this is in regards to NHTSA TSB #ATI-1907. i had this issue repaired by porsche san antonio for over 1k. the problem came back and porsche is trying to charge me again saying there is a design flaw they are aware of but cannot perform work under warranty. This is very unfair and makes me think that everytime it rains i cant drive my car because ill have to spend another 1k for a rear camera and parking sensor fail. I hope i can get any kind of help or visibility on this problem. It is not only unsafe, but porsche as a brand has such bad customer service and no one wants to help

While driving on a major highway ([XXX]) at over 60 MPH, we had a complete and catastrophic system wide shut down of our vehicle, culminating in our car grinding to a halt. This entire process elapsed over a 15-20 second period. We barely were able to get our vehicle to the "left" shoulder along the median of the highway where we had to sit for over 75 minutes with oncoming traffic racing past us until 911 arrived to tow us. It was a life-threatening situation where we were virtual "sitting ducks" without any means to remove ourselves from harms way. The car was immovable and unresponsive. We tried to restart the car with the assistance of our Porsche Dealer but nothing worked. We had no choice but to pray for our safety. We have completely documented our experience: photos, videos and phone calls with 911. NOTE: your system is not allowing us to upload any of our photos or videos but we would like to provide these to you directly so please reach out to me to let me know how we can share these with you. When the car malfunctioned, it seemed that every alert in the car's computer system flashed in serial fashion - Engine Control Error, P Button Defective, E Sound Error, Lane Assistance Malfunction, Electrical Parking Brake Error. It should be noted that we have had the car for less than two years and have logged a little over 11,000 miles driven. Ultimately, we were towed by flat bed to the nearest Porsche Dealer in White Plains where the car is parked. We left a message for the service department at the Dealer telling them who we are, what happened and to call us before they begin an inspection. While slowing to a near-complete stop and preparing to shift into Park at a low-speed private property location, the vehicle suddenly and violently accelerated without any driver input. The operator, a [XXX] experienced driver, had no time to react. The vehicle travelled approximately 200-300 meters uncontrolled, narrowly missed a grounds keeper operating a tractor on the paved road, left the paved road, drove over a fallen log and between trees, and stopped autonomously just before hitting a tree directly ahead. The driver did not brake at any point. The vehicle stopped itself. Physical evidence at the scene shows deep tire marks dug into soft ground consistent with autonomous emergency braking activation directed straight toward the tree. Four witnesses were present including a bystander who nearly was struck by the vehicle. A formal safety case has been opened with the manufacturer's corporate office. Federal safety complaint also filed with Transport Canada. A nearly identical sudden unintended acceleration incident involving a 2023 Porsche Macan while parking is already on record with NHTSA. Collision warning system has never worked properly. Now it is not working at all. This was verify by Jeff Leather service director at Reno Porsche on Jan 22. They basically said the because it is old tecknology there is not much they can do about it. They are still selling new 2026 Macan with the same issues. Because most customer do not even reallize the problem. I am a senior customer and I believe that this is an important system for my safety. Being my comprehension why Porsche choose to ignore this problem

Collion Warning alarm came on with full application of brakes with no vehicles in front or behind. No onward traffic either. Visibility was clear, and driving conditions good. Driving at 35-40 mph. Informed dealer three times (and three different individuals) on December 31 and despite a bevy of promises they have taken no action. Placed warning on Macan.com and several other (purported) owners claimed to have experienced an identical issue. This is self-evidently highly dangerous. My car has intermittently triggered false collision warnings—approximately 8 to 10 times over ~8,500 miles. Each time, while driving between 20–40 mph with no visible obstacles, the system issued an orange collision alert, sounded an alarm, and abruptly applied the brakes. This sudden braking poses a serious safety risk, as it could cause a rear-end collision. The vehicle has been at the dealer for 14 days and remains there, as they’ve been unable to replicate the issue or find any stored fault codes.

I was driving at 40mph on a town road on a dry, sunny day when, without warning, the brakes slammed on extremely forcefully, almost to a full stop, and a big triangle showed on the dashboard with the words COLLISION WARNING. I don’t recall if there was an audible alarm or not. The warning disappeared and the car resumed forward motion almost as quickly as it had appeared. My body jolted forward against my seat belt and items on the passenger seat went flying forward and fell on the floor. There were no other cars on the road at the time but, if there had been anyone in back of me, it very well could have caused an accident. My neck and chest are quite sore the day after this happened. I stopped the car and walked around outside and did not see anything out of the ordinary - nothing in the road either. It was a paved secondary road without potholes in the immediate vicinity. The dealership will be picking up the car to inspect it and implement an “alert” upgrade service for the front camera system that may or may not have any connection to the problem.

When starting from a full stop and traveling approximately 25 mph, a car crosses in front of me. I make an emergency stop to avoid a collision. The car will then not shift out of first gear. I then must safely get off the highway, stop the car and when I restart the car everything works fine. This has occurred three times under almost the exact scenario over the first year of operation. This problem provides an unsafe condition for the car’s occupants as well as others on the road. I have had the car inspected by three separate Porsche dealers. Their position is that they can find no problem with the car, but have never tried to reproduce the event (to dangerous). I have volumes of reports from Porsche, all saying that they can find no problem with the car .

Car had recently received 1st year service. Called dealer service manager to report failure, he said the car could not do this. Car has not been inspected at this time. Lawyer advised not to drive car, but also said his team had no equipment to review failure, needed to be taken to dealer who would probably not work with him. There are many of these failures on the internet, Also have friends how have had similar issues multiple times. How do i proceed?

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Vehicle speeds up and breaks uncontrollably. When stopped it displays several codes on the dashboard 1) power steering fail, increased effort, driving permitted, 2) GRA/ACC fault driving permitted 3) faulty windshield wipers No fault codes are found with a code reader.

the rear view (and front and side) cameras work intermittently. This makes parking very difficult and when backing out of the driveway you cannot see if there is an object in the vehicle's path. Issue started several months ago and has been getting progressively worse (more frequent). Have noted that other owners have same issue reported on various forums.
