My wife, [XXX] , purchased a 2005 Acura TL on [XXX]. The car was not inspected, it had a hole in the oil tank, was leaking battery acid, had broken control arms, wore out rotors, wore out brake pads, bald tires, Vehicle Stability Control disabled, no AC, cracked dashboard where the passenger air bag is located, and the alignment was so bad that the car would try to pull very hard off of the road. Toxic hot fumes entered the cockpit during my wife's drive home from the car dealership. The fumes made her feel sick and gave her a horrible headache because of the leaking battery acid and perhaps the hole in the oil tank. It's a health and safety issue that needs to be taken seriously. The used car dealership (Premium Auto Outlet Inc.) is selling vehicles to customers and are not providing them with the title. My wife paid in full, yet she had to fight to receive the title. The employees scream at there customers, including my wife and also tell them to leave the property when asking for the title and when confronted about vehicle mechanical issues. The female employee even screamed over the phone at our mechanic (Delran Auto Repair) who tried to tell the employee that the car was not is sellable condition due to the safety and mechanical problems. Please review the Google reviews and Facebook reviews for more horrible customer experiences when it comes vehicles being sold in horribly unsafe mechanical condition, withholding titles, unlawfully repossessing, screaming at customers and ignoring customer complaints. The best resolution for my wife and I would be for the dealership to pay for all of the repair bills that accrued (roughly $4K) due to the car being sold in unsafe condition and most importantly the prevention of any health and safety issues due to the selling of unsafe mechanically condition vehicles to future customers. Please investigate this issue for the health and safety of people. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was driving and all of a sudden I hit a pot hole and then when I went to take a turn my car ended up making a shaking rattling sound when I pulled to to side to check it the ball joint was half way out of the control arm

Ball joint purchased from Napa Auto Parts #260-1791was defective. Nut supplied with ball joint was too small. This caused the ball joint to separate from the steering knuckle. After driving a very short distance the front end of the car collapsed, causing the front axle to break. The car fell on the front fender damaging it. This is the same problem reported in 2011. [XXX] This is a serious safety issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2004 Acura TL. The contact stated while driving at 60 MPH with her mother in the front passenger’s side seat, her mother informed her that the vehicle was bouncing. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the front lower control arms, shocks, and bushings were replaced; however, the contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver's side of the vehicle dropped significantly and the vehicle stopped. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 11E022000 (Suspension). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

I purchased this used car and while driving the VSA (Vehicle Stability Assis) light comes on with the accompanying trianlge with exclamation point. When the light comes on while driving the car will tug you to the right. Once you stop the vehicle and turn off and re-start the light will turn off. As you drive again, the light comes on and tugs the vehicle to the right. When we purchased the vehicle I drove it home with my 16 year old (it is planned to be his first car) and I was on the highway going 60 and the VSA light came on and tugged the vehicle to the right. I did not lose control but it can definitely catch someone off guard and cause them to over correct. I took the car in to a local auto shop and they said there was a fault on the VSA module and a couple of other issues. I spent $1,300 to replace both front bearings, hubs, 1 speed control sensor because they recommended that be done before looking to replace the VSA modulating assembly ($1,800 + install). I checked the Acura site and (https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls) but there is nothing there about a recall for the VSA module. I have seen other posts online of people saying that the car pulls to the right when the VSA light comes on so I seems to be an issue. In winter conditions having an issue like this could cause an over correction and/or loss of control which could cause an accident.

I was told by a mechanic that this 2006 Acura TL I bought from Joe's Garage here In Clovis Ca was a car I do not want to be driving. Now when purchased from Joe's Garage he stated he put engine didn't say new or used, He also said the car was practically brand new because previous owner was a high school kid who assume he cracked his radiator and was not the problem, but the kid bought a new car and left Acura there since. Since the purchased I had nothing, but engine problems told Joe never responded I did my own research come to find out Joe's business licensed was suspended and that where he got my car Acura to pass smog of course was a smog business already being investigated for passing car illegally. So I took my Acura to Acura dealer here In Fresno Ca I was told all motor mounts were cracked so they replaced all motor mounts and installed used motor charging me $7,000 at that time I was in the process of suing Joe's Garage however since I have had no car emotionally distress because I paid $2700 for Acura trusting this business man come to find out its Salvaged vehicle now you can understand how frustrated I am not including the losses in my life back to back not been able to just mourn rest etc because of cruel business companies intentions. I'm not asking for much all I want is for you to give Acura Dealer here in Fresno ca the ok to make sure my car is or passed the safety and drivable test making sure everything on car is safe to drive at no cost to me. I have grandkids who are my world and I need to have a good reliable car for them Nathan here at Acura Dealer called me yesterday asking me if I had money, I said no I will file my taxes and see but I honestly feel and would appreciate your help on closing the two companies for good and release my car to me at no cost.

