Left a store on a frontage rd, drove about 1/2 mile , car just breaking out of no where, stoped in the middle of the road, the dash stated breaking malfunction see Dealer immidentaly car died, I restatred it , the dash still stated the same , the picture of the car had back lights flashing and the red Break sign was on , Took it to the nearest dealer and when they started it the warning system had erased. They inspected it, told me that they could not find anything wrong. I just leased it 2wks ago and only have driven it 3 times , not even a hundred miles and this happens. There were no warning signs of any kind . If I would have been approaching the freeway I could have been killed.

Lost all power and the warning light came on concerning brake system failure. The car came to a complete stop and would not accellerate, so had to shut down the system and restart in the middle of the road and luckily was able to drive home with only a brake light illuminated. There is definitely something wrong with the electrical braking system

I was driving on the highway yesterday when all of a sudden several errors flashed on my dashboard, and my gas pedal stopped working. When I pulled over, I noticed an error code that read: "Brake System Problem. Brake performance may be reduced". Not only did I lose all acceleration control, but the error codes tell me there are brake issues. After researching online it seems like many others have experienced this issue and some people found the issue was caused by a faulty Ignition Control Module.

Driving routine commute of 20 miles at Highway speeds on a clear weekday. The vehicle experienced ALL warning lights on dash and immediately went into limp mode. No power applied to the wheels when pressing the power pedal. Brought vehicle to the side of the road and powered off. Waited 30 secs to a minute and pressed Power and the only remaining error of "Brake System Problem" stayed up on the Driver display. Dropped vehicle off at the dealer, 3 miles from my job, to have them evaluate. After half a day the dealer stated "no problem found", "intermittent error". Now there is a known problem with late Honda vehicles with water intrusion into the tail lights and that in turn causes a short in the Braking system. I have noticed condensation in the tail light (Drivers side) but only a very small amount. Dealer stated they checked both tail lights and found no cracks or condensation. In my opinion my car falls into this category but dealer would not agree to a replacement assembly UNLESS they saw condensation in the tail lamp unit.

While driving 2023 Honda Accord at normal speed on rural road, the vehicle began to brake on it's own and driver could not over-ride this. Alarms for multiple failures showed on the dashboard. Car was stopped and would not move. Car was turned off then restarted. Dashboard alarms went away, only small information light for brake malfunction remained. Driver began to drive and tested brakes, all acted normally. Car was brought to Honda dealership. Dealership investigated and consulted with Honda engineers. They could not find a cause of the error, so nothing was fixed on the vehicle. Honda charged owner $150 to tell them nothing was wrong, even though car had taken control of brakes and stopped itself.

The yellow brake System Light illuminates on my dash. . I took my car to the Dealership immediately after the Brake System notification illuminated and the Dealer said they don't know how or why. I have a photo of the illuminated yellow light. My Electronic brake doesn't engage correctly when my car is parked I have video of the Electronic brake operating incorrectly. When i speak to the dealership they state that the Red Brake light did activate incorrectly. My car also slammed the brakes when there was nothing in front of me, causing the seatbelt to pull my neck violently. I was at risk of being rear ended. I've reported this to Honda America multiple times. The last incident caused so much anxiety and panic that I will not drive this car. I do not and will not continue to drive a car with brake issues. Please investigate. My car has been to the dealership nine times in one year and parked since 2/7/25.

I was driving approximately 60 mph on a local highway when my the check engine light came on. The dashboard then started flashing warning messages for multiple error messages stating that many features were failing such as power steering, acceleration, brakes, lane assist, stability assist, and more. My car then lost power and decelerated, coming to a complete stop in the middle of the highway. I was unable accelerate or steer my vehicle to the side of the road. No one hit me but this could have easily caused an accident where either myself or others were hurt. I turned the car off and when I restarted it, my dashboard message stated that I had a brake system problem and that I should see my dealer. I was able to drive to the dealer where they ran a diagnostic and could not replicate the problem. They only stated it was a loss of communication in the computer but that "it would probably not happen again." They did nothing to identify what could have caused the loss in communication and said if it happened again, to bring the car back. I plan to take it to a certified mechanic to inspect the vehicle but I feel very unsafe driving a car that may lose power.

See video here: [XXX] Description: Driving at a slow speed, all of a sudden my car went dead. Brakes went out, gas didn't work, and the car went through a series of errors essentially telling me nothing on the car worked. For around 30 seconds to a minute the car was non-responsive. Then eventually power came back and I got an error message telling me to take the car in because of a brake malfunction. This brake message was on the dash until I parked the car again, then there was no error and the car started up and behaved normally. This has happened twice, once in a parking lot, once in a parking garage. Luckily neither time I was headed towards another car, as I would have crashed. The vehicle unexpectedly stalled - lost power while driving and the brake system warning light came on. There were no warning lights, messages or other issues with the vehicle prior to this failure. Was fortunate that the car coasted to a stop on the side of a busy road with no traffic following behind. The vehicle was then towed to a Honda dealership for inspection. Was advised by the service department that there was a software update - unbeknown to us. The error code was cleared and the service department completed the pcm update per Service Bulletin 25-017.

The car suddenly lost all acceleration, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree (5 or six lights came on. Check engine, brake problem, battery, low tire sensor ect). Once stop i could not accelerate. I had to turn the car on and off twice to go anywhere. Once back on the brake system light stayed on stating there was a problem with the electronic braking system. If I didn't put my flashers on immediately I would have been rear ended by a truck that slammed it's brakes on behind me.

Vehicle has lost power twice: dashboard signals break issue - see dealer. Car totally loses power while driving. Both instances occurred under 40 MPH.Must find a safe place to stop to park and restart car. Cause is unknown. HONDA dealer saw car after 1st incident and could find nothing. Car will again be looked at by HONDA dealer. My safety and others' could easily have been put at risk, especially if this happened at a high speed during heavy traffic.

