I am reporting ongoing infotainment and electrical failures in two 2024 Ford Bronco Sport vehicles (same trim), unresolved after two years of ownership on both. Apple CarPlay/Android Auto frequently freezes, disconnects, or becomes unresponsive while driving, forcing the driver to interact with the screen to restore functionality — a distraction hazard that can cause loss of navigation or hands-free operation while driving, increasing collision risk. Recovery often requires powering the vehicle off for several minutes. The center display screen also becomes hot to the touch during normal use, and the wireless charging pad overheats connected phones after 10–30 minutes, suggesting a hardware thermal design defect, not a software/app compatibility issue. Both vehicles have been to the dealership multiple times; only brief diagnostic scans were performed, with no reproduction of the overheating and no repair. Staff repeatedly claim they are "waiting on an iOS update," which does not explain hardware symptoms like screen heat or the multi-minute power-cycle required. Ford's 2025–2026 Bronco Sport received major hardware/software upgrades (larger screens, updated SYNC, standard wireless CarPlay), consistent with a redesign — leaving 2024-and-earlier owners stuck with hardware Ford has since replaced, with no recall or retrofit offered. Separately, Ford's July 2025 recall (25S76) for cracked fuel injectors/underhood fire risk on 2021–2024 Bronco Sport has only received an interim software alert update; the permanent hardware fix remains incomplete. This pattern of infotainment instability, overheating, and an unresolved fire-risk recall reflects unaddressed hardware/design defects warranting investigation.

My car began experiencing overheating and kept disabling 4WD while I was driving, smoke began to come out of the front hood and tailpipe. Took to repair shop and they stated my transfer case and harness was burned completely with unknown reason why this could occur. I see there is a recall for other bronco models for the same exact issue

This is not a complaint against the dealership, but against the individual that was in charge of compliance. I am an attorney in Maine and it started with the fact that under main law, a dealer has to give two keys and if they don’t have it for free calibrated, and I got one key in the master key was not given, and there was issues with that and the compliance guy and finance a warranty guy whose name I forget, but they know who he is cause I’ve talked to them. He told me he had never heard of it and I showed him the statute and I just didn’t argue but then February 7 six days after the recall for the 25V685000 engine block heater, recall compliance date was over with the first visit that occurred of cooling overheating because of that and I know about the recall from researching it, but this compliance finance warranty guy search his computer, so he looked like even though it’s the second one that pops up on my vin and lied to my face saying that there’s no recall about coolant systems and heater blocks, and not liking to be pissed on and until it’s raining I just said OK so it’s another problem occurs and there is a recall. You do understand that I like the family that owns this place. I’m going to come after you because if there’s any engine damage or whatever you have. To comply with recalls, and I didn’t let him know I knew about it.. well 30 days after suspension of my license when my boat battery goes down, I will clean the boat both cars sitting in the parking lot to start driving it and I turned on the coolant overheating again and as the heater block does cause a crack I fixed crack please do not come down with the dealership. It’s only a good family. Please ask for the Man office straight out the door with gray hair. That’s the one that I’m don’t know what I’m talking about. I don’t know if he has any license or anything, but he should be fined if anybody. Because there are two incidences because it was their opportunity to cure under law 7 of Feb 1st

Vehicle's "infotainment center" is totally dead. No backup camera & I am disabled, have great difficulty turning around to see when I back up (I've had a cervicle spinal fusion which limits my field of vision). Dealer states no other complaints & Ford cannot provide a fix for even just the backup camera problem until Oct.

Sometimes the Ford Bronco will hesitate to move from a stop position especially when the auto start and stop has been engaged during periods of driving. Also the vehicle hesitated when trying to change lanes. I had to push gas peddle all the way down in order to get into another lane. Several times the light is green for me to go and there is several seconds of hesitation and then the vehicle would go. The severity of these issues occurred in the months of April and May 2026, but I have taken vehicle into 2 different dealerships and they can't seem to locate problem

