If the HDM is not operating correctly, the low-beam headlamps and daytime running lamps could fail to illuminate. Loss of daytime running lamps and low-beam headlamps could result in decreased driver's vision, as well as rendering the vehicle less visible to other motorists, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
