I own a Prologue Touring on a lease and it has defective drive axles and every time I brought it to Honda Service Dept they said that Honda said that the will not repair or replace them. When turning the vehicle, a clicking noise can be heard, intermittently. I have reported this to the dealership, they tell me they heard nothing. The car now has 20,000 miles and will need a tire rotation soon, I will then report it again. It appears the cv joint is the problem with many of these 2024 Honda Prologues. I’ve read, that a broken cv joint could cause loss of power, broken brake lines, and loss of control of the car. This clicking occurs mostly on hard turns, which I avoid due to potential damage and loss of control. There are no warning lights seen for this problem.

My 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN [XXX]) produces a loud clicking/knocking noise from the front drive axles when turning, most noticeable during low-speed turns and when accelerating out of a turn. The noise began shortly after I acquired the vehicle at low mileage, consistent with the widely reported front CV joint/axle defect affecting 2024-2026 Prologues. This is a safety concern, not merely a noise. The defect involves internal drive-axle joint irregularities that can progressively worsen and impair propulsion, steering response, and drivability, with risk of eventual axle failure and loss of vehicle control while driving. Honda acknowledged this condition in a XXX dealer Tech Line but directed dealers not to repair it if no visible damage is found, leaving the defect unaddressed. Replacement axles reportedly fail again. No effective repair is currently available. I request that NHTSA investigate this drive-axle defect. The front-left CV joint/drive axle system malfunctioned. A loud repetitive clicking began during turns at approximately 1,050 miles. The vehicle and components are available for inspection.The condition creates safety concerns because the vehicle sometimes feels unstable while turning and the steering/drivability regularly feels abnormal. The tires have also developed uneven wear, raising concerns about reduced traction and handling.Separately, the vehicle has twice unexpectedly lurched forward from a complete stop. During both incidents, One-Pedal Driving and Auto Hold were active, the Auto Hold indicator was illuminated, and the brake pedal was not being pressed because Auto Hold was maintaining the stop. The vehicle suddenly moved forward without intentional accelerator input, as though the brakes released. I immediately applied the brake. During one incident, the vehicle struck another stopped vehicle, causing significant damage to that vehicle. No damage occurred to my Prologue. These incidents occurred both before and after the CV joint replacement.Hendrick Honda Bradenton confirmed the clicking condition after I brought the vehicle in for service in February 2025. A replacement CV joint arrived and was installed in approximately March 2025. The dealership informed me that replacing the CV joint did not correct the problem. The clicking continues. I was subsequently told I could drive the vehicle without limitations and that there was no safety risk.The vehicle has been inspected by Hendrick Honda Bradenton.Manufacturer, police, insurance inspection details to be added if applicable.There were no warning lamps or dashboard messages before the clicking condition or either unintended-forward-movement incident. The clicking first appeared at approximately 1,050 miles.

The car makes clicking sound when I make a left or a right turn. The sound is getting louder and more obvious. I took it Honda dealership twice and was told it doesn’t interfere with the driving then they wouldn’t fix it. They will investigate it further. It has been a year and the dealer or the manufacturer hasn’t said anything else.

Both left and right CV axles make loud clicking, grinding noise when turning. I reported this issue to Honda at around 6,500 miles. At first I was told we are waiting for a solution. Now the dealership's service manager says that there is no safety issue and that Honda has no intention of fixing the problem. The car currently has less than 16,000 miles and the clicking just keeps getting louder. It doesn't feel safe and at the very least it's annoying and unacceptable.

WHEN I USED ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, MY CAR TENDS TO LEAN SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT. IT VEERS OVER A BIT AND THEN JERKS TO THE LEFT. ALL IN ALL, I CAN'T USE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ON THE FREEWAY WITHOUT PAYING ATTENTION. IT IS GENUINELY DANGEROUS IF VEHICLES ARE DRIVING ALONGSIDE OR BEHIND ME. OTHER THING, WHEN I USED ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL FOR ALMOST ONE HOUR, THEN IT SUDDENLY BECOMES INACTIVE. IF I HAVE BEEN FOLLOW ANOTHER CAR, then what should happen when it suddenly becomes inactive??? I was very lucky at that time because there was no car in front of me. After 5,000 miles, my car began to make a slight noise on the right side when I slowed down in the city. Maybe it happened in the front drive axle assemblies or the front right low arm control.

I bought the vehicle with about 12k a few months go. While making a shap left turn I noticed some clicking. This happen seminary regularly. After doing some research I found out this was a common issue. Since, it didn't happen that often I ignored it. On Tuesday 6/30/2026 I took the vehicle in for a tire rotation and system update. The vehicle now has approximately twelve thousand miles. After the serviceI picked up my vehicle and went home. The next day after driving about a 75 miles, I noticed an audible clicking sound when I made a right turn. This sound happened about three more times that day. I took the vehicle back to a Honda dealer today and I was just notified that they are going to be replacing the front two control arms. The vehicle is still under warranty. I was told that this is a common issue by the honda dealer.And it should only take a few hours to fix panning my parts are received tomorrow morning. Other than the audible clicking sound, there were no other warning lights or indications. Based on the number of complaints that I read about online in honda's representatives, knowing that there is an issue, I think this should be further investigated in case there are other safety concerns.

Vehicle: 2024 Honda Prologue Touring AWD The vehicle has an ongoing clicking/noise issue coming from the driver-side front CV joint/axle area, especially during turns, acceleration, and low-speed maneuvering. The clicking noise appears to be progressively worsening and raises concerns about premature CV joint failure and potential drivetrain safety issues. The issue has persisted despite service visits and replacement attempts. Additionally, the vehicle intermittently displays a “Charge Port Door Open” warning message even when the charge port door is fully closed and secured. This false warning can prevent charging functions from operating normally and creates concerns about electrical system reliability and sensor malfunction. Both issues occur intermittently but repeatedly, affecting confidence in the vehicle’s safety and reliability. The ongoing driver-side CV joint clicking noise has caused concerns about potential drivetrain failure while operating the vehicle. Due to the worsening nature of the issue and repeated occurrence, I no longer feel fully safe or confident driving the vehicle, especially during turns and normal road operation. The false charge port warning may also interfere with the vehicle’s charging capability and normal operation.

The lane keep assist has never worked. It doesn't not keep you in the lane, it just chimes when you drift out of it. The bigger issue is the axles. I only owned the car for 1 month when the axles started loudly clicking with every turn. Honda is claiming this is just a cosmetic defect and it does not affect safety, but I don't believe that for a second. Clicking axles are NOT normal, and could only indicate signs of deterioration. Not only that, but myself and anyone else with this issue can feel that the drivability is affected. Turns and propulsion are slower as time goes on and the clicking gets louder. Honda knowingly continues to sell these cars for up to $60,000 and no longer offers a remedy for the faulty axles. They now plan to discontinue the vehicle and offer no further support for it, which is completely unnaceptable. This safety defect must be remedied as soon as possible. We should not wait until someone is dead.

Clicking noise coming from the front axles when turning either right or left. ADAS settings seem to be too sensitive. Car slams on the emergency brake when backing out of a parking spot with no obstacles in view. Forward warning system alerts occur even though there is nothing in front of the car.
