Vehicle was driven the day before the incident occurred. The morning of the incident, the vehicle was parked, off and not running. A notification sent to my phone indicating a critical battery low 11.1V reading. Vehicle would not start. Vehicles battery and alternator charging system was tested and passed. All systems are good. Vehicle continues to give critical low voltage over night while the vehicle is off and not running.

A GM software update removed the ability to seek radio stations using the steering-wheel controls, forcing me to use the center infotainment screen for a routine task that previously could be done without looking away from the road. Since this change, I have experienced unintended lane deviation while trying to change stations. I reported the issue to GM, but they only documented the complaint and provided no corrective action. I am asking NHTSA to evaluate whether this software change creates an unreasonable driver-distraction safety risk.

On 7/28 while driving my vehicle, the ABS and traction control light came on unexpectedly (the symbol with the car and squiggly line in front of it). Nothing is wrong with the vehicle for these lights to come on as I keep up with all maintenance and repairs to this suv seeing that im the only owner. Then the next day, I noticed my truck keeps accelerating uncontrollably and then out of nowhere, the brakes would activate as if i am driving on ice (its summer time, there is no snow or ice on the roads). This issue keeps happening and today I almost got in a car accident for my vehicle accelerating on its own and when I went to apply the brakes, it barely stop the car. My car has brand new brakes, brake fluid is new, etc. Next thing I see on my dashboard it said service the stablitrak. I went to do research on this and I found that this is a common issue with all GM cars that was made 2014 to 2019. I have a 2016 Chevy Tahoe LT and have never had any issues with .y vehicle until now. I read there was a recall on models like my truck and when I put in the VIN, it said there was no recall. This is fraud because I know me almost getting into an accident had something to do with the stablitrak and GM should fix this issue seeing that the programming of the power steering and other features is on GM's end, not mine. This is a very bad safety hazard and if it wasn't for me applying the emergency brake, me and the car I would have hit would have been in serious danger. I see that I am not the only person with this issue and a Chevy serviceman said that this is a common problem with vehicles like mine and they are not sure why there isn't a recall on the stablitrak. I have children and I am afraid to drive the vehicle because of mostly all electrical components have been disabled due to the faulty stablitrak. This is putting the safety of myself and my children at grave danger and risk and something has to be done for our safety

Out of nowhere without any warning light all of a sudden couldn’t back up when geared into reverse to reverse. Turned the vehicle off and back on, then was able to reverse. Left parking lot and was on the road and vehicle started loosing speed, then put into park with hazard lights. When attempting to get off the road for safety reasons tried putting into drive and the car then drove in reverse. Local Fire department came and called in the local police dept for assistance and pushed vehicle off to the side and tow company came and took to the auto shop with information today of the transmission going out, and with that causing happening causing the Fluid to Smell Burnt and Full. The auto shop test Drove and made It 30 Feet and Would Not Move. Transmission Is Failing and Causing the Concern.

They radio screen and radio navigation system. It will run batteries down replaced 2 Batteries this year. Radio goes haywire changes channels, makes dinging sound, navigation goes off. Screen moves jumps changes volume. Hard to drive very distracting and navigation stops working. None of this will stop until the vehicle is turned off and generally on restart it starts back up. Makes for very unsafe driving distraction. It started about a year ago it would happen occasionally now it’s every time you start the vehicle and drive. The constant noise and movement is again unsafe distracting and disrupts driving and anyone trying to have a conversation in my vehicle. Very very unsafe…

WHEN IT RAINS REALLY HARD, THE ROOF IN THE B PILLAR LEAKS ABOVE THE SEAT BELT AREA INTO THE HEADLINER. MY HUSBAND WHO IS AN AUTOBODY TECHNICIAN HAS MADE SURE MY SUNROOF LINES ARE CLEAR AND THE WINDSHIELD MOLDINGS AND SEALS ARE GOOD. HE HAD ANOTHER ONE AT HIS PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND IT WAS THE ROOF WELDS, WHICH ARE DONE BY THE MANUFACTURER. I AM HEARING MORE AND MORE TAHOE OWNERS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. AS MUCH AS THESE VEHICLES COSTS US, THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. THIS CAUSES MOLD IN THE ROOF AND RUSTING. THIS HAS TO BE LOOKED INTO BECAUSE THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR IF I NEED TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM FIXED AND COULD ALSO CAUSE HEALTH ISSUES IF NOT ADDRESSED WITH THE MOLD.

Space does not allow for a complete statement. However, here is a summary. I purchased my 2023 Tahoe on 07/19/23. On 07/27/23, the check engine light came on. Since then, there have been approximately 8-9 instances where the check on. Each time I took the vehicle in for service, however, the check engine light kept coming back on. There have been 2 instances in 2026 where the vehicle would not start, and then the check engine light came on. A Chevrolet dealer service advisor told me that this is a known issue with GM and Chevrolet; however, no remedy has been found yet.

The rear AC evaporator located behind the paneling in the rear of the vehicle was leaking AC freon r-1234yf. This was diagnosed after a weeks long troubleshooting by my mechanic trying to find the leak in the rear AC lines causing the vehicle to fail the vacuum test. After he showed me the part and where the cracks were, he suggested I report this as a safety issue since the coolant was leaking inside the car and is highly flammable. He also said he has had many other GM vehicles with the same issue and thought a recall should be issued.

The clear coat has completely failed on mainly the hood and roof of the entire vehicle. Each of the sides have lost a good amount of shine too but there hood and roof are a compete different color compared to the rest of the Tahoe. The paint is the pewter/grey so it is extremely noticeable and very much an eyesore.

