AIR BAGS

Airbag warning light illuminated on dash. Vehicle no longer registered the passenger in the front passenger seat. Dealer states diagnostic code indicates OCCUPANT POSITION DETECTION SYSTEM SENSOR is faulty. None in stock and no expected delivery date. Until part is repaired/replaced the vehicle will not detect a front seat passenger so the front seat passenger airbags will NOT deploy in a collision. Dealer states cost of repair to be in excess of $1,100!!

The service airbag indicator and airbag light illuminated on my dash. I took the vehicle to the dealership and was told the passenger presence module needs replaced. Without this repair, all airbags in the vehicle are disabled when the light is on. Yes, its been reproduced by the Chevrolet dealer.

AIR BAGS

The vehicle’s service airbag warning light is illuminated. The dealership diagnostic indicates that the passenger seat sensor needs to be replaced. Based on my research, this was also an issue with the Volt’s 1st Gen models.

AIR BAGS

MY 2017 CHEVY VOLT GIVES ME 'SERVICE AIRBAG' WARNING ALL THE TIME. AND THE DEALER SAYS IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THE CAR HAS NEVER MET WITH ANY ACCIDENTS OR SPILLS. SO THERE IS NO REASON FOR CUSTOMER DAMAGE. I SEE THAT THE SAME ISSUE WAS BEEN RAISED BY MANY UNDER PE19013. SO I WOULD WANT GM TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR MANUFACTURING DEFECT RATHER THAN SAYING IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER W

AIR BAGS

MY VOLT WAS T-BONED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR BY A RED LIGHT RUNNER. I HAD JUST STARTED TO ENTER INTO THE INTERSECTION A SECOND OR SO AFTER MY LIGHT TURNED GREEN, SO NOT GOING VERY FAST. THE OTHER CAR WAS GOING 25-35 MPH (APPROX.). THIS WAS ON A CITY STREET, BOTH ONE WAYS STREETS SO THAT DRIVER WAS ABLE TO BUILD UP SOME MOMENTUM. I WAS PUSHED INTO THE CAR TO MY LEFT (DRIVER'S SIDE). THE DAMAGE WAS ENOUGH TO TOTAL THE CAR. THE AIR BAGS WERE NOT DEPLOYED.
