Airbag
On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, could eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger frontal airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. As a result, if the vehicle were involved in a collision that warrants airbag deployment, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants, and the airbag assembly could be damaged, preventing proper function. These issues could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag inflator.

WITH MY CAR STILL AT THE BODY SHOP, I PHONED THE DEALER AGAIN. THEY SAID THEY THINK IT'S A FAULTY CHECK VALVE AND VACUUM LINE THAT LETS CONDENSATION FREEZE IN THE LINE. AND GUESS WHAT? THOSE PARTS HAPPENED TO BE ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER...BUT THERE'S NO RECALL!??? I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND MET WITH THE GENERAL MANAGER, WHO AGREED TO PROVIDE ME WITH A LOANER UNTIL THE PARTS CAME IN AFTER THE BODY SHOP WAS DONE WITH MY CAR. THE PLAN WAS TO DRIVE THE CAR SLOWLY FROM THE BODY SHOP TO THE DEALER. The contact owns a 2010 Acura TSX. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the power steering would suddenly fail causing the contact to use an excessive force to steer the vehicle. The power steering failure, brake system, and a yellow (unsure of its meaning) warning lights had been illuminated. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer had referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a safety complaint.
