The exhaust clamp rusted and broke, causing a hole in the exhaust which set off the engine light and eventually poisoned my catalytic converter costing $4000 to replace. GM's extended warranty exception for the admitted defect is to replace the clamp and flex pipe only, about $100 worth but they refused to cover the peripheral damage caused by the faulty clamp.

I bought my traverse in 2024 it’s now two year later and my entire transmission needs replaced no longer shifting between 1000& 2000rpms this is a known issue with these vehicles and there hasn’t been a recall yet. Also the button in my shift knob tells me it is not in park (shift to park) even though it’s clearly in park. Along with the transmission issue the stabilitrack warning comes on every time the car comes out of auto shut off and jumps forward. How is this safe?

My car started making a sound similar to a cracked muffler but it was a very quiet sound that lasted a minute or two and went away. I thought something was loose and took to repair shop. My catalytic converter was cracked & the mechanic said it was in a place he had never seen before. Very high up. He tried to go through GM but my issue isn’t the same as any other that had been reported. My car only has 53,536 miles on it and I bought it new in October of 2019. I maintain consistent maintenance on it at the same repair shop. There is a recall on this car about emissions and possibly affecting the catalytic converter. If I do not fall into that recall so be it but maybe I am not the only person reporting this issue. I just want to have it on record in case it ever does become a recall.

I keep having emission problems. The first time I took it to the dealership they fixed then it messed up again had that fixed about three months later check engine light was on again same thing had it fixed for the third time check engine light went off and of course came back home had to fix it again it’s off for now. I’m just waiting for it to pop back on. Second problem that I’ve been having is the fuel pressure sensor changed it light went off now it’s back on. They say change the fuel pump just to see. Did that check engine light back on? When is the check engine light gonna go off another problem that I’ve been having shift to park that pops up every so often at this point, I do not recommend Chevy traverses too many problems and nobody fixing them

"Shift to Park" alarm continues to appear when the car is in park. At times it does not clear for 10 minutes or so. On a couple of occasions I could not get it to go away for 30 minutes. Transmission went out does not move at all with only 49,000 miles on the car the car always had sifting problems. Brought the car brand new off the lot. One owner. Before the Transmission went out when I will stop at the red lights or stop signs the car would just take off for no reason. Shift to park notice. For several months the shifter has had issues going into park. The shifter is in the park position but isnt reading. I know a few other people with similar Traverse models in my area having the same issue. Im also aware that some models of GM SUV have already recalled this part. After having to wait over 5 minutes multiple times for the car to recognize that its in the park position I decided to get this replaced. Vehicle: 2019 Chevrolet Traverse High Country Mileage at Failure: ~68,897 miles Problem: Rear auxiliary evaporator leaked refrigerant, causing the A/C to blow warm and fail. Safety Concerns: Loss of cooling performance in high summer temperatures → potential heat stress risk for passengers, especially children and medically vulnerable occupants. Refrigerant leaking inside the vehicle → potential inhalation exposure for occupants. Diagnosis: Dealer confirmed refrigerant leak from rear evaporator; repair cost $1,763.05. Chevy traverse 2019 second time tried breaking down on the highway. First incident engine light came on. The vehicle slowed down and would shake pushing on the gas pedal. The moment the car arrived at the destination is stop working. Second incident it stop on the highway and would go on drive or reverse. Had to stop the car and turn it back on while on the freeway. The car drove for 1 hour then when the car stop at the stop light it had a hard time driving had to push all the way just to get it drive slow. It had a hard time moving but it tried. My 2019 Chevrolet Traverse when putting my car in park to turn off the vehicle. The dashboard is telling me to put my car in park when it is already in park. Then the car doesn’t shut off completely and it kills the battery. The parking assist is a safety issue. If in fact my vehicle isn’t noticing the car is in park then it’s a safety concern. Shift to Park message on the dash when attempting to turn the vehicle off (in park). Known issue for GM vehicles and safety issue because you can't turn the vehicle off or lock it and it continues to get progressively worse to the point you can't leave the vehicle, and I am getting worried the vehicle may not actually be in park. This is a known issue that costs around 1000 to fix and should have been corrected when it was discovered years ago to prevent issues with the vehicle.
