2016 GMC Terrain other reported problems

For an undetermined amount of time- many months for certain, I have been unable to get the key removed from the ignition when the car is shut off and placed in the locked position. I am forced to start and shut off the car for multiple times before I am finally able to remove the key. There is no rhyme no reason as to why the key finally decides to come out. This is obviously caused no accidents, however, it has become a constant source of frustration as it happens constantly. I have taken it to the dealership, and other than charging me for their exam, they had no answers as to the problem or how to resolve it. That was an absolute waste of time, and certainly my money. I have also taken it to a couple of other places without any diagnosis of the problem. I am finally taking it to someone who I know to be reputable, and hope the diagnosis can be made, without tremendous expense on my part.

the radio / back up camera and close object display goes on and off intermittently. If backing up all vision and warnings are lost. Unit is no longer available and is obsolete and discontinued by GMC. This was determined and tested at the dealer Cappalino GMC.

I was leaving the area of Hiram and my car started running different and you could hear a taping noise. I drove it to the GMC dealer down the street and they said it was the timing chain. I recently had an oil change and I was wondering if that could be the problem. The dealer gave me no recommendations or indications that I needed to change belts or components and my service engine light has never came on.

The engine light comes on, then "service stabiltrak light" comes on. It starts by making it difficult to accelerate at a red stop light when it changes green. When turning a corner, because there is no quick acceleration, it has caused near miss accidents. As time goes on it becomes worse. I have lost power on the expressway and have to pull over. I have brought this car in several times and GMC has not made any repairs. It is scary when a semi is rolling behind you and you can't accelerate to get out of the way. This is a safety issue. I have received no help from GMC.

WHEN DRIVING THE STABILTRAK SERVICE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND THE ENGINE LIGHT. THE CAR WILL LOSS ACCELERATION IMMEDIATELY THEN SEEMS WONT GO OUT OF 2ND GEAR. I STOP TURN OFF CAR A FEW MINUTES AND IT WILL START AGAIN AND THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL GO OUT AFTER WHILE. LAST TIME THE CAR WOULD NOT START AGAIN. IT FINALLY DID AFTER 20 MINUTES OR SO. THE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM SCREEN HAS WENT BLACK AND SAYS REBOOTING AS I WAS DRIVING. IF I PLUG IN MY MP3 PLAYER AND THE CORD GETS BUMPED IT SHUTS OFF AND SOMETIMES I CANNOT GET IT TO COME BACK ON.

CONSTANTLY DIES. TOOK IT TO A SHOP TO SEE WHAT OR WHY. ITS THE INTAKE VALVE TIMING SOLENOID. THE WHOLE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM, INCLUDING BACKUP CAMERA AND NAVIGATION, IS NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY. WHEN I PUT CAR IN REVERSE THE SCREEN STAYS BLACK WITHOUT ANY VIEW OF THE AREA BEHIND THE VEHICLE.. THIS IS DANGEROUS IN ANY VEHICLE, BUT ESPECIALLY IN THE GMC TERRAIN THAT IS FULL OF BLIND SPOTS. 2. THE RADIO COMES ON SPONTANEOUSLY DESPITE BEING TURNED 'OFF'. THE VOLUME DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE VOLUME CONTROL KNOB. THE RADIO DOES NOT TURN OFF AFTER PRESSING THE ON/OFF CONTROL. TRYING TO DEAL WITH THIS RADIO WHILE DRIVING IS EXTREMELY DISTRACTING AND DANGEROUS. THE PROBLEM STARTED ON 10/01/18 AND HAS NOT RESOLVED ON ITS OWN. MY GMC DEALER HAS SEEN A LOT OF SIMILAR PROBLEMS IN THIS VEHICLE MODEL.