Clonninger Auto Body Shop 511 Jake Alexander Blvd S Salisbury NC 28147 The 2024 Bronco Sport owned by Megan Michaels was presented to our service department with a customer concern of a rattling noise coming from the rear of the vehicle, along with abnormal tire wear on the rear tires. Our Master Technician performed a road test and verified a clunking/rattling noise originating from the left rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was then lifted, and a comprehensive inspection of the rear suspension system was completed. During inspection, it was determined that the left rear lower control arm mounting point at the body has structurally failed. The mounting location where the control arm attaches to the body has separated from the vehicle’s floor structure, allowing the control arm to shift from its proper position into the body cavity where it should normally be securely supported. This condition has caused:  Excessive movement within the rear suspension system  The confirmed clunking/rattling noise  Abnormal rear tire wear due to improper alignment and instability Cause of Failure: The failure is the result of a structural separation of the lower control arm mounting point from the vehicle’s body. This is a failure of the vehicle’s structural floor assembly and is not related to a replaceable suspension component. Required Repair: Due to the extent of the structural damage, the vehicle will require replacement of the complete floor pan assembly in order to restore proper mounting integrity of the suspension system and ensure safe vehicle operation. If you have any questions or require additional documentation, please contact our service department directly.

I purchased my vehicle 6 months ago. I had no prior issues outside of a rough drive or a very slight burning smell from time to time. 12/2025 I found out through my auto insurance that my vehicle had a active safety recall (25S76) so I scheduled with my local Ford to get the temp software PCM update done until the remedy becomes available. Immediately after the software update I started getting a lot of system error codes; keys not detected, airbag fault, Tailgate open (when it wasnt), auto hold system fault, auto start/stop system fault, etc.. During this time I had issues with my break system "softening" like the breaks wanted to go out OR the break peddle locking up on me and being unable to move/drive. Delays in acceleration or spurts of acceleration which was uncommanded. This happened in active school zones making it even more unsafe and dangerous to drive. I took it back to my nearest dealership, and they could not replicate the issues but kept my case open and said to inform them if things changed. Things gradually got worse. I have video recording of my car accelerating without my foot on the peddle and my breaking peddle softening to the point of not working properly as well as hardening and locking up. I have photos of the errors when I was able to safely due so. I have full documentation that is not listed here (due to the amount of words allowed). I took my vehicle back and has been with Frontier Ford in Anacortes WA for 5 days. I have contacted Ford as well. I am unable to get a rental due to both Ford and the dealership both telling me to go to each other for help. I have no update as my vehicle is still in testing. They were able to replicate some of the issues but have no update outside of that. I have no way to work or take my children back and forth to their classes. My Ford dealership said this software has caused similar issues with other vehicles but my issue was a more severe case. I am unsure on how to move forward with this.

extreme loud vibrating noise coming from sunroof while driving at or above 35 mph. it may be bad design for rubber seal and body trim for the sunroof. for example: automatic car washing - hard rolling brushes hitting the top of the vehicle during the wash process, then there is the high pressure water rinsing from different directions, followed by a high wind vortex that causes every exterior surface extreme pressure and force. so, a few trips to the car wash, now causes your sunroof seal failure which may lead to a sunroof blow out while driving at 60mph on the high way... please ALERT ALL to this danger. sunroof seal failure. sunroof blowout. sunroof vibrating.

I have contacted ford directly and they still have not gotten a remedy for the unrepaired recall. My spouse and I went on a road trip that was 20 hour trip in total. They told us to keep driving it until it catches on fire because they did not have a remedy for it yet. We had just taken it in for an oil change and had them look the vehicle over due to the rpms keep jumping up even when going at low speed. The vehicle keeps loosing power and shakes when at idle or even when it starts up. We told ford about the smell of fuel or something when we walk by the hood of the vehicle and they said there was nothing wrong with it and that they didnt notice or smell anything when they did the oil change. When we talked to ford about our concern with the vehicle and that were were afraid to drive it especially since we have a baby and that we were told to continue driving it until it catches fire. We have a 9 month old who is in the vehicle daily due to having to go daycare. i am afraid for him being in the vehicle and it catching on fire or anything and not having enough time to get him out of the vehicle. Something needs to be done pronto or a law suit will be brought up

When coming from a stop at a traffic light vehicle losses power for approximately 15-20 seconds. This puts the driver of the vehicle, passengers, and other vehicle drivers operating on the roadway in danger of a major collision, possible bodily harm or even death. We have twice taken the vehicle to our dealership, where we purchased the vehicle; in order to fix the recall and we have had no success in gaining a remedy for the issues. The vehicle was seen twice by the Chandler, Arizona Earnheart Ford service department. There were no warning signs before the incident and they started appearing soon after the purchase of the vehicle. We have notice that the hotter it is outside the more frequent the loss of power occurs.

