ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

My car showed charge battery and then it stalled on a busy highway. Had to charge battery and then the dash flashed D for drive and would not go into gear. Now I have no car because it seems to be the recall and there is no resolution at this time.

2017 Jaguar F-Pace Maumelle, AR

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The front drivers side headlamp malfunctioned after condensation entered the lamp via rain and then humidity. The issue first started April 12, 2026. I was leaving to go on a 260 miles drive when I pulled out of the drive way and I started getting a flickering "Dipped Beam Fault". It started flickering on and off as I was picking up speed to merge onto the interstate. I drove all those miles with my left thumb on the Menu OK button to clear it. Then it would come back on again as I was going through two major cities. It was very distracting and I kept glancing down every time it would light up. It did this for 5 hours. Also, my signal light was malfunctioning but I always tried to use it even so because of the heavy traffic. I called Jaguar when I got home and the women on the line said she had never heard of anything like this before and to take it to the dealership. So I took it to Jaguar and they did a complete inspection and told me the entire light component would have to be replaced because the seal is not good-even though the car has less then 100,000 miles on it, no reported accidents, and I was not informed by the dealer it has this problem when I purchased a few months ago.

2018 Jaguar F-Pace Southfield, MI Fire

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding the complete lack of support I have received from Jaguar Land Rover North America following a devastating incident involving my 2018 Jaguar F-PACE (VIN: [XXX]). In January 2024, while driving my vehicle, it suddenly caught fire. This fire was caused by an issue that was the subject of a recall. My vehicle was scheduled to be serviced for this very recall just days later, but it did not make it to the appointment because it was completely destroyed. The fire department responded to the scene, conducted an investigation, and filed an official report, which I am prepared to provide for your review. After the incident, I reached out to Jaguar Land Rover North America, expecting assistance in addressing a fire that was clearly caused by a known defect. Instead, I was met with outright dismissiveness and disrespect. Executive Judianne Di Leo, in particular, showed a complete lack of concern, scolding me for copying other JLR executives on emails, refusing to help, and failing to direct me to anyone who could. During multiple phone conversations, I explained the severity of the situation, including the fact that I have developed asthma, breathing issues, and severe anxiety attacks as a result of the explosion. She dismissed my concerns and even laughed at me during one call before telling me to "get a lawyer." INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2018 Jaguar F-Pace Abingdon, MD

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The first issue is the camshaft issue that had a recall on there and i was unaware because there wasn’t any notification sent by Jaguar or the nhtsa. When starting the vehicle it’s very hesitant and has a rough start & idle. Even once the vehicle starts it continuously has a rough feel as if the vehicle is putting or about to cut off. 2. The vehicle constantly loses power and sometimes won’t start. The battery has been replaced and the wires have been tested. When driving the entire vehicle starts to intermittently lose power and everything flickers on and off the entire time. 3. When searching my vehicle information it indicates there’s no open recalls however according to Jaguar corporate office there is an open recall but it’s not displayed on any search because the nhtsa hasn’t notified them.

2020 Jaguar F-Pace Sedona, AZ

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

1. ENTIRE engine. And yes (it’s been sitting since May 2024 at Scottsdale AZ JLR) 2. The day after I filled coolant for a 'low coolant' check engine light, my car smoked going uphill and nearly caught fire. I pulled over just in time, then had to walk 2 miles at night, in 30°F weather, without cell service, in the desert. This is a known issue affecting thousands of similar cars, with a Facebook group of nearly 19,000 members reporting the same risks—cars smoking or blowing up without warning, even when serviced per JLR’s recommendations. JLR is refusing to honor warranties, and some incidents have resulted in complete vehicle fires. My attorney advised me to report this and share the FB group for reference: [XXX] 3. Both have confirmed the engine is done and needs an entire replacement. 4. By JLR of Scottsdale yes. Also an independent mechanic in Sedona. Also by my attorney’s expert mechanic who had the oil sent to a lab and when he read the report stated, “the primary cause of engine failure most likely is blown head gasket. That caused coolant to get mixed into the oil, thereby destroying the engine.” 5. NO…which is what is MOST concerning. Just ‘low coolant’ as I mentioned above, which I added. No other check engine light has EVER ignited on the vehicle, which is concerning to me, indicating that no warning lights ever came on which would have indicated to me something needed servicing before the entire engine just blew up. 2020 Jaguar F-Pace Alpharetta, GA

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Battery is drained every time I get an emissions inspection. Next day I have to get it charged and take it the dealer for a "software hard-rest." Supposed to fix problem but every year I have the same issue. Never a SW fix available.

