"My vehicle [XXX] is subject to open Safety Recall for a high-voltage battery fire risk. The manufacturer has issued a 'Do Not Drive' / 'Park Outside' advisory, deeming the vehicle unsafe for operation. The Safety Defect: The vehicle poses an immediate fire hazard while charging or driving due to battery failure. Manufacturer Failure: Despite acknowledging the safety defect, Stellantis (Jeep) and the authorized dealer (Jerry V's Windward Hawaii Kaneohe Jeep) have refused to provide a loaner vehicle or direct-bill rental coverage. They insist on out-of-pocket reimbursement only, which I cannot afford. Impact: I am left without safe transportation for a known life-safety defect. The manufacturer is failing to remedy the safety issue within a reasonable time as required by federal law, leaving me stranded and at risk. I own a 2024 Jeep with approximately 44,000 miles. The dealership diagnosed a failed engine motor mount and quoted approximately $1,200 for the repair. I am concerned because the motor mount failed at relatively low mileage without any accident, misuse, or other known cause. When I asked the dealership why it failed, I was told there was “no reason” and that “it just happens.” They were unable to provide any additional explanation. I also asked whether there were any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) related to this issue and whether the repair should be covered under my remaining powertrain warranty. I was told the motor mount was not covered, but I was not given a clear explanation or shown the specific warranty exclusion. My concern is that a failed motor mount can allow excessive engine movement, which may affect vehicle operation, damage other components, or create a safety risk if it occurs while driving. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be documented and investigated to determine whether this is a broader defect affecting similar vehicles.

While on the way to work going about 60 mph my car came to a complete stop with a semi behind me. By the grace of God I was able to start it in time. It happened atleast 9 other times since then. Jeep has been made aware and when I went for the recall I asked if that was a symptom they said no but this happens a lot. Didn’t put it on the report. I have kids and family members who have been in my car when it happens and refuses to get in. It just shuts down without warning and on the display shows P Instead of D flashing. I want to return this car and have been risking my life and my families life every single time I drive it.

My cat makes a strange loud noise when it starts up and begins driving. It also smells like smoke but none is seen. My daughter first noticed the smell and now ever since I got the engine recall done the sound is very loud and the smell of smoke persists. This is not normal or safe. The recalls being done are not fixing the problem and I would rather return a car that is not safe for my family! I cannot keep myself financially obligated to something that can kill myself or worse my children! Do something NOW!!!!

My jeep bricked and would would not move. I reset uconnect to get it to my house and had it towed to the dealership. They performed a temporary fix. However, since 10/2026 there has been no final fix. I’m not sure how safe I am to drive this car I spent $63,000 on or how long is reasonable for a fix.

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has been subject to four safety recalls in the ten months I have owned it, three involving vehicle fire risk: 56C/25V-527 (TPMS, completed), 68C/25V-741 (high-voltage battery cell separator damage/fire risk, completed), 78C/25V-766 (casting sand contamination of the engine), and 21D/26V-363 (electric hydraulic power steering pump overheating/fire risk). Recall 78C was announced November 6, 2025, warning that my engine may be contaminated with casting sand and may suffer catastrophic engine failure, a vehicle fire, or an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of propulsion. More than eight months later, no remedy has been performed on my vehicle and the recall remains open. Recall 21D is also open, with FCA instructing me to park outside and away from structures because the vehicle may catch fire even while parked with the ignition off. Under recall 68C I was previously instructed not to charge the vehicle.

"The vehicle suffered a sudden, catastrophic high-voltage powertrain failure while operating at highway speeds 300 miles away from home. The failure occurred immediately after the vehicle received the manufacturer's Safety Recall 68C / NHTSA Campaign Number 24V-814 software update. The software flash completely 'bricked' the high-voltage battery system, induced an immediate vehicle shutdown, and stripped all hybrid propulsion. This defect created an immediate and severe highway safety hazard, rendering the vehicle entirely inoperable on the spot. The manufacturer is currently replacing the defective hardware with an identical physical battery cell structure, which fails to permanently resolve the underlying thermal fire risk and recurring safety hazard."

