My 2024 cybertruck has a PCS2 onboard error. It has failed but Tesla has told me it’s under warranty however if I was past the warranty it wouldn’t be covered. This is a widespread issue known on 2024/2025 cybertruck. Nearly all VINs are affected.

The car would stop charging at home and an error showed up about two months ago. After reporting to Tesla, they did a diagnostic over the air and concluded that the battery (HVB) needs to be replaced. The car is at the shop for over a month, and they are still waiting on parts.

2026 Tesla Cybertruck was in Full Self Driving mode when backing out of a parking space. The Cybertruck backed into a parked car causing damage to both vehicles and whiplash of Cybertruck occupants. The Cybertruck accelerated backwards from 1 mph to 4 mph instantly. There is vehicle video footage of the car in FSD leading up to the accident.

I was driving my Tesla Cybertruck on the highway when I experienced unexpected steering movements from side to side. I attempted to maintain control of the vehicle and slow down. The vehicle ultimately left its intended path and collided with the median. I do not know the cause of the incident. At the time of the accident, I believe a Tesla driver-assistance feature may have been engaged, but I am requesting that Tesla review the vehicle data and logs to determine exactly what systems were active and whether any vehicle malfunction contributed to the event. The accident resulted in significant vehicle damage. I am submitting this report because I am concerned that a potential steering, vehicle control, or driver-assistance system issue may have contributed to the incident and I believe the event should be investigated.

On 05/30/2026 at approximately 15H24, my Tesla Cybertruck was parked and stopped at approx. [XXX] of Target). No one was seated in the driver seat. A passenger entered the vehicle and sat in the front passenger seat to play music. Shortly after the passenger sat down, the vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly moved forward on its own and rear-ended the vehicle parked directly in front of it and causing damages. This occurred while the vehicle was supposed to be parked/stationary and while there was no driver in the driver seat. We do not understand what triggered the vehicle to move forward. This appears to be a serious safety issue because a parked, unattended vehicle should not move forward without driver input. The incident created a collision risk to nearby vehicles, pedestrians, and anyone standing in front of or around the vehicle. I am requesting that NHTSA review this as a potential unintended movement / unintended acceleration / park-to-drive activation / rollaway safety defect. Tesla should be required to investigate the vehicle logs and determine whether the movement was caused by a software issue, gear selection issue, Autopark/FSD/Summon/mobile app activation, brake hold/parking brake failure, sensor/occupancy issue, accelerator pedal issue, or any other defect. Beginning approximately December 2025, my vehicle produces a severe grinding sound when attempting to accelerate. The sound has been consistent and ongoing for approximately 6 months. Confirmed verbatim on recorded Tesla corporate support call May 21, 2026: "If I try to accelerate it's making this horrible grinding sound. This has been going on since December." Component: Drivetrain / power unit (unknown — Tesla has never inspected). Safety risk: Grinding on acceleration indicates mechanical failure in the drivetrain that could result in sudden loss of power or vehicle control. Manufacturer response: Tesla Pensacola GM intentionally cancelled 8 consecutive service appointments since December 2025 — confirmed on recorded Tesla corporate call May 29, 2026. Owner stated on Tesla's recorded line: "For the last two years it's been broken. I've literally had it in the shop more than I've driven it." Tesla has never examined the source of the grinding sound. As of May 29, 2026, vehicle is at Tallahassee Service Center. Tesla escalated to Regional Manager on May 29, 2026. I am submitting a safety complaint regarding the rear visibility system on my Tesla Cybertruck. The physical rear view mirror does not provide any usable visibility of the roadway behind the vehicle. The design of the rear window and cargo area blocks the view, which makes the mirror ineffective for its intended safety function. Because the physical mirror cannot be used, the driver must rely on the rear camera feed displayed on the center screen. This is the only way to see directly behind the vehicle during normal driving. However, the rear camera feed disappears every time the turn signal indicators are activated. When the indicators turn on, the screen automatically replaces the rear view with the side camera view. This removes all rear visibility at the exact moment when the driver needs full awareness for lane changes, merging, and turning. This behavior cannot be disabled or overridden. It is part of the default software design. As a result, the driver is left without any functional rear visibility method during critical maneuvers. This creates a clear safety risk and raises concerns regarding compliance with FMVSS 111, which requires reliable rear visibility. The loss of rear visibility during lane changes and turns increases the risk of collisions with vehicles approaching from behind. Since the physical mirror is unusable and the digital feed is removed by the software, the driver has no safe or compliant way to monitor rear traffic during these maneuvers. I request that NHTSA investigate this issue and require Tesla to provide a remedy. A potential remedy would include keeping the rear camera feed visible at all times unless the driver manually chooses to remove it, or adding a dedicated rear view camera feed that remains active during all driving conditions.