2018 Jaguar F-Pace Los Angeles, CA

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Car doors would not open from the outside of the vehicle and would not respond to the key fob’s signal either. The only way to get into my vehicle was to in climb through the trunk – which is a major safety concern. This first occurred on Janurary 13, 2023, and the dealership has been unable to resolve the issue since then, despite multiple attempts to do so.

2018 Jaguar F-Pace Abingdon, MD

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Vehicle will lose power intermittently while driving and sometimes when you try to start the vehicle it will be come dead. I’ve replaced the battery and the problem still occurs. A few nights in a row the alarm system would just beep for no reason . I changed the key fob battery and that didn’t help either. The engine makes a weird noise and constantly jerks.also the engine shakes extremely bad even though I’ve had a tune up, I’ve called Jaguar consumer services to find out about past recall details and was advised that information wasn’t available to them if the services were actually completed or just cleared out & I’d have to call the service center that completed the recall/repairs. It’s impossible to do so as I’m not the original owner. Jaguar advised they couldn’t help and this is very common for the power train in these vehicles to malfunction however the manufacturer isn’t being accountable. Also when I checked the recalls on NHTSA & Jaguar websites It indicated there’s no recalls, however when I called Jaguar consumer services I was advised of 2 recalls/campaigns that relate to the engine light. I’ve had a similar issue with a Range Rover that we checked for recalls and they were cleared from under the vin but the service wasn’t performed and when we experienced the issue we were charged on 2 occasions and once I discover the issue previously had a recall they refunded one of the issues, they’re all under the same umbrella and truly need to be investigated. I hope more people learn about reporting these issues to the nhtsa and other outlets instead of just reporting to Jaguar because they truly only want to get money out of the situation and don’t want to be accountable for the defects of there vehicles.

You could not read anything on my dash. It was all rainbow colors. I couldn’t tell how much gas I had or if my car was running hot. Basically everything on the dash that tells you how your car is running. We have the carefirst extended warranty and they would not cover it. It cost me out of pocket 2000 dollars to fix. I do have a picture but unfortunately I couldn’t send it

2018 Jaguar F-Pace Ponte Vedra Beac, FL

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The Check Engine light hasn't worked on our Jaguar F Pace since we bought it despite taking it multiple times to multiple dealerships (due to moving to three different cities). We were told by each dealership that it wasn't a issue unless it was flashing. The final straw was in Feb 2024 we were driving on a busy road (A1A) at 55 miles per hour and the car started jerking, making loud noises and then stopped. We had to have it towed and find transportation home. Thank goodness my husband was driving because I'm not sure how I would have handled it. The Fields Jaguar Land Rover of Jacksonville says that we must pay $20,000 to repair the entire engine and Jaguar North America won't do anything to help. Please help us and make sure this issue doesn't happen to anyone else. Defective indicator light like this is a major safety issue.

Korea has recalled this model of FPace because the timing chain is known to break with less than 50K miles. I have also read lots of posts on Jaguar forums about 2.0 Diesel FPaces being known to have timing chain failure which necessitated a complete engine replacement. I am terrified that my timing chain is going to come off and damage my engine every time I get in it.

2017 Jaguar F-Pace San Francisco, CA

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

This has happened to us 3 times where we would have between 17-25 miles left on gas in our car and the vehicle would completely shut down on us; once on the freeway and once on an extremely busy street. Once the car shuts down, we can turn it on in terms of lights, music etc. however the car will not come back on to drive. I’ve reported this to jaguar in San Francisco more than once and they keep saying it’s the gas. Our gas never reaches the red line.