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request?Multiple components across four separate manufacturer safety recalls: (1) the high-voltage battery (Recall 68C), currently being replaced by the dealer; (2) the Hybrid Control Processor / drive system (Recall A7C); (3) the electric hydraulic power steering pump (Recall 21D); and (4) the 2.0L engine (Recall 78C, status disputed — see below). The vehicle is currently at the authorized dealer and is available for inspection there. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk?Recalls 68C and 21D are both manufacturer-designated fire risks; 21D specifically carries an "URGENT: FIRE RISK WHEN PARKED" designation in NHTSA's own database. Recall A7C describes a loss of drive power without warning while driving, which the manufacturer states may cause a vehicle crash. I experienced a stalling event with the drive indicator blinking on 10/17/2025 (10,553 miles); UNKNOWN whether this was directly caused by the A7C defect, but the symptoms match the recall's description.Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The 68C battery failure has been confirmed by the dealer, who is currently performing a full battery replacement. UNKNOWN whether the 10/17/2025 stalling event was ever formally diagnosed as connected to Recall A7C; the dealer's repair order for that visit does not reference A7C or a root cause. UNKNOWN whether Recall 78C's applicability to my vehicle has been confirmed or denied by the dealer — see discrepancy described below.Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected and serviced multiple times by the manufacturer's authorized dealer. My vehicle is confirmed affected by three active NHTSA safety recalls, none of which currently have an available remedy: • NHTSA Recall 25V741000 – High Voltage Battery May Fail and Cause Fire. Issued October 2025. This is the third recall issued for this same underlying defect. I have been monitoring this recall since it was issued — now over eight months later — with no resolution. • NHTSA Recall 25V710 (Manufacturer Recall A7C) – Loss of Motive Power While Driving. Issued October 2025. An interim backend policy update was implemented but does not constitute a full fix. • NHTSA Recall 26V363000 – Power Steering Wiring May Catch Fire. Issued June 2026. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a fire even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition off. No remedy currently available. As a result of recalls 25V741000 and 26V363000, Chrysler/FCA has officially instructed me to park my vehicle outside and away from all structures at all times, and to refrain from charging my vehicle until a remedy is available. That charging restriction is a serious problem independent of the safety concerns. I specifically chose and leased the 4xe model for its plug-in hybrid capability and the fuel economy benefits it provides. I am now officially instructed not to charge it — meaning the vehicle cannot be used as intended or as it was represented to me at the time of lease signing. I have been unable to charge my vehicle for eight months, with no remedy available and no timeline provided. I do not feel safe driving this car. It can catch fire not only while parked, but also while driving. I am paying $500 per month for a vehicle that cannot operate as intended, poses active safety risks with no fix available, and has been in this condition for the majority of my lease term. The value I am receiving does not reflect the payments I am making.

I have had several instances of the infotainment system freezing up after starting the Jeep and putting it into reverse. When this happens, the radio sound is replaced with a buzzing noise and the rear camera image becomes frozen. None of the radio controls work and putting the vehicle into Park doesn't have any impact. The only resolution is to push and hold the power button until the system resets. This defeats the purpose of having a rear camera while reversing and puts the failure at the worst possible time (while backing up).

With the recent completion of recalls 68&78c , and a new HV battery, APPEARS TO ME, thatJeep has changed the software for the throttle response when in electric mode. The result creates a safety hazard as you lose pedal response and power when the battery reaches below 35% or about 9 miles remaining. On the highway the jeep loses all power and will not accelerate over 62 mph. And the same around town when you need that extra umph, the pedal becomes dead. More Scary when you’re on the highway!! The result? Since the electric power output is unavailable, you have to mash the pedal to the flow to kick it out of electric mode. But this is also unsafe as now you start the engine (often cold as I was running electric mode) and you smash the rpm’s over 6k to launch the gas engine (That can’t be good for the engine long term) . Before battery replacement and recall software updates, this process was very smooth and occurred with 5% or less battery life. This had occurred a few times and could probably reproduce it when this scenario is present