The vehicle was bought brand new in February of this year, 2025. Was bought and has been driven by my daughter who turned [XXX] this year. She went to camp and the vehicle sat behind the house till she got back. the vehicle and front windshield face west and is exposed to the summer sun from 11:30 till 8pm. When she got back and went to drive the car on [XXX], there was a large stress crack in the middle of the windshield. (will attach pictures if possible with this online form). I had my neighbor check his security camera to see if anyone had vandalized the vehicle or if there had been any large object fall on the vehicle. after reviewing his recorded video, we both saw that no one touched the vehicle and that nothing fell on the windshield during the time it sat. I contacted Ford Motor Co. and they instructed me to take it to the dealership and have them take a look and then submit a claim if they thought it was a stress crack from the sun. I took the vehicle in to the dealership on June 26, 2025 and was told I would hear updates over the next few days. Over a week went by and I had to call the service dept at Wyatt Johnson Ford in Nashville. The Assistant service manager stated that Ford Warranty was denying the claim and stated that something else must have caused the crack. The Assistant Manager told me that the technician had written that they believed it was a stress crack from sun exposure and had submitted photos that backed up that claim. Also, on the work order, the Assistant Manager also wrote that it was a stress crack from sun exposure. There is a deep, horizontal crack in the middle of the windshield that has no origination marks or indentations which one would expect from the way that Ford Motor Warranty is denying the claim. I have asked the Assistant Manager to resubmit the claim and I sent him the photos I had taken as soon as it was first noticed. The Heritage edition of the Bronco Sport has a piece white trim on the dashboard that causes a very distracting reflection on the windshield directly in the driver's line of sight. I feel there should be a recall for this piece of trim — replacing it with the regular dark strip used on the other Bronco Sport editions. Thank you for your consideration!

I was driving down the highway, and my moonroof exploded. I thought something had exploded or someone had shot at me. No other cars were around me that could have caused something to pop up and hit the roof. I did take it to the dealership service where photos were taken and submitted for a possible claim on the warranty. I only have about 2000 miles on the vehicle. My first payment isn't even due yet. Ford warranty declined the claim. It looked like it exploded upwards leading me to think this was an installation or material issue. Glass that exploded out flew off the roof of the vehicle scratching it as it dragged along. This could have hit another driver if one had been following behind me. I am currently awaiting a callback from the insurance adjuster.

While driving on the freeway, my Ford's sunroof spontaneously shattered. There were no vehicles in front of me, I live in San Diego County and the weather was in the mid-60's and I did not have my air on. It sounded like an explosion or gunshot. I immediately pulled off on to the shoulder and saw the shattered sunroof, and since I was about to exit to my house, I continued home and called the California Highway Patrol to report a potential gunshot to my vehicle. However, when the office arrived, he believed it was an implosion from the inside of the vehicle outward. This did appear to be the correct assessment as there was no glass inside the vehicle (I had seen glass fragments falling around the outside of my vehicle and in front of my windshield at the time of the explosive sound). Also, the glass was bent out towards the top of the vehicle consistent with an inside to outside breakage. I took it to my local Ford dealership and Ford has accepted responsibility for the defect and will replace my damaged sunroof at their cost.

When I start my Bronco, daily, there a vibration even as I drive out of my garage. Once I’m on the road I don’t feel the vibration. I have taken my Bronco to the dealer 2-3 times and they tell me the Bronco doesn’t do as I stated to them. I can’t make this up, I think the mechanics are not sure what is wrong. I love my Bronco and have owned many fords over the years and have never had this issue. They did tell me, I should drive it more and the vibration should stop. At least they admitted it was happening. I drive 16 miles a day, so I’m not sure how much I should drive daily , I’ve never been told I should drive more🤪
