This started happening about two weeks ago. My check engine light came on and my OBD scanner said a NOX sensor code showed. I told the dealership and I guess they cleared the code and it hasn’t reappeared but the reduced acceleration has maintained. It was [XXX] I had just go of work and needed gas. While traveling to the gas station I got notification that my acceleration was being reduced and it was very noticeable. After arriving and pumping gas, I started the car and got 3 additional messages. The car aside my brake assist and ESC needed service, my ABS system was off, and my forward collision system was off. While driving, I noticed that the brakes were still working but acceleration was still being reduced. This is an everyday use car and I have a 6 children who I don’t feel are safe anymore in the car. Not being able to utilize the brakes and the reduced acceleration is very concerning especially when in traffic. I have a little over 27500 miles on the car. It just came from the dealership to get the telematics module replaced last week because it went out about a month ago. I’ve only had this car a year and it seems like the issues are becoming more common everyday. I will be taking care back to dealership tomorrow. Wife had car sitting over night from doing a EMS shift. Went out to car in morning to start to return home and when car started ABS light, ECS light, Brake Light, and Collision light came on. This has resulted in no ABS or safety features. Called dealer and can't look at car for over a month. There was no mention about not driving. If the wife needs ABS or front radar, she will not have it resulting in a more serious accident.

Instrument cluster/driver display malfunction. Driver display is the only source of spedometer, revs, gear selection, mileage, and gas level. Display began flickering black randomly. Spedometer is not able to be seen. All instruments unable to be seen when flickering/display off. Shortly after flickering, display went completely black. Vehicle currently inoperable due to lack of instrument cluster. Vehicle scheduled for service on Monday morning. No warning lamps or other symptoms prior to issue occuring.

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Super Cruise or Cruise Control would not deactivate when the On/Off button was depressed, causing the steering wheel to flash red and the vehicle to suddenly shift down in velocity. A message "Super Cruise not available" was displayed on the instrument panel. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

I am reporting a serious safety concern involving my 2026 Chevy Traverse that occurred on May 9, 2026 at 6:46pm. While driving at freeway speed in the carpool lane with adaptive cruise control and gap assist engaged, my vehicle suddenly applied the brakes unexpectedly even though there were no vehicles directly in front of me. The nearest visible vehicle was a significant distance ahead, and there was no apparent reason for the braking event. This was not a gradual deceleration. The vehicle actively braked. I was passing under or near an overpass at the time, which makes me wonder whether the sensors misread something. Regardless, the sudden braking created a dangerous situation because vehicles were behind me, and the driver behind appeared to think I was brake checking them. This could have easily caused a rear end collision. As a result of this incident, I no longer feel I can trust these safety/driver assistance systems and have since disabled those features because I do not feel safe relying on them until this issue is properly investigated and addressed. I am requesting that this issue be formally documented, that the vehicle be inspected for any malfunction related to adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, or related sensor systems, and that I be advised whether this is a known issue with the 2026 Traverse. If there are any software updates, technical service bulletins, recalls, or corrective actions available, please let me know. This is a serious safety concern, and I would appreciate guidance on the next steps.

This was one of about ten times this has randomly happened when using Super Cruise. We were heading south on I-41 and super cruise is active and set around 80 mph, I entered an area where Super Cruise became unavailable or the system indicates that road information is not available, the vehicle immediately began to rapidly decelerate to under 60 mph within 5 seconds of the vehicle notifying me with red bar on steering wheel and one buzz of my seat. Causing serious concern for safety of my family in the vehicle. During this deceleration, I am unable to override or stop it — pressing the brake pedal does not cancel the slowdown, applying the accelerator has no effect, and no control buttons will disengage Super Cruise. All pedals are dead. All buttons to cancel do not disengage what the CAR is doing. The vehicle continues to slow down on its own, which poses a significant safety risk on highways and interstates.

Since I acquired the vehicle at around 100k miles, there is a transmission shift wobble at 30mph, 40mph, 45mph, 60mph and 65mph. I drove a manual transmission for over 10yrs prior to this vehicle and when this transmission wobble happens, I just reved a bit and let the gas go so it shifts better into the next gear. I just got used to it, my worry began when the wobble would happen while on cruise control. No check engine light comes on, there’s no computer codes registering, it just shakes and wobbles like the tranny is gna give out around those speeds.

Limp mode. It doesn't have speed only goes about 10-20 mph, doesn't give any gas it'll stall act as if it wants to shut down. Transmission Shift Cable. "Phantom Braking" with over 13 events the 2024 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE LT unexpected and abrupt activated the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system when there was no obstacle, vehicle, or collision risk present! If an Mac Truck was behind us tailgating at the time we would have been killed! The dealer is downplaying the issue acting like they have never seen this before. They question is we know what AEB is and how it works "WE DO!". On top of that the 2024 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE LT breaks are completely defective. Deal inspected them on 6/25/2025 then we purchased on 8/14 drove it for 2,290 miles and they claim the breaks needed replacement. So we paid for that and still the breaks make a bad grinding sound and it is hard to stop the SUV. Please investigate ;(

I’ve had this vehicle for about a year or less the car ran fine with minor problems that come with having a vehicle. Up until last week the car never showed any signs of a failing transmission, it went from running fine to shuttering and suddenly I wasn’t able to reverse. The check engine light never came on, I’ve did all my routine checks and more with the dealership I bought it from and was never told anything when the vehicle was brought in for inspections.