The issue involves the engine/powertrain system as identified in Recall 78C for my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The recall states there is a risk of catastrophic engine failure, vehicle fire, and unexpected loss of propulsion. At this time, the manufacturer has indicated that no repair remedy is available. This defect creates a safety concern because sudden loss of propulsion or engine failure could occur without warning while driving, increasing the risk of a crash, especially at highway speeds or in traffic. Prior to the recall, I experienced an incident where the vehicle began sputtering and would not respond properly to acceleration, significantly limiting vehicle movement. The issue was evaluated by a dealership, but the condition could not be replicated at that time. Based on the current recall involving engine contamination and propulsion failure, I am concerned that this prior incident may be related. The problem has not been resolved because there is currently no available repair. The manufacturer has acknowledged the defect through the recall but has not provided a timeline for a fix. I have contacted the manufacturer regarding this safety issue; however, my concerns about the risk associated with this defect have not been addressed, and no resolution has been provided. I am submitting this complaint to document the safety risk associated with this unresolved defect and the lack of an available remedy. Continued operation of the vehicle may pose a risk to occupants and others on the roadway due to the potential for sudden loss of propulsion or engine failure.

I am reporting a recurring structural failure of the Sky One-Touch power top assembly on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler. Since August 28, 2024, the vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative total of 62 business days across seven separate repair attempts. Safety Risk: The failure involves the tensioning system and internal springs of the power top. The defect has progressed to the point that visible daylight is present through the gaps between the roof assembly and the vehicle body while the top is fully closed. At highway speeds (55–70 mph), this gap causes the roof to lift and oscillate significantly. This creates a severe driver distraction and poses an unreasonable risk of the assembly further destabilizing or detaching from the vehicle while in motion, endangering occupants and trailing traffic. Dealer Misconduct & Repair History: During the third repair attempt, a service associate confirmed the loss of tension in the straps and springs. However, the technician subsequently refused to document these findings. The dealership omitted from their report to Stellantis that they performed unauthorized 'readjustments' and 'screwed the assembly back in' to temporarily mask the defect. This deceptive reporting prevents an accurate warranty history and deliberately avoids Lemon Law accountability. Despite these 'fixes,' the structural seal remains compromised. The vehicle is currently unsafe for highway operation."

In October, my son was driving our Jeep Wrangler 4xe when the vehicle suddenly lost power steering, acceleration, and braking while multiple warning lights were flashing on the dashboard. The vehicle became very difficult to control and created a serious safety concern. We have a video showing all of the warning lights flashing during this incident (it is not allowing me to upload a video below as the file is too large) The vehicle also currently has recalls and service campaigns, including Recall 78C related to a potential engine defect and HBMHCP related to the hybrid battery system. These issues make us feel the vehicle is unsafe and not reliable to drive. The recalls and issues have also affected our ability to use the vehicle as intended and have reduced the value of the vehicle. We are concerned that this vehicle may have a safety defect related to the engine or hybrid/electrical system that could cause loss of power, steering, braking, or vehicle control. We have been told there is currently no fix for these issues and that we should continue driving the vehicle, to park outside and not charge it. This makes us feel the vehicle may be unsafe and unreliable to drive. We are making monthly payments for a vehicle that does not behave as intended.

CAR WOULD NOT START AND WOULD NOT CHARGE. WHEN JEEP SHUT OFF IT WOULD SHOW THE RED PLUG SYMBOL. ONCE IT FINALLY STARTED, I NOTICED THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. IT FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL SO I COULDN'T COME TO A COMPLETE STOP FOR VERY LONG IF AT ALL. IF I DID COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND I WAS ON A HILL, IT WOULD START TO ROLL BACKWARDS. WHEN I WOULD ACCELORATE, IT FELT LIKE IT WAS STUCK IN 2ND GEAR, WHEN I WOULD TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE PEDAL IT WOULD CONTINUE TO ACCELORATE A FEW MPH AND THEN WOULD FINALLY SLOW DOWN. AT TIMES IT WOULD NOT WANT TO ACCELORATE, EVEN IF YOU DID HAVE YOUR FOOT ALL THE WAY DOWN. DID NOT WANT TO REVERSE AT TIMES. DIDNT FEEL LIKE IT WANTED TO GO. THE JEEP WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO DRIVE IN E-SAVE, OR ELECTRIC, EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERY WAS 100% CHARGED AND HAD A HALF TANK OF GAS. THE JEEP WOULD ONLY DRIVE IN HYBRID MODE. WE HAD THE JEEP AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR ONE OF THREE RECALLS THIS JEEP WAS APART OF. IRONICALLY MY JEEP DID NOT START HAVING ISSUES UNTIL THAT SPECIFIC RECALL WAS "FIXED". IF I WERE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS JEEP, NOT ONLY WOULD I CAUSE HARM TO OTHER DRIVERS AROUND ME, BUT MY CHILDREN AND MYSELF THAT DRIVE IN THIS VEHICLE ON A DAILY BASIS. IT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE FRIDAY THE 13TH WITH NO RESOLUTION.