While driving the vehicle on a very busy highway, it completely stalled and several warning lights appeared: "Brake System problem SEE DEALER, Check Engine Light, TPMS, etc. I have attached a picture of the warning. Another vehicle behind me slammed on his brakes but ended up bumping my back bumper (no visible damage). Thankfully the driver was alert and was able to slam on his brakes to avoid a disaster on highway 270 (near Washington, DC). I was able to restart the vehicle after a few minutes, the warning lights remained on, and I was able to drive 8 miles to the dealership. According to the work order: "The technician pulled multiple codes, followed the diagnostic tree, cleared codes." I do not feel safe driving this vehicle and have seen other complaints regarding the same issue on a Honda Website. Please research and assist as best you can.

All of a sudden, the accelerator pedal stopped working --- all I really know is that the car wouldn't accelerate, regardless of how much I pressed on the pedal, and the car had to roll to a stop. A bunch of warning lights came on about the brakes malfunctioning, but I don't remember if the brakes actually stopped working (I was more focused on the fact that I couldn't accelerate --- this happened right as I was starting to move after a red light turned green). Thankfully this happened when I was going slowly in a residential area --- if I had been on the freeway and unable to get over to the shoulder before the car came to a halt, this could have caused a serious/fatal accident (or if the brakes really had stopped working, even in a residential area I could have crashed into something/someone). The car remained unresponsive until I turned the whole thing off and on again, at which point it started working like normal (although still with the warnings). I took the car to my dealership and they ran diagnostics, but they couldn't find anything and couldn't reproduce the problem when they drove it around, so they just shrugged and said I should "keep an eye on it and see if it happens again". So unfortunately I don't know what caused the problem or what to inspect (but I'm certainly not going to keep driving the car and risk this happening again).

The car stalled suddenly with hand brake pulled automatically while driving at a slow speed at a parking lot. The information center shows brake indicator flashing in red with description statements that include the brake might have reduced power and how to restart the car. Driving at low speeds in Somerville MA on [XXX]. 1 yr old car with about $6k miles. It was a hot day. Front display lit up with warning about brakes being degraded and take to dealer. It also showed tire warnings, and traction control warnings. I believe acceleration was greatly reduced. Pulled over. Turned car off and on, and most of the errors cleared, except a brake warning. I drove 5 minutes home. Power cycled again, and the brake warning disappeared. I put a code reader on it, and it showed numerous communications issues. Problem did not repeat. I took to dealer. They confirmed the codes, and communicated with Honda corporate. Honda confirmed they were aware of the problem, but they do not have a solution yet. Google Search showed that it is an isolated problem. If it had happened at highway speeds, it could have resulted in a major accident Attaching code report to show communications errors INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2023 car has 850 miles on it I was at a stop waiting for a train to pass when all warning dashboard lights came on. The brake would not work and the gas would not work. I turned the car off and restarted it and most lights went off except for the brake warning. I was able to turn around and take car to dealership. They said it was a faulty 12 volt battery and replaced it. I haven't had issues since but also haven't driven much. I have read of other honda owners having the similar issue.

Summary: vehicle shutdown while my wife was driving 25 MPH, lost all engine propulsion and brakes failed. Thankfully, she was driving in community/residential street and could pull over safely, rolling to a stop in a side lot. If she were at higher speeds or on a freeway, my wife and others could have been seriously injured. Details: Alerts for the brakes system "Brakes system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer" and one involving tire pressure (cannot recall the exact message) came on at 35 MPH. She then came to a stop at a stop sign normally about 30-60 seconds later, then proceeded to accelerate again, continuing on her short route. At 25 MPH, the instrument cluster, all screens/electronics went black/off, propulsion stopped and brakes failed. She was able to steer the vehicle to a side lot as it rolled to a stop. After 20 minutes of attempts to restart the car, it finally restarted as if nothing happened. Further more, in between attempts to restart the car, the infotainment screen would randomly turn on, despite not having turned on the car at that time. Subsequently drove to dealer for inspection and awaiting response. Vehicle has had no other problems, only 5500 miles, just under 1 year old.

[XXX] My wife was driving this hybrid vehicle when it suddenly lost power in middle of road about a city block from starting location. There were no reasons for any automatic hazard overrides to become active. Dashboard displays stayed on but there was no accelerator response, and, importantly, there was an immediate loss of power steering and power brakes. Vehicle was traveling uphill and the emergency brakes had to be applied to arrest backward motion after coming to a stop. Judging by rate of slowdown, regenerative braking may also have been active. Rapidly following this, several diagnostic/warning messages (re brakes, steering, etc) started flashing in succession and then the message "see your dealer." About 10 minutes after this incident, my wife made one attempt to restart the car after turning the car off and then on. The response was a repeat of the flashing messages. I arrived at the scene about 20 minutes after this and the car restarted in a normal fashion. So, unfortunately, this is an intermittent, difficult-to-firmly-diagnose problem. Nevertheless, in view of the severe safety issues associated with this failure, we had the car towed to a Honda dealer. They found several items in the car's diagnostic system and, in consultation with Honda engineers, performed a software update for the ICM (ignition control module?) which, we were told, would address this problem, since other similar complaints had apparently been registered. The HUGE SAFETY ISSUE that this failure represents (loss of power along with steering assistance and braking assistance plus possibly more rapid deceleration) cannot be overestimated. We will be risking our lives to believe that the software fix truly addresses this problem. To believe that a software update is a sure fix is to believe that Honda knows the exact reason for this failure, and if they do, it is absurd that a software recall has not been issued. Please follow up on this matter with Honda. Thank you. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
