I have contacted HONDA dealership regarding this recall, however they inform that there is no replacement part available all across the nation and no ETA for new part become available. So I would like to report to NHTSA and file a complaint. Thanks.

Each of the last 4 summers I have had air conditioning issues, this vehicle does not blow cold air for roughly 30 minutes into active use of the vehicle. In the Arizona climate this creates a danger to children and elderly adults during the summer months.

On 8.1.26, while operating my 2019 Honda Odyssey, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic, un-commanded automatic emergency braking event followed by a total failure of the brake-release fail-safe mechanisms. While driving in active traffic, the vehicle's forward-facing sensor system suffered a false-alarm trigger. Due to a severe design and component vulnerability, the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) switch suffered a simultaneous internal mechanical and electronic hardware failure. Because the EPB switch failed internally at the exact moment of the automatic braking event, the system failed to command a brake release. The vehicle’s wheels locked completely, leaving the vehicle completely immobilized in active traffic. This multi-system failure resulted in an immediate, life-threatening crash hazard. By random circumstance and the grace of God, a catastrophic rear-end collision was avoided, but this was a severe near-fatal safety event. A professional automotive diagnostic scan confirmed that the vehicle's computer retained 2 distinct fault incident codes documenting the internal hardware failure of the EPB switch. The dealership confirmed that the system provides absolutely no advance warning to the driver, and fails entirely "in the event," meaning the vehicle remains safe until it suddenly and unpredictably locks the brakes on the highway. The vehicle was repaired out-of-pocket for $297 to replace the defective switch. I am filing this complaint because an internal electronic switch failure must never result in an un-commanded, un-releasable wheel lockup while a vehicle is in motion. This indicates a fatal flaw in Honda's braking fail-safe architecture. This issue must be investigated immediately before it results in a future serious or fatal acciden.

Date/Time: XXX, 10:08 AM Location: AutoNation Honda, [XXX] Vehicle: 2019 Honda Odyssey (fuel pump previously replaced under prior Honda recall) Summary: •Refueled vehicle the prior day; strong gasoline odor present in cabin immediately after and persisting overnight. •Odor remained strong the following day — described as intoxicating, required driving with windows down in 100°+ heat to reach the dealership. •Brought vehicle to AutoNation Honda for inspection. •Dealer staff initially attributed the smell to a change in Arizona gasoline ethanol content, stating it was “not a car issue, a gas issue.” •Spoke with Mike, Service Manager, who stated the dealership has inspected approximately 40 similar vehicles with the same complaint and found no resolution. •Mike indicated Honda (the manufacturer) is aware of the issue and is working on a fix, but does not currently have one. •No diagnostic inspection of this vehicle has been performed as of this note (10:08 AM). •Requested a loaner vehicle due to the vehicle being unsafe to drive with children present. Loaner was declined. •Requested the refusal be provided in writing/email. Dealer declined to provide anything in writing. •Mike texted his next-level contact regarding the issue; response indicated AutoNation/dealer has received no official communication from Honda (manufacturer) regarding this issue. •As of 10:08 AM: vehicle has not been diagnosed, no loaner has been provided, and no official Honda guidance has been given to the dealership. Impact: Owner has 4 children and no alternate vehicle. No family/friend backup transportation available. No funds available for a rental vehicle. -Front multipurpose camera internal failure. Apparently this is a known cause which creates a "christmas tree" of warning lights: lane keeping assist problem, adaptive cruise control problem, auto high beam problem, road departure mitigation system problem and collision mitigation assist problem. There is a class action lawsuit on this. - safety was at risk as I have 3 kids and I was worried that it was going to stall. I spent couple days going to the dealership and autozone trying to solve whether it was the battery, accelerator, or the camera and spent 125 dollars to assess the problem - problem has been reproduced my dealership. Just had it repaired - no other warning lights were present before this problem.

I was in a single vehicle car accident on Monday May 4th 2026 right at 6am central standard time. My 2019 honda odyssey has been totaled out by Insurance. Primarily all of the damages were on the front driver side, the air bags on both the steering wheel and under the steering wheel deployed but the side curtain airbag didn't not, and honda link also wasn't able to connect to emergency services once a crash was detected. The side curtain air bag not deploying has been pointed out and brought to my attention by almost every single person who has seen my vehicle since the accident. During the accident I swerved to avoid an animal that was running across the road and I over corrected and loss control and in a complete panic it has been assumed by everyone including myself that I accidently pressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake.

