top grill deflector flew off at highway speeds creating a safety hazard for me and others in the highway. 2022 GMC Sierra with the same part and grill was previously recalled for this identical issue. 2022-2026 models have the same problem and should be included in the recall. The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that there was an unknown failure with the front and rear cameras. The driver's and passengers' side mirror indicators remained illuminated but occasionally failed to operate. There was a glare that was shining into the vehicle while it was raining and driving at night. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that an unknown module was not operating as needed. The rear wiring harness was replaced. The seat module and transmission were repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was opened. The Attorney General was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.

The backup camera in the dark on this vehicle is unusable. Someone will eventually run someone over. I have added brighter lights everywhere on the back of the vehicle and the camera is still useless at night. The dealer told me it looked fine to them (they checked it in a lit garage). There are hundreds of complaints across all forums.

Additionally, the radio cluster unintendedly deactivated, and the OnStar Service became unavailable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the radio cluster, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not yet contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000.

My issue is with my back up camera being useless in low lighting and dark situations. I live in a dark community sometimes and I cannot use my back up camera to get me down my driveway without opening both front windows. I had a 2016 GMC Sierra and I had no problem with it. I first brought it into the shop with this issue and they replaced the camera and that did nothing. The 2nd time I brought it in for the camera issue, they said it is a software issue and they are waiting for a fix. (That was back in June) I called GMC Customer care and opened a case, but that is falling on deaf ears as they are saying there is nothing they can do. They tell me to keep waiting on the dealership for the fix. My Daughter, son and friends are having the same issue, but they are adding additional lights. I refuse to do that, as I think GMC should take care of it.

Intermittent problems with various systems freezing up or not working: Windshield wipers freezing for several seconds mid-wipe. Nearly caused accident. Heads up display not retaining settings Seat controls (bladders that inflate deflate) intermittently working/infotainment screen freeze (where seat control is displayed). Lane departure warning inconsistently working (beeping) Radio quits playing for several seconds and screen goes dark Blinker stops blinking and then re-starts 6.2L engine slow/rough idle continuously hunting for stable speed (This is the only problem that is NOT intermittent). At times almost dies. A/C unit stuck on "hot" delivering 92 degree air when outside 72 degrees. Temp set at Low. (No A/C just trying to get fresh outside air in). Vehicle was under recall and control modules "reflashed" before purchased (new). Dealer reflashed which did not solve problems. Dealer cannot duplicate (but they only spend a little time looking at the issue). Has been in shop off/on for about 2 weeks attempting to resolve. Issues on occasion still occuring since Mid October 2024 purchase.

The Backup Camera is worthless. You cannot see at night to back up your vehicle. Only can see Dark and Red Spots. Impossible to see what is behind the vehicle.

Extremely poor rear camera quality at night. Common complaint on GMC and Chevy 2023/2024 models. Unsafe to reverse at night due to poor camera image quality. Cadillac has already issued a recall on their units which are identical to the GMC and Chevy. Many posts on Facebook gmc at4 and Chevy zr2 owners groups about the safety issue
