The door latch and or roller failed which prevents the door from closing properly. Since the door does not close all the way, there is the risk that it opens while driving. This is a recurring issue I have on this vehicle and triggered a lemon-law buyback.

In August 2025, I had taken the van for a drive to charge things up, got home, put it in park and parked it in my driveway, which has a mild slope. ~ 30 seconds - 1 minute after me leaving the vehicle, it rolled backward out of the driveway, across a busy street and 1/4 into my neighbors yard. I was mortified, there is usually a lot of people walking their dogs, kids etc...and cars going by. The vehicle was stopped by the curb vs the 2nd back tire (Thie first one cleared the curb and was in my neighbors lawn. It ALMOST hit a BIG tree. I pulled it back into the driveway & checked it again, worried I may have somehow not put it in park, but it did it over and over again. Shortly after I put it in park and turned it off it "released" and started rolling spontaneously. I could have run over my neighbors; people, babies...pets, me... I piled logs and big rocks behind all 4 tires (put it park with the parking brake on of course,) & called the Mercedes dealer & made an appointment. I did not drive it again until it was "repaired," except for the fact that nothing showed up on the scanned as wrong. They kept if for 3 weeks but "it never did it again," & they "never found anything." They charged up the battery and said maybe it was because the battery got too low and that the chassis battery charges the transmission battery and maybe the transmission battery was low. They mentioned that they had had one other person come with the same problem. The local Winnebago dealership mentioned that they had had someone come in with the same complaint. With the vehicle unchanged after this potentially catastrophic event, how can I trust it? What happens if I am in it and it is parked on a slope and it does it again? What could happen if the transmission fails on the road? It was VERY SCARY. For a couple months I had a mini panic attack every time a young family walked by...what could have happened if they happened to be walking by when that happened. I will have to collect the info

Following Jayco and Entegra instructions, I delivered my coach to Blue Compass RV. It has now been more than SIX MONTHS out of service. Jayco Pre-Authorization has denied the required battery replacement and referred me to the battery manufacturer, even though Entegra bulletins and recall procedures identify and correct the conditions that caused the damage. Completed Recall and TSB Work Approved by Entegra and Jayco · 22-075 (TSB) A/C Electrical Connection Instructions, September 2022. Replaces WAGO connectors. · 22-076 (TSB) Firefly Terminator G4 Tap Connector, September 2022. Refer to Safety Recall 25V747 and see the attachment which outlines our complaint. RV does not comply with requirements of FMVSS 110 and 49 CFR Part 567. We were the reporting party to the manufacturer and according to NHTSA database, our VIN is not present for the required recall service/extended fuel tank replacement. The RV manufacturer and dealer are not presently responding to requests from us to have the recall service completed. We believe they have not correctly reported additional safety concerns as are described in the attachment. The manufacturer has communicated that since producing RV's in 2021, they have improperly weighed RVs which has resulted in inaccurate OCCC labeling and we believe owners unknowingly operated RV's over GVWR. Our RV's OCCC is 333 lbs. A 174 lb weight savings per Safety Recall 25V747 will not bring our RV into compliance as we have a certified curb weight of 8700 lbs. and believe other same year/models have the same curb weight. Additionally, we are inquiring if Remote Vans is required to provide a cargo carrying allowance in addition to the occupant weight i.e. 600 lbs. for four seat belted passengers per FMVSS 110. We have also filed a complaint/attachment with Oregon Department of Justice Consumer Protection on 11/28/25.

2023 Sprinter van jack was pulled out for the first time to be used last week and found to be unsafe. The jack base is crowned in center, the edges flare upwards and large gouge/groove in metal base, causing the jack to noticeably wobble and rock in manner that it is unsafe to use, fear of jack tilting and dropping van onto user of jack. Jack base has obvious defects and unsafe to use. Have contacted dealer and referred to MBUSA who provided a case # and no resolution to provide a safe jack to replace the defective jack.

While driving in the freeway, the crosswind assist feature over-engaged and skewed the vehicle dangerously while also drastically slowing the vehicle and causing a hazardous near collision with the following vehicle. The system is way too aggressive and cannot be turned off or desensitized.

The crosswind assist system is unsafe, it make the vehicle unstable when activated. Since new I took to the dealership many times and it never was fixed. And the line assist system many times do not let me turn right because it not see a broken line painted on the road.