There is a plastic cap holding in a metal bar on the underside of the car seat that came off. The metal bar could potentially become a projectile. I’m unsure of the purpose of the metal bar. If it is for latching into the base, structure integrity, or seatbelt. The car seat has not been inspected by the manufacturer has requested it be shipped back and has provided a shipping label, however I have to acquire a new car seat to use in the meantime first and find a box that will accommodate the car seat. Normal everyday use caused the part to come off. I’m not sure at what time it happened or where the plastic cap is.

I was commuting home, about 30 minutes into the drive, all of the dashboard and radio went blank for a few seconds. It came back on and the break light, anit-collision, lane departure, lights were all flashing. It did this 2 more times in the over the next 5 minutes. I was concerned for my safety because I wasn't sure if my breaks and all the other things were working propoerly. I didn't know how fast I was going or if my car was going to stall on the highway. I see that a recall was issued by honda yesertday, not for my car model, but a similar issue (a software bug can cause the instrument panel and rear-view camera to go blank). It has not yet been inspected by a repair person. There wre not any warning lights prior to this happening.

The driver-side power sliding door latch, motor and cable system on my 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite failed. Honda performed Recall A88 (sliding door handle cable repair) in 2021. After this repair the door began intermittently failing to close fully and would close about 80% before the sensor triggered it to reopen. This continued until this week when the door suddenly stopped latching completely. The automatic door buttons no longer work and the door can only be moved manually. I believe my vehicle should also be included in recalls Z33 and O36 addressing sliding door latch failures affecting similar 2019 Odyssey vehicles. The failed components are available for inspection upon request. This defect creates a serious passenger safety hazard. Because the door will not latch, it opens while driving. The automatic function does not work and the door can be moved manually but will not latch. This creates risk of passenger ejection, especially children, and the possibility of the door opening during a crash. The vehicle is unsafe to operate. Yes. The failure was reproduced and confirmed by a Honda dealership that inspected and diagnosed the sliding door failure. The vehicle was inspected by a Honda dealership and I was charged a diagnostic fee. Honda refused recall or goodwill coverage because my VIN is not included. I request the repair be performed free under recalls Z33 and O36 and the diagnostic fee reimbursed. I am waiting for NHTSA inspection and request Honda be required to include my vehicle and repair it at no cost. Before total failure the door would close about 80% and automatically reopen. When it stopped working this week, the dashboard displayed a “Left Sliding Door Problem” warning and the vehicle produced continuous beeping while driving.

Reporting a failure of Safety Recall 23-046 / NHTSA Campaign 23V431000 on US vehicle. Post-recall 'remedy,' the vehicle suffers with the same MOST Network error and from severe parasitic battery drain as described in Honda Service Bulletin 23-061. This led to a total electrical failure and vehicle grounding in -24°C temperatures. This systemic MOST Bus network defect was previously the subject of the Conti v. American Honda (2:19-cv-02160) settlement. The vehicle is currently grounded at a dealership in Canada, and Honda Canada refuses to acknowledge the failure of the recall remedy or the resulting consequential damages (battery/starter failure). The computer system for the sliding doors and back hatch do not work properly. They will occasionally stop working or will stop mid-open or close. In addition, on three separate occasions the sensors did not work. One time the back hatch started to close while I was getting something out of the trunk. It did not sense by body and would not stop. I tried to stop it physically but the hatch continued to close. If I had not gotten out of the way, it would have crushed me. This happened to my husband on a separate occasion as well. He is athletic - [XXX} and [XXX] and was pushing up with all of his strength and the hatch continued to close on him before he had to jump out of the way. On the third occasion - the sliding side door started to close on my [XXX] as I was helping him into his car seat. This issue WILL KILL SOMEONE. The 2019 Honda Odysseys need to be recalled immediately. I alerted my local Honda service center (Don Jacobs in Lexington, Ky). I asked them to notify Honda and they told me they wouldn't do that unless more people had similar issues. They have attempted to fix the computer system on several occasions and always say the issue is fixed. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Service engine light has been lit up and it says “emissions system problem”. I have had it tested at the shop and it states code P219A (air-fuel ratio variation of cylinder [bank 1, rear bank) which I am told has a warranty extension from Honda for 10 years or 150k miles. I am told my VIN does not quality. If other 2019 Odyssey’s have the same issue and qualify, why doesn’t mine? The fuel injectors are clogging and failing way too early for 66k miles. This has been going on for around 6 months Safety concerns - Potential engine failure, reduced performance, and increased emissions

