The contact owns a 2004 Newmar Kountry built on a 2004 Workhorse W22 chassis. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to respond as needed. The contact was able to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic on four occasions where the brake pads were replaced four times however, the failure persisted. WE JUST PURCHASED THIS MOTORHOME AND DURING MY INVESTIGATION FOR VARIOUS REPAIRS FOUND THERE WERE 2 RECALLS ON THIS COACH. ONLY 1ST OF THE 2 OF THE RECALLS WAS ADDRESSED WITH THE 2ND RECALL BEING A MORE INTENSE MODIFICATION OF THE 1ST. I AM NOW TRYING TO FIND OUT HOW TO GET THE 2ND RECALL IMPLEMENTED SINCE NAVISTAR ABSORBED WORKHORSE AND NAVISTAR HAS BOTH CHANGED THEIR BUSINESS MODEL AND IS NOW SEEKING A BUYER. SOMEHOW, SOME WAY, THE LIABILITY OF INSURING ALL REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED RESTS WITH SOMEONE. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP IN GIVING ME SOME DIRECTION TO GET THIS RESOLVED. 😀 MARK EGAN*DT
