My first complaint is that headlights, low beam, would not work. Only high beams worked. The issue stopped, unexplainable, on its own, has not occurred again. The 2nd complaint is the radio volume would 'slip' as if there were a loose wire to the speakers, and loss of sound became more frequent and for longer periods of time, eventually all sound stopped, it has not been fixed, as of yet. 3rd complaint, a brand new battery, in under a year of use, went completely dead, without any visible explanation. When an attempt to jump start the vehicle the cables from another cars battery were touched at my cars battery, it sparked, indicating to the person performing the task, there is a 'short' somewhere in the wiring system. I drive this vehicle less than 3000 miles per year, and use it sporadically with my second vehicle to keep the batteries active. I cannot explain why these issues are occurring but thought it important to mention them to other possible victims with the same issues.

Unit used as a rental from Avis. Night time driving will cause on-coming traffic to flash high beams while my lights are in low beam mode. This is a daily problem with a multitude of on-coming drivers as the LED headlights are perceived to be extra bright / blinding.

The vehicle displayed a warning on the dash that the battery was not charging properly and vehicle may stall. The vehicle was checked at dealership and issue was disregarded. 3 days later the vehicle showed the same warning and the battery light flickered, there was a chane in the power and lights dimmed. This was evaluated by dealership, apparently it is a known issue but no resolution available. When the battery light flashed during the second event there was no control over the vehicle (power/steering) creating a very concerning safety issue.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH at nighttime, the low-beam headlights started flickering, and then became inoperable. The vehicle decelerated and veered to the side of the road. The contact engaged the high-beam headlights and continued driving. The contact stated that he replaced the low-beam headlights relay several times. Additionally, the contact replaced the low beam headlights switch, bulb, and fuses; however, the failure persisted. The local dealer and a second dealer, Pohanka Chevrolet (13915 US-50, Chantilly, VA 20151) were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The contact related the failure to GM Campaign Number: N140291. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.

The headlamps have quit working when driving at night but will come back on later. This has happened several times. I found GM recall number 14291 that is supposed to include 2006 Chevy Trailblazers and pertains to this problem. The local dealership told us that our vehicle has a vin number that is not covered. It would seem that all model 2006 Chevy Trailblazers would use the same HDM modules in them when they were built. Is ours covered?

Keeps blowing #46 headlight relay. Happens every 2-3 weeks. When this happens the low beams stop working. I have to switch to high beams to continue driving.

FOR SEVERAL YEARS THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WOULD GO OFF AND ON INTERMITTENTLY. NOW, THEY ARE MOSTLY OFF WHICH MEANS I CANNOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE AT NIGHT ANYMORE UNLESS I WANT TO BLIND PEOPLE OR GET STOPPED. I HAVE CHANGED HEADLAMPS, RELAYS AND FUSES TO NO AVAIL. NOW, I SEE THAT MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL SUV HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME ISSUE BUT NO RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS YEAR MODEL. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WHEN WE HAVE TO DRIVE WITH THE HIGH BEAMS ON AND WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OFF UNEXPECTEDLY. IF YOU WILL ISSUE A RECALL FOR ONE YEAR MODEL HAVING A PARTICULAR ISSUE, WHY WOULD YOU NOT DO THE SAME WITH ALL YEAR MODELS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE? COME ON CHEVROLET AND NHTSA, LET'S GET THIS PROBLEM SOLVED TO SAVE SOME LIVES. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several times. The contact replaced the headlight bulbs three times, the fuse, and the switch. The failure persisted. The contact had spoken with the dealer who stated the headlamp driver module (HDM) module needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer informed the contact that an unknown recall for the failure had expired. My headlights turn off bybthemselves while driving, other times they wont turn off at all after car is turned off even while in park, and other times they turn on while switched to off position randomly in the middle of te night resulting in a dead battery come morning. My driver window no longer works as well as driver power locks. Happening since 2020 random at first now permentant removal of fuse switch in order to shut off lights and the fuse switch is hot to the touch upon removal.

The hi-beam headlight would be used to provide adequate illumination. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V519000 (Exterior Lighting) which she linked to the failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where she was informed that there were no recalls on the VIN. The contact was able to replace the module and fuses; however, the headlights remained defective. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 219,000.

While driving home at approximately 9:30pm, my eighteen year old daughter experienced the headlights failing to come on after dark with the automatic headlight-on feature. She turned on the headlights manually, and the low beams still were not working, but all driving lights and high beam headlights were working. I assumed that the bulbs were burned out, so replaced both the driver and passenger side bulbs. The low beam headlights still failed to come on either automatically or manually. I Googled the problem, and multiple people have reported this exact same problem, and some stated that there was a recall due to this problem. I am unable to find either a recall or a service bulletin for this issue.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WITH AIR CONDITIONER ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD REPLACED THE CRANKSHAFT SOLENOID WHICH HE BELIEVED REPAIRED THE ISSUE. SOON AFTER THE INITIAL REPAIR, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE TAIL LIGHT AND INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE REPLACED THE TAIL LIGHT FUSES AND INSTRUMENT PANEL CIRCUIT BOARD HOWEVER, THE REPAIRS FAILED TO FIX THE FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT LINKED THE FAILURES TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 03V096000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 04V527000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE CONTACT CALLED CORWIN MOTORS KALISPELL (2565 US-93, KALISPELL, MT 59901, (406) 755-5555) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 247,000.