My 2025 Tesla Cybertruck AWD (VIN: [XXX] ) was returned to me after the first service visit (Invoice XXX Tesla Palo Alto, 8/22/2025) with the Pedestrian Warning System (PWS) speaker disconnected. The disconnection occurred during front-end service work at that visit, which included front fascia inspection and removal. The technician did not reconnect the PWS speaker before returning the vehicle. The disconnection was not discovered until the second service visit (Invoice XXX, Tesla Palo Alto, 9/18/2025), at which point Tesla's own invoice documented: "The issue was caused by a disconnected front pedestrian warning speaker. Technician reconnected the front pedestrian warning speaker to resolve the issue." The [XXX] s therefore operated with a disconnected PWS for approximately 4 weeks — from August 22 to September 18, 2025 — without my knowledge. During this entire period, the vehicle was not emitting the required audible low-speed alert. The PWS emits an audible alert at low speeds to warn pedestrians, cyclists, and visually impaired individuals of the vehicle's approach. This system is required under FMVSS 141 (Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles). This is a service-inflicted deactivation of a federally-required pedestrian safety system. The deactivation was caused by Tesla's Palo Alto service center (4180 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA 94306) during routine warranty repair work. This error code (PCS2_a103_IsoTempSensorIrrational) is from a Tesla Cybertruck. It relates to the Power Conversion System (PCS2), which handles AC charging, PowerShare (vehicle-to-load/home), and other power conversion functions. My Cybertruck will likely be affected in the future by charging issues related to PCS. I understand this is a common issue with Cybertruck within my VIN range. I request this issue be investigated and a recall done prior to being affected.

The new tesla update forces me to interact with the touch screen in order to operate my vehicle after self driving is disabled. There is no way to dismiss or disable this screen in the new update and no way for me to roll my vehicle back to the old software. After disengaging self driving a forced selector box forces you to make one of 4 choices in order to see your screen/navigation and perform other features in the car such as adjusting the windshield wipers. There is no way to disable this screen, it pops up every single time Full Self Driving is disengaged and there is no way to disable it. I believe this actively violates california law by requiring me to interact with the touch screen while actively controlling the vehicle on manual mode. I tried clicking elsewhere on the screen but yuo are forced to select one of the four options presented

I was driving my 2024 Tesla Cybertruck on the Freeway 57 southbound between 9:06 AM to 9:10 AM at about 60 mph when the vehicle suddenly steered sharply to the left without any input from me. It completed a full 360-degree spin, hit the concrete median, and then came to a stop. No other cars were involved. The truck is heavily damaged and not drivable. This appears to be a sudden mechanical or software failure. I have reported it to 911 and the police car moved the vehicle to a safe place. I have reported it to Tesla and requested a full diagnostic review of the vehicle logs.

The PCs on earlier cybertrucks has been recalled. The same issue seems to persist. The issue will not allow you to charge T home and drastically cuts vehicle performance. In addition the only way you can charge is via a supercharger which makes one wonder if this whole thing was a cash grab for Tesla to force these trucks onto their costly charging network.

Normal night charging . Morning I get into my car I have alerts PCS2 saying I can't charge anymore at home . This is a huge safety concern as it's happened to many Cybertruck owners. If we go on a trip we can literally be stranded due to range and accessibility of chargers with kids. This needs to be fixed as a constant warranty even past 50,000 miles as the vehicle is not proven and in its early years. It's not a matter of if , it's when and creates unreliability and extremely heavy repair costs for an owner not due to personal wear and tear. Clearly a manufacture recall that should be monitored for a long long time.

One day my car would not charge. At all. Luckily, I was at home when this happened, but had it happened to me or worse, my wife it could've been a very scary or dangerous situation. Either one of us could've been stuck with no way of charging. It's like a gas car with no way of putting gas in. The car would not charge from home or other chargers, including Tesla superchargers. When I described the problem to the Tesla dealer, they were very aware of the problem and said that it was the Power Conversion System. There was no prior warning before this happened. Though they are aware of the problem, they are only fixing/replacing them on a warranty basis. Even though they know about the faulty part that they made, and acknowledge, they are not doing a recall or fixing the problem unless you pay for the parts and labor. I asked if this is normal for a car that is under 2yrs old and he said this part can go bad at anytime. The best thing that can happen is for it to happen early while still under warranty. But the part does not break due to wear and tear, or overuse, or abuse. It is due to a faulty design that needs to be replaced. That's why they have a new part that they replace it with now.

