When owners complained
A spike years after the car went on sale usually means a part wearing
out on schedule across the whole fleet — the kind of pattern no single
owner can see from inside their own car.

Recalls on the 2022 Cadillac XT6
A complaint is one owner's allegation. A recall is the point at which
the manufacturer or a regulator agreed the defect is real and dangerous
enough to fix for free — however old the car is.
Canada — Transport Canada
Canada runs its own recall programme, and its campaigns do not
always mirror the American ones.
Recall 202233126 units in Canada
Fuel System
Issue: On certain vehicles, the rollover valve in the fuel tank may not seal properly. As a result, fuel could leak from the tank in a rollover crash. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the fuel tank. If the rollover valve is dislodged or missing, the dealer will replace the fuel tank shell.
Recall 202231947 units in Canada
Suspension
Issue: On certain vehicles, a bolt for the left-rear suspension toe link may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the toe link could become loose or separate. This can cause a misalignment of the left-rear wheel and result in reduced vehicle stability. Safety Risk: Reduced vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the left-rear suspension. If the bolt for the rear toe link is loose or missing, a technician will replace it.
Recall 202228620 units in Canada
Label
Issue: On certain vehicles, the brake fluid reservoir cap may be missing the required labeling. As a result, a person may not know to clean the cap before removing it. This could allow dirt and debris to enter the brake fluid reservoir. If this happens, brake performance could degrade over time. Canadian regulations require certain safety information to be written on the brake fluid reservoir cap. Safety Risk: Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect, and if necessary, replace the brake fluid reservoir cap.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:ACCELERATOR PEDAL
The contact owns a 2022 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated that while parking in a parking space with her great nephew in a booster seat on the rear passenger seat, she depressed the brake pedal and shifted into park. However, upon releasing the brake pedal, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly, hit a pole, and crashed into an unoccupied vehicle located on the other side of the pole. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal and shifting into reverse, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly and crashed into an unoccupied vehicle parked behind her vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The contact and her great-nephew were transported to her residence with the assistance of police patrol. The contact later sought medical assistance and was informed that she had sustained muscle spams from the upper body to the chin and headaches. The contact's great-nephew did not sustain any injuries. A police report was filed. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer's autobody repair shop, Les Stanford Body Shop (24825 Trowbridge St, Dearborn, MI 48124). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. My Cadillac has experienced a history of repeated mechanical/electrical issues and has spent extended periods of time out of service at the dealership for repairs. On today’s date, while driving at normal roadway speed, the vehicle suddenly lost all power without warning, creating a dangerous safety situation. The vehicle became extremely difficult to control and lost normal drivability functions while in traffic. I was fortunately able to safely maneuver the vehicle to a stop without a collision or injury. Due to the complete loss of power and unsafe operating condition, the vehicle had to be towed. I will get it to the dealership when they open again for business on Monday. Given the repeated repair history and this most recent dangerous failure while driving, I no longer believe the vehicle is safe or reliable to operate. I am requesting investigation of this safety-related defect and have initiated a formal buyback review request with General Motors/Cadillac.

The thermostat sensor is defaulty. While driving all of the dashboard component lights flash on and off and the vehicle loses power while driving. Called the dealership and the technician knew exactly what it was because he said this is a known issue and when I got the vehicle to the dealership they didn't need to do a diagnostic, they knew exactly what it was. A recall should have happened to avoid this.

POWER TRAIN
I purchased the new 2022 Cadillac XT6 in June 2022. The first week I owned the vehicle, I was driving and I lost power and the vehicle came to a stop. The mileage on the vehicle was 134 miles. The Cadillac dealer indicated there was a failure in the engine and power train that caused the engine to lock up. The dealer/GM replaced the engine in the new car with 134 miles on the vehicle. Attached is the service report from the Cadillac dealer that replaced the engine

If the check engine light is flashing, a misfire condition has been detected. A misfire increases vehicle emissions and could damage the emission control system on the vehicle. Please reduce vehicle speed, avoid hard accelerations, avoid steep uphill grades, and reduce any cargo loads such as a trailer.

I was driving south on I75 approximately one mile north of the University Exit at 2:30 PM at approximately 70 MPH when I heard a very loud bang (almost like a gunshot). I quickly surveyed the vehicle (and noted there were no other vehicles around me) while keeping it under control when I heard a second loud Bang, it was about 1-2 seconds after the first Bang. I heard a loud rushing noise after the second bang, that's when I suspected a shattered Sunroof. I exited I75 at University and inspected the damage. The Sunroof was shattered. It was fortunate that I had the sunscreen closed when the Sunroof shattered otherwise, I would have been showered with flying glass and/or lost control of the vehicle. I filed a Warranty Claim with Cadillac which was rejected a week later. I covered the cost of repair via my vehicle insurance using Crestview Cadillac to do the repair work