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN [XXX]) that is subject to a federally mandated safety recall involving the high-voltage battery system. I attempted to have the recall performed by an authorized Jeep/Stellantis dealership, Carson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Carson City, Nevada. During communications with the dealership’s Service Manager, I was informed that the dealership would not perform the recall unless I signed dealership-specific authorization documents and agreed to their internal policies. The dealership further stated that if their evaluation determined the hybrid battery required replacement, they would retain (“quarantine”) the vehicle for an extended period and would not provide alternative transportation beyond a limited initial period, requiring me to pay for a rental thereafter. I objected to being required to pay transportation costs caused by a manufacturer safety recall and to signing waivers as a condition of recall service. I made clear that I was requesting that the recall be performed. The dealership then refused further service and removed me as a customer, stating that because I would not agree to their conditions they would not perform the recall and recommending I find another dealer. I subsequently sent written notice to Stellantis / Jeep corporate headquarters explaining the situation and requesting assistance to complete the recall. Stellantis did not respond to either of my written notices. As a result, my vehicle remains subject to an unresolved safety recall despite my good-faith efforts to have the recall performed by an authorized dealer. 1. Loss of motive power at freeway speeds (drops to ~40 mph) despite >40% battery charge 2. Uncommanded switching between electric and gas propulsion; driver cannot control the transition 3. Unintended acceleration in reverse / tire spin even after releasing accelerator 4. Steering wheel shaking at highway speeds → potential loss of control ***All of these items create a high risk of rear-end crash, parking-lot collision, and pedestrian/property hazard This is not “normal hybrid operation.” It is an intermittent propulsion control failure (loss of power + uncommanded acceleration behavior) that materially affects safe operation, so it should be handled as a warrantable defect and a safety defect, regardless of recall status. And because the vehicle cannot reliably maintain electric propulsion and instead experiences unpredictable loss of power and forced transitions to the gasoline engine—even with significant battery charge remaining—it is not functioning as a hybrid/electric vehicle as advertised. I paid an additional premium for hybrid/electric capability, but due to these propulsion-control failures the vehicle cannot be safely or consistently operated in electric mode and therefore is not providing the advertised hybrid/electric functionality.

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe with approximately 14,000 miles. The vehicle is subject to multiple safety recalls involving fire risk and potential catastrophic failure. Recall 1 involves the high-voltage battery. The manufacturer instructed owners not to charge the vehicle and not to park near structures due to risk of fire. The recall notice states that not charging may lower the risk of fire. Recall 2 indicates that manufacturing contamination (dust/debris) may cause fire or catastrophic engine failure. No remedy is currently available and no repair timeline has been provided. To perform the battery recall, the dealership advised that the vehicle must be charged. However, the dealer indicated limited charger availability and no loaner vehicles, requiring the vehicle to be left for multiple days. Recall 1 has been repaired, but it took multiple attempts because the dealership was not properly equipped to handle it. Recall 2 remains outstanding. Due to manufacturer safety instructions and unresolved recall conditions, the vehicle cannot be safely or normally operated as intended. There is now a pattern of recalls involving acknowledged safety risks with potential fire and catastrophic failure. I sought manufacturer-sponsored arbitration regarding these safety concerns. Relief was denied on the basis that risk of catastrophic loss does not constitute a defect unless a failure event occurs... I am submitting this complaint due to concerns regarding vehicle safety, operability, and the absence of a timely remedy.