SEVERAL YEARS AGO I EXITED A HIGHWAY, CAME TO A STOP SIGN AND WHEN I MADE A RIGHT TURN THE DRIVERS SIDE BALL JOINT BROKE. I HAD THE REPAIR DONE AND LUCKILY I DIDN'T HURT AO OR MYSELF. THANK YOU STAY SAFE. I THINK IT WAS IN 2015.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 ACURA TL. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN, A LOUD BOOM SOUND WAS HEARD FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE SOUND CAUSED THE WHEELS TO "MOVE UP AND DOWN". THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND REPAIRED. THE DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR SPECIFICS WERE NOT DISCLOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 ACURA TL. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE BALL JOINTS AND AXLE FRACTURED AND THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE AXLE AND BALL JOINTS FAILED AND FRACTURED DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE BALL JOINTS AND AXLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE REVERSING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD A POP SOUND. WHEN HE STOPPED THE VEHICLE, IT DROPPED TO THE GROUND. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL WAS LEANING AT A SIXTY DEGREE ANGLE AND THE FENDER WAS BENT OUTWARDS. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 142,000.

FAILUER OF THE FRONT ALUMINUM FRAME WAS OBSERVED ON MY CAR DURING A STATE INSPECTION BY AN OBSERVANT TECHNICIAN. THE COMPLIANCE BUSHING IN THE FRONT STRUT ASSEMBLY FAILS WITHOUT GIVING THE DRIVER AN AUDIBLE OR DRIVING SIGNAL. THIS CREATES METAL ON METAL CONTACT BETWEEN THE STRUT AND ALUMINUM FRAME - WEARNIG THRU THE ALUMINUM FRAME ARM EXTENSION WHICH SUPPORTS THE METAL ROD TO THE WHEEL. THE ALUMINUM FRAME WILL EVENTALLY FAIL CAUSING LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. THIS WOULD BE LIFE THREATENING AT HIGHWAYS SPEEDS. I HAD TO HAVE THE ENTIRE FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY REPLACED TO MITIGATE THIS RISK.

MOTOR FRAMES OR ENGINE CRADLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS BADLY RUSTED, AND IT ABOUT TO FALL APART. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT PART, AND EVERYONE OF THEM THAT THAT I HAVE FOUND HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. I FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM WHEN I WAS TRYING TO REPLACE THE FRONT ROTORS BACK IN JUNE OF THIS YEAR 2018 AND I HAVE NOT BEEN DRIVING IT BECAUSE I ALSO NEED TO REPLACE THE DRIVE AXLE AND I COULDN'T FIND THE ENGINE CRADLE FOR REPLACEMENT, I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT.

I HAVE SOME SUSPENSION RELATED ISSUES THAT HAVE RECENTLY BEEN DIAGNOSED THAT ARE INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 11E022000 BUT WHEN I TYPE IN MY VIN# ON YOUR WEBSITE IT SAYS THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR THIS ITEM ON MY 2008 ACURA TL. I HAVE ANOTHER DIAGNOSED ISSUE WITH THE STEERING FROM YOUR RECALL # 08V091000 AND THERE IS NO LISTING FOR THIS RECALL ON MY VEHICLE ON YOUR WEBSITE. I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS LOSING POWER STEERING FLUID DUE TO INTENSE HEAT AND THAT THE POWER STEERING HOSE IS DETERIORATING. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR ME TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE, YET SEE THE RECALL IS FOR CERTAIN 2008 MODELS. WHO CAN HELP ME WITH THIS? ANOTHER DIAGNOSED ISSUE IS THE POWERTRAIN RECALL # 04V176000 THAT IS ALSO NOT LISTED FOR MY VEHICLE. I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE GEARS AND AM WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE 2ND GEAR. I WILL BE NOTIFYING HONDA, ON ALL THESE ISSUES, BUT THE PUBLIC NEEDS TO BE AWARE ON THE DETERMINATION OF "CERTAIN 2008" MODELS.