Vehicle: 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe RST The backup camera and HD Surround Vision system on my 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe have experienced repeated failures despite multiple repair attempts by an authorized Chevrolet dealership. The failure presents as a black screen displaying a red warning triangle and a crossed-out camera icon when the vehicle is placed in reverse or when camera views are selected. The parking sensors continue to function, but no camera image is available. The vehicle was first repaired in July 2025 (6705 miles) after the dealership diagnosed heat damage to the rear camera coaxial cable located in the liftgate area. The cable was replaced, and the vehicle was returned to service. The camera system failed again the same day. The vehicle was subsequently returned to the dealership, where the liftgate harness was replaced in Aug 2025. Following the repair, the camera system operated normally for a period of time before the same failure condition returned. At approximately 16,500 miles (May 2026), the backup camera and HD Surround Vision system have again become inoperative. This represents at least the third occurrence of the same issue despite prior repairs involving replacement of camera-related wiring components. The loss of the backup camera and surround vision system significantly reduces rearward visibility while backing, parking, and maneuvering the vehicle. Because the condition is intermittent and recurring, the driver cannot reliably depend on the camera system to function when needed. I am submitting this complaint because the issue has recurred multiple times after repair attempts and may indicate a broader defect affecting the vehicle's camera system.

Two years in a row my car leaked a significant amount of water through every light button any hole in the ceiling. It also leaked all over the center counsel while driving and came through the foot pedals all over my feet and the entire floor of the vehicle while driving. The value of my car has been destroyed and Chevrolet is not taking this seriously. They have told me they will only replace the roof liner and half the carpet. They are not acknowledging the potential damage done to the electrical system and the overall value of the car from bad smells that have been caused by dirty water soaking the entire interior. My car is ruined and it should be replaced.

As i was driving down the road at approximately 40-45mph the sunroof spontaneously exploded. Sounded like a shotgun going off. Fortunately i had the sun shade shut but still tiny glass shards came in and fell on my child and the entire interior in the mid section of vehicle. There was no vehicle in front of me, it was night time with temps in mid 70’s no reason it should've exploded outward as if a gun shot from inside of vehicle which also implies nothing hit glass. Vehicle is at mcconnel automotive dealership where they are telling us that warranty will not cover this and we must claim on our insurance. I also called GM headquarters and they denied claim as well (case# 95312600) have spoke with several other owners on a facebook group this has happened to and GM has and is denying warranty coverage on them as well.

Check engine light illuminated on my 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. Upon diagnostic scan, the following emissions-related fault codes were present: P11D5 (NOx sensor), P14D9 (NOx sensor), P2383 (EGR pressure sensor), and P2C7A (NOx catalytic converter efficiency). All components are available for inspection upon request. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Chevrolet dealership for diagnosis. The dealer acknowledged the emissions codes but stated that unrelated components would need to be repaired at owner expense before the emissions system would be addressed, despite these codes falling within the federally mandated 8-year/80,000-mile emissions warranty. The fault codes were confirmed by the dealership. No safety incident has occurred to date, however degraded NOx and EGR function can result in increased harmful emissions output and potential engine performance issues. Warning lamps appeared without prior incident or symptom. The manufacturer has not offered to cover the emissions components under the federal emissions warranty without the owner first paying for additional repairs that may or may not be causally related to the emissions system failure. When the dealer was directly asked, "Are you saying the emissions system itself is functioning correctly, and something else caused these codes to appear?" — the dealer did not provide an answer. This question was asked in order to clarify whether the emissions components themselves are degraded or failed, which would confirm warranty coverage eligibility. The dealer's failure to answer this question directly is noted as part of this complaint.

After a rain fall a "swooshing" sound is heard above, water will pour through the overhead lights where the onstar is, the seatbelts and the back interior lights. The drain tubes to the sunroof have been cleared and the problem still persist. When the water comes in the buttons start blinking and it causes a risk to the person driving when they are distracted by the water pouring in and the water pooling under your feet possibly causing your foot to slip while driving.

The air conditioning system fails to cool. My vehicle only has 47,000 miles on it currently and is well-kept. A professional garage inspected and advised that there was a leak in the refrigerant system. I contacted my local Chevrolet dealer Jeff Gordan Chevrolet where I purchased the vehicle new and they said the issue was not under warranty and that my warranties had expired. I AM SUBMITTING THIS COMPLAINT REGARDING AN ACCIDENT INVOLVINGMY 2022 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE I WAS DRIVING NORMALLY, THE REAR WHEELS SUDDENLY LOCKED UP, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL AND CRASH INTO A WAL. THE IMPACT WAS SEVERE ENOUGH THAT THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I WAS NOTIFIED ON 02/13/2026 ABOUT THE RECALL BUT THE RECALL STATUS (REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE) WITH RECALL NUMBER N252536750 STOP DELIVERY- REAR WHEEL LOCKUP. THEN ON 03/12/2026 I RECIEVED AN EMAIL STATING THE RECALL STAUTUS (REMEDY AVAILABLE). ALSO, ON 03/15/2026 I RECIEVED ANOTHER EMAIL WITH A RECALL STATUS (REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE) WITH RECALL NUMBER N252536750 STOP DELIVERY- REAR WHEEL LOCKUP. I HAVE SINCE THEN BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT POSSIBLY DUE TO A TRANSMISSION CONTROL VALVE ISSUE. AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT, THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. BECAUSE THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT FAILURE DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL, I BELIEVE THE DEFECT DIRECTLY CAUSE THE LOSS OF CONTROL AND RESULTING CRASH. I AM REQUESTING THAT THIS INCIDENT BE INVESTIGATED AND THAT GENERAL MOTORS REVIEW RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGES RELATED TO THIS DEFECT.