My vehicle is activating “crosswind assist” and applying the brakes automatically, unilaterally, and abruptly while traveling at speeds over 40 mph on the highway, even when conditions are NOT windy. It seems that the sensor is overactive in detecting wind. I have taken it to the Mercedes dealer and they have stated they found no problems with the ESP sensors and state that the vehicle is responding to perceived wind conditions/instability normally and as it should. However, this was NOT like this for the first two years I drove the vehicle. It is DANGEROUS and not normal and the unilateral application of the brakes while I’m going 60 or 70 miles an hour on the highway forces my vehicle out of the lane and into parallel traffic lanes! The unilateral braking is sometimes so severe that my vehicle fishtails and feels like it is going to roll over into an adjacent lane or off the highway. This is going to cause a major accident to me and fellow drivers. Since the problem started six months ago and has steadily worsened, I have been advised to upgrade the suspension and install an “swaybar” and also to change the tires to make the vehicle more stable. I have done both. Neither has helped at all. I don’t know what to do or where to take it. It seems like deactivating the crosswind assist would be helpful in determining if the sensors are too sensitive or defective and whether it drives safely without them. But there is no way to deactivate that system. I have owned my vehicle for three years and for the first 2 1/2 years it drove perfectly, without this issue ever happening. My vehicle has not been in any collision and has had no damage, so I do not know where this came from. It seems like an electrical or sensor issue that has arised and neither a sprinter specialist mechanic nor the Mercedes-Benz dealership with a sprinter technician have been able to figure out what is wrong and how to fix it. This is URGENT and I need help or there will be a catastrophe.

My van has a "cross wind assistance" feature that can not be turned off. Apparently it helps to keep the vehicle in the lane during cross wind situation, I found it to be way too aggressive and turning itself for no apparent reason. I find it that while it may be helpful in some situations it certainly does more harm than good.

We purchased a 2021 mb sprinter Van, modified up fitted as a RV with 15842 miles from MBSO Orlando on June 26th 2024. In Idaho on the freeway we were pulled over for illegal tint and while we were not ticketed after reviewing the purchase agreement. He warned us to be careful driving especially at night as it was could be very hard to see and it was certified. It harder to see for me as I have some degree of stigmatization with my eye sight as I am [XXX] which is to be expected. After arriving back in Seattle area where we live and found significant rust on the roof of the van and given an estimate for $16500 by certified mb body shop, I emailed the service manager about the rust and illegal tint that was not disclosed, he basically dismissed it…..stating that I had opportunity to view it and it’s buyer responsibility once it’s sold. The failed to respond adequately as to why they certified CPO the 2021 Van, which was misleading to consumers. This is a serious breach of trust for we were expecting a van had passed safety and structural inspection thoroughly by a brand name known for quality and integrity. Now I am faced with additional expenses which we are unable to bear. Please help us as we relied on CPO inspections to avoid unnecessary expenses on our limited income and now we are trapped in a situation we did not expect. Regards, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] PS. Crosswind Assist feature can't be disabled at the moment and is extremely dangerous. This "feature" can randomly kick on while driving around others and unexpectedly do things like breaking / swerving etc... which is extremely dangerous for both the drivers but others that might not understand what is going on with you and therefore create an accident. Mercedes needs to provide an option for sprinter's owner to disable this dangerous so called "feature".

Smog test failed California smog test due to the OBD 02 sensor (exhaust engine sensor) not being ready. Despite our efforts, including driving over 1000 miles and following Mercedes recommended drive cycle steps repeatedly, the issue persists. So far, we have contacted the Mercedes dealer several times, been told to drive the van around and given the Mercedes drive cycle instructions, but to no avail. Additionally, a customer case has been opened with Mercedes-Benz North America, only to be directed back to the dealership, where the vehicle remains with the unresolved issue.

Exhaust smells started coming through the air vents while driving, after the catalytic converter was changed. I discovered through my own inspection, that exhaust was leaking at the connection point between the catalytic converter and the turbocharger. The fumes were entering the airflow for the passenger cabin through the cabin air intake drain valve because it is in the engine compartment. I realized that this is pouring carbon monoxide into the cabin ventilation system.

The front driveshaft for the vehicle referenced has a safety design flaw that makes it too short. There is a risk of the front driveshaft separating from the front differential splines completely and wrecking havoc to the vehicles essential driving components like steering rack, wiring harness, and potentially causing an accident. Mercedes Benz has increased wait times at their shops and are currently 5-6 weeks out to even look at the vehicles issue. Currently my vehicle is experiencing major vibrations due to the front driveshaft barely hanging on to the front differential splines as the manufactures design is not robust enough for simply driving on the road and allows the front driveshaft to simply slip off what is designed to retain the shaft to the front differential. Before every drive I have to push the drive shaft further onto the splines and am hoping it doesn't fully come off while driving. This issue began around 6k miles and now have 12k miles on the vehicle. Just now finding the main cause of the issue when discussing with other owners. MB needs to do something about this ASAP. As of right now MB has no solution.
