOLN WAS MAKING 2013 MODELS IN SEPT 2011 SO MAYBE CLERICAL ERROR

CATASTROPHIC WATER PUMP FAILURE. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE ENGINE STARTED KNOCKING AND WHITE PLUMES BURST FROM THE EXHAUST. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY AND TO A SAFE PLACE BEFORE THE ENGINE FAILED COMPLETELY.

2010 Lincoln MKT at 95,000 miles Union, MO

ENGINE

I HAVE TWO COMPLAINTS ON THIS VEHICLE. 1. DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND HEAR A LOUD EXPLOSION THAT WAS THE MOONROOF,. 2. THE WATER PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE AND PUT COOLANT INTO MY OIL AND RUINED THE ENGINE. THIS SEEMS TO HAVE HAPPENED WAY TOO MANY TIMES FOR THIS NOT TO BE A RECALL ON BOTH OF THESE. MY CAR LITERALLY OVERHEATED OUT OF NOWHERE.

NOTICED SLUGGISHNESS ON INTERSTATE AND EXITED AT THE FIRST AVAILABLE EXIT THAT WAS APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE AWAY. WHEN EXITING INTERSTATE AND COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AT THE STOP SIGN, IT DIED AND WOULD NOT START. IT WAS BLOCKING THE SINGLE TURNING LANE. IT WAS TURNING OVER VERY WELL BUT SEEMED TO BE LACKING FUEL MAYBE. HAD IT TOWED TO LOCAL MECHANIC SHOP. NO WORD BACK FROM THEM YET. JUST HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE FUEL PUMP BEFORE WE BOUGHT IT. IT WAS AN EMPLOYEE'S VEHICLE THAT WORKED AT THE DEALERSHIP AND I SUSPECT THE SO-CALLED REPAIR WAS PENCIL WHIPPED AND NOT REALLY REPAIRED BY THE DEALERSHIP. IT WAS A "CERTIFIED " CAR AND WE PAID A PREMIUM PRICE FOR IT AND I'M STILL PAYING!

IPULLED INTO MY DRIVE WAY AND MY CAR DIED OUT NO OVER HEATING NO WARNING LIGHT NO ANYTHING. I LOOKED UNDER MY HOOD TO CHECK EVERYTHING AND NOTICED MY COOLANT WAS GONE I THEN POURED MORE INTO IT REALIZING THAT IT WAS ALL GOING OUT OF MY CAR I BUT NOT ONTO THE GROUND. I CALLED AN MECHANIC WHO TOLD ME MY COOLANT LEAKED INTO MY OIL MY WATER PUMP FAILED. IT FAILED INTERNAL TO THE TIMING CHAIN COVER AND DUMPED A LARGE AMOUNT OF COOLANT INTO THE CRANKCASE WHICH THEN CONTAMINATED THE ENGINE OIL AND OVER FILLED THE OIL PAN. IM GLAD THAT I WAS HOME AND NOT DRIVING DOWN THE STREET BECAUSE THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. ON FURTHER RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THIS HAS OCCURRED MANY TIMES. THE ENGINE IN QUESTION IS THE CYCLONE ENGINE AND IS FORDS LATEST V6 FAMILY OF GASOLINE ENGINES INTRODUCED IN 2006, AND IS KNOWN AS THE DURATEC 35 WHICH DISPLACES 3.5 L, THE DURATEC 37 WHICH DISPLACES 3.7L AND THE ECOBOOST 35 WHICH IS ATWIN TURBO CHARGED VARIANT OF THE DURATEC 35, THESE ENGINES ARE INSTALLED IN THE FOLLOWING VEHICLES, 2007'PRESENT FORD EDGE, 2010'2012 FORD FUSION SPORT, 2011'PRESENT FORD MUSTANG, 2009'PRESENT FORD FLEX, 2010'PRESENT FORD TAURUS SHO, 2013'PRESENT POLICE INTERCEPTOR SEDAN, 2011'PRESENT FORD EXPLORER, 2013'PRESENT FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR UTILITY, 2011'PRESENT FORD F-150, 2015'PRESENT FORD EXPEDITION/EXPEDITION EL, 2014'PRESENT FORD TRANSIT, 2015'PRESENT LINCOLN NAVIGATOR/NAVIGATOR L, 2010'PRESENT LINCOLN MKS, AND 2010'PRESENT LINCOLN MKT WHICH IS THE CAR I HAVE

2010 Lincoln MKT at 98,206 miles Moon Township, PA

OVER THE LAST 2 WEEKS, MY LINCOLN MKT HAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL EPISODES OF SHUDDERING AND LOSS OF POWER. IN ADDITION, A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF SMOKE HAS BEEN SPEWING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPES OCCASIONALLY - THIS USUALLY HAPPENS FOR SEVERAL SECONDS AFTER THE VEHICLE IS STARTED. I FIRST NOTICED THE SHUDDERING WHILE DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY. THE NEXT DAY, THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED IT AND SAID IT IS A TURBO UNDERBOOST PROBLEM THAT CAN BE REMEDIED BY REPLACING THE TURBOS. DUE TO THE SIGNIFICANT COST OF REPLACEMENT, THEY SUGGEST THAT I CONSIDER REPLACING THE VEHICLE, AS SOME OF THEIR CUSTOMERS DO. THIS TELLS ME WE HAVE A KNOWN ISSUE! A TURBO PROBLEM ON A VEHICLE WITH UNDER 100,000 MILES? SOUNDS LIKE A MAJOR DEFECT THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE AWARE OF.

LINCOLN MKT 2014 HAS STALLED THREE TIMES. I HAVE ALWAYS TAKEN IT TO A DEALER FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR. IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE THE CAR CAME BACK AFTER A 1 MONTH OF REPAIR FROM THE DEALER THAT MY CAR DOES NOT START. I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE, THEY GAVE A BOOST WHICH MADE THE CAR START BUT AFTER LEAVING THE ENGINE RUNNING FOR 1 HOUR AND TURNING IT OFF, THIS CAR DOES NOT START! LINCOLNS MKT HAS SERIOUS CAR DEFECTS THAT EVEN THEIR TRAINED MECHANICS DON'T SEEM TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEMS THIS CAR HAS GIVEN ME. I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND SINCE 2014 CAR IS UNDER 100000MILES AND HAS STALLED THREE TIMES! FYI THE DEALER CHANGED MY CAR BATTERY AND IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN A YEAR WITH A NEW BATTERY!!!
