The lane mitigation and brake system warning lights came on. The car swerved on its own off the road to the right. It put me onto the shoulder of the highway. I had to fight the steering wheel to get the car to move to the left to get back on the road. This happened twice during busy rush hour highway traffic. It also started braking periodically in the weeks leading up to this without any visible signs of being too close to an object or anything else. It was very unnerving.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Fit. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the front camera located on the windshield became inoperable. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated with a beeping sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the front camera failed to function properly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the camera unit and the aiming driving support had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,419.

Multiple engine lights turned on at the same time: brake system warning, ACC problem, Auto High beam problem, Road mitigation system problem, LKAS problem. Lights turned on this past week. UNKNOWN cause. Went to official Honda dealership, oil was changed and given a multi-point inspection. Everything showed as Satisfactory, except for front brakes that showed as May require future attention. Battery test was fine and the sensors were cleaned. However, the engine lights still show. I do not feel safe driving my car, given the red solid warning of the brake system and multiple other problems. I am unable to drive car late a night due to the high beam problem, this all poses a safety concern to me and the other drivers on the road.

Safety Risk: The failure of these systems creates significant safety risks. Without ACC, the vehicle cannot maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. The LKAS no longer provides steering assistance to help stay in the lane, and the CBWS cannot detect or warn of potential collisions. These malfunctions increase the likelihood of accidents, especially during highway driving or in heavy traffic. Problem Reproduction and Confirmation: The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by Norm Reeves Honda Cerritos during an inspection on 8/13/25. Inspection Details: The vehicle has been inspected by a dealer/service center, which diagnosed the problem. However, the manufacturer has not offered a resolution, nor has the vehicle been inspected by police, insurance representatives, or other parties. Warning Indicators: Before the failure, warning messages appeared on the dashboard, including alerts for ACC, LKAS, and CBWS system malfunctions. These warnings initially appeared on 8/12/25 and became more frequent over time. I believe this issue may be a design or manufacturing defect affecting other vehicles of the same make and model. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter to determine if it represents a broader safety concern.