8/4/25 Vehicle was pulling from side road to main highway when lights and warnings came on dash cluster. brakes were very soft and not very responsive, car was slowed down on its own. Was able to pull into a driveway and take photos of some of the messages. One said service traction control, one said service ASC, and one said ‘brake assist fail, press hard to brake, speed reduced. After restarting car all was normal. 8/11/25. Sitting in some morning traffic and all the same messages came up and brakes were soft again. Was able to keep some distance between myself and other cars until I could get off the road. Immediately made an appointment for dealership service. After restarting car, all was normal again. Took car to dealership at appointed time and they kept it for a week and only did test drives to try and recreate problem. When they couldn’t they returned the vehicle to me with nothing done but clearing codes and checking for updates. This is unacceptable. I am hauling my precious grandchildren in a brand new vehicle that could have a braking failure at any time. Obviously braking failures can cost lives. There is a GM service bulletin for this exact problem in December 2024 (N242482170) requesting the master cylinder should be replaced. This service bulletin doesn’t extend to the 2025 Traverse model and it should as the problems are exactly the same. I hope this can be resolved. I’m very uneasy driving now and just keep wondering when this will happen again and how bad it could be.

Brake light, ABS light, Forward collision light and Traction control light all come on when the car was started. Had to be towed to Woody Folsom dealership in Baxley, GA and is currently still there. Was told it was the brake master cyclinder and it is on nationwide backorder. The part came in this week and they put it in and could not get the car to program. They are waiting for another brake master cyclinder to arrive. So I am at 8 weeks of the car being down and in service at the dealership with no estimated date of when and if it can be fixed. I have received Onstar notifications that says A critical issue with the engine and transmission system in your 2025 Chevrolet Traverse has been detected. The battery in your 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is critically low.

August 6, 2025 I was driving and it started to rain and there was a little rain on the road and my vehicle appeared to be hydroplaning. I had never experienced that before and it scared me to the point that I reduced my speed significantly. I arrived at my destination and was there for about three hours and when I started my 2025 Chevrolet Traverse I had 4 lights come on my dashboard along with a warning chime. The lights were the BRAKE LIGHT, ABS LIGHT, FORWARD COLLISION ASSIST LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT; and a Service ESC and Service Brake Assist message popped up in separate boxes from the lights themselves. I turned off my Traverse and hoped it was some fluke thing and again the same lights came on and same messages. I drove my vehicle home cautiously and parked it. I called the dealer I purchased it from the following morning and was given a service appointment 11 days out and I stated that was unacceptable since I was not sure the vehicle was safe to drive from everything I was reading online. The service dept stated that they could place it on a machine if I stopped into the dealership and let me know if was safe to drive. My husband drove it to the dealership 25 miles away and wasn't happy with the service department and spoke to a manager and he stated they would look at my vehicle the following day and gave me a loaner. My husband advised the manager that everything I had been reading pointed to an issue with the master brake cylinder and the parts are on backorder and the manager said he hadn't heard of any issues with them. I received a call 4 days later after asking the status of my new car repeatedly and was told that it is the master brake cylinder and a couple of the parts are on backorder and they don't know when they will arrive; could be a week, two or a month. I am extremely concerned about the seriousness of this issue and the lack of parts to repair the vehicle. As I stated, there are multiple incidents on google over this same issue.

Car with only 3900 miles brand new after 3 months the braking system, collision system, parking assist, ABS and brake lights appeared on dashboard, at the dealer since 07/14/2025, I was suggested not to drive the car. Same day called GM customer service and opened a case, the dealer gives me a rental car to use until the repair is finished. At the end of the same week I called again GM customer service asking about news and the parts was back ordered, they told me to wait 5 business days for a possible repurchase or for any updates for parts. Today 07/31/2025 I called again GM and they said that the parts were shipped but they didn’t had the tracking number, I called my dealer and the parts are in back order without eta.

Cracked exhaust & bracket back in 2023 causing a loud rattling noise. Now catalytic converter is cracked & gasket leak. Dealer does have notes that it was cracked & they noticed it in 2023 at 46k miles & that converter has now cracked causing engine light to turn on. Car does not speed up properly & GM only wants to cover 30 percent of cost.

Stepped on brake to disengage cruise control. The car accelerated instead of slowing, I turned off cruise and kept stepping on the brake the car kept accelerating. I had to shift to neutral stop the car and shut engine off. When I restarted it was disengaged. This has happened twice now.