I am submitting this safety complaint as the vehicle owner of a Tesla that was involved in a collision on November 15, 2025. Although I am the policyholder and registered owner, I was not the driver at the time of the incident. My husband, [XXX] , was operating the vehicle, and Tesla Autopilot/FSD was engaged when the loss of control occurred. At the time of the incident, it was raining heavily, though visibility and road conditions were still within what Autopilot typically handles during normal operation. While driving under these conditions with Autopilot activated, the vehicle suddenly exhibited unexpected and erratic steering behavior, causing it to lose stability and veer out of control. The deviation happened rapidly and without sufficient warning or opportunity for my husband to intervene manually. The resulting collision appeared to be the result of an Autopilot system malfunction, not driver error. Key concerns include: Autopilot’s failure to maintain proper lane position Sudden abnormal steering input originating from the system Possible sensor, perception, or weather-related detection failure Lack of adequate warning or disengagement alert prior to the loss of control Tesla Insurance later determined the driver to be “principally at fault,” but this conclusion did not consider the possibility of Autopilot system failure under heavy rain conditions and does not reflect the sequence of events as experienced by the driver. As the vehicle owner, I am requesting that NHTSA review this incident as a potential safety defect involving Tesla’s Autopilot/FSD system. I am concerned that this malfunction—particularly under adverse weather—may also affect other Tesla owners and could indicate a broader systemic safety issue. Tesla sold me a 2025 Cybertruck RWD without disclosing that no compatible bed cover exists at all for this model. We test-drove the vehicle at Tesla Clermont and took delivery at Tesla Tallahassee. At neither location were we told that the RWD trim cannot use the powered hard tonneau cover OR the soft tonneau cover. After delivery, Tesla confirmed in writing that the only cover associated with this model is out of stock with no ETA, and they “cannot speculate on availability.” No third-party manufacturer offers a compatible cover. This means the vehicle’s truck bed cannot be covered or secured in any manner. As a result, we experienced two serious safety incidents. Both times, the vehicle was operating in SFD (self-drive) mode at speeds below the posted speed limit, with items properly tied down using rope. Even under safe, controlled conditions, items flew out of the truck bed twice, nearly causing a collision behind us. Vehicles had to brake and swerve to avoid debris. These incidents created a direct hazard to us and the surrounding traffic. The Cybertruck RWD cannot safely retain cargo under normal driving conditions without a cover, and no cover exists or can be purchased. Tesla buried a clause in a 45-page contract saying they may “remove parts from commerce,” but this does NOT excuse failing to disclose that no safe cargo-retention solution exists for the RWD configuration. A pickup truck that cannot keep cargo from ejecting onto the roadway presents a serious safety defect. I am reporting this because the inability to secure a load is a safety hazard for both occupants and other drivers, and Tesla has no remedy available. Thank you

While exiting the Chick-fil-A drive-thru lane, I lightly pressed the accelerator to move into the next lane. Suddenly, the vehicle jerked forward very quickly, as if I had floored the accelerator. At the same time, the display showed "Emergency Braking in Progress." It felt as though the truck briefly braked and then rapidly released, causing unexpected acceleration. No collision occurred, but it was startling and very scary.

Component/System Failed: The primary component failing is the Front Overhead Console Assembly (P-R-N-D manual gear selector/shifter and hazard light switch). The assembly detaches, rattles, and fails to remain securely affixed to the headliner. The defect has been present since delivery (Aug 2024, 208 miles). Safety Risk: The overhead console contains the crucial backup gear selector and the hazard light button. Should the vehicle’s primary touchscreen fail (rendering the main gear selector unusable), reliance on this repeatedly detaching or faulty manual shifter compromises the driver's ability to safely operate the vehicle (Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive) or activate emergency hazard lights. Problem Confirmation/Inspection: The failure is confirmed by the manufacturer (Tesla Service Centers). Tesla attempted to fix the overhead console defect at least four times. The defect was confirmed again on October 22, 2025 (11936 miles), where Tesla noted only a "slight adjustment... as a temporary fix" and stated a "Permanent fix will be performed on the upcoming visit". The vehicle and its components have been inspected repeatedly by Tesla technicians. Warning Lamps/Symptoms: The primary symptom is the physical rattling, looseness, and detachment of the overhead console/gear selector. The center console can come off at ant time that the windshield visor is detached from the console. This has happened to me several times while I was driving and it caused the cybertruck to shift out of gear and has changed the gear to neutral and park on different occasions. The first time this happened while I drove, I was driving down the street and the car came to a hault when the gear shift cover came loose. This could have caused a serious accident, but fortunately it didnt. This problem existed from the time of delivery & we had to make our 1st service apt on the day we took possession of the truck. This happened several times afterwards and tesla was unable to fix this in 7 attemp

We received a notice from Tesla about a recall involving the cant rail. We reached out to Tesla and they said we must go to a Tesla dealer and the mobile team will not be able to do this repair. We are in South Dakota and the nearest dealer is 6 hours away in Colorado. We asked Tesla to give us a name of a local shop who can do the repair and they said we must go to Tesla. They are unwilling to handle this recall.