The problem with this vehicle is what I believe to be the transmission. When the car accelerates there is a delayed effect. The car jerks or unexpectedly accelerates while driving. today ( Dec 30, 2025) . my wife was driving my HONDA ODYSSEY on Highway 287 east NJ ( closed to livingston NJ ) . Here is the whole thing : The ODYSSEY suddenly stopped while my wife was downshifting. At that time, there was a car in front of our car at least 30 feet away. Once the car stopped almost completely. Some red warning letters were shown on the front dashboard. But since we all filled in in a big panic, no one saw what those words were. At that time, we felt the minivan vibrating. That is all we could recall since we were still trying to calm down. I am not sure it was still the same problem with the transmission we reported months ago. That is the whole store for today. And I also attached the last note I sent to you. Hi , To whom it might concern, To further the conversation, we had talked with the local Honda dealer, and they had test-driven it several times, but they insist there are no problems at all. They suggested that we replace the transmission fluid to improve the performance. We replaced it in the dealer store. But from the fall of this year, 2025. We feel the odyssey has the same problems again : 1. The vehicle struggles to accelerate quickly when the accelerator is pressed. 2. The vehicle accelerates, but there is a noticeable jerking sensation. 3. After pressing the accelerator, the engine RPM increases significantly (the engine noise also grows louder), but the car itself does not accelerate immediately. It takes several seconds before any noticeable increase in speed occurs. I checked online I noticed that in some cases, some odysseys stop on the highway and cause some injuries, which is terribly I also sent a note to Honda USA, and I got a reply, but it is useless. I do not know what I can do. I saw there was some recall (due to the transmission) on Othe dyssey touring model and elite models, but I wonder if there is any recall on my Odyssey EX-L model.

Our front camera on windshield failed at 96k miles, causing all lights to come on the dash. This resulted in all safety features failed and even basic cruise control doesnt work. Lots of Honda owners have same issues and the result is that it is a failed front camera which could cost around 2k to replace. There is no other way around it. It is found out that the camera could over heat leading to failure. This issue should be a recall because it is a safety concern. Could you please look into it? Thank you for your time.

The power sliding door on the driver’s side failed and will not open, even manually. The mechanism engages and stops after about an inch. This creates a significant safety risk because passengers cannot exit through the door in an emergency. This appears to be a widespread defect in 2018–2020 Honda Odyssey models. Repair cost is approximately $1,000. Honda needs to address this as a safety issue.

The power sliding door on the passenger side failed to operate properly. After receiving a recall repair related to the sliding door, the door stopped functioning correctly, directly after I picked it up—it would not close or latch fully. The door assembly and motor mechanism are still on the vehicle and available for inspection upon request. 4-5 months later the driver side (same door) that was malfunctioning now will not close, I had to bring the car in for the 3rd time and they said the Pinch Sensor is bad and want $812 dollars to fix it. I have had the car from 2019 with no issues at all with the door. They claim it has nothing to do with the recall. I filed a goodwill form and they denied the claim. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The sliding door will not close or latch securely, which poses a safety risk while driving, especially with passengers or children in the vehicle. The malfunction could cause the door to open unexpectedly or prevent the vehicle from being secured properly. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The issue was first noticed immediately after the dealer performed the recall repair. I had to return the next day, and the dealer temporarily restored operation. However, the same issue reoccurred about four months later, and the door is now inoperable again. Yes. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Honda dealer both during and after the recall repair. No police or insurance inspection has been conducted. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared. The problem first appeared immediately after the recall service was completed.

On 10/4/2025, I was driving with my family on a single lane road around 7:30pm. The van automatically went into neutral "N" gear and there was a message displayed on the dashboard saying it is not safe to drive and asking me to pull over when it is safe to do so. Pressing the gas pedal didn't do anything. Eventually the car came to a stop. The car wouldn't allow me to shift the gear to D or P. A cop who was driving by, saw my situation and nudged the car to the side of the road because it was blocking other traffic. I turned off the car and waited for 5 minutes. Turned the car back on. This time the message displayed as "Emission system problem". I was able to drive the van normally for another 30 miles to get back home. There was no obvious mechanical issues either before or after the car went to neutral. On Monday, I took the car to a honda dealership. While driving there, the car still had "Emission system problem" error. As soon as the person in the dealership turned on the car to get the mileage, the dashboard message went away. They did a diagnostic and said that they got a p0810 code. They reset the code and drove it for 10 miles trying to reproduce the issue. They couldn't reproduce it. I have driven the car for more than a week and I don't have the problem. However, a car automatically going into neutral while still driving on the road, seems to be a very dangerous issue. Please investigate this issue.
