Certain ACDelco Advantage wheel hub spindles, manufactured by Bearing Technologies Ltd., contain a defect which may affect vehicle safety. The spindles have studs with oversized protruding shoulders that may make assembling the part difficult with certain aftermarket brake rotors (original equipment rotors are not affected). If this difficulty in assembly is not heeded, the defect may cause a vibration of the vehicle or wobbling of the wheel on which the hub is installed. If a driver does not stop the vehicle, this may lead to a loss of vehicle control. Affected parts are ACDelco Advantage wheel hub spindles, Part No. 19360602 (BR930676K), sold between November 21, 2016 and October 2, 2017. Parts manufactured with these studs have any of the following LOT codes etched on the face of the spindle: FH38, FJ38, FN38, FP38, FS38, FV38, FY38, FZ38, and HC38. On certain vehicles registered and operated in areas where road salt is used on the roadways during winter months for extended time periods (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland-Labrador), corrosion may occur underneath the fuel tank mounting reinforcement brackets at the weld seam. This could result in a small hole to form in the fuel tank resulting in a fuel vapour leak or fuel leak. A malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may illuminate, and/or fuel odour or liquid fuel may be observed. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, repair or replace the fuel tank. The contact owned a 2010 Lincoln MKX. The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH and crossing an intersection, another vehicle crashed into the passenger’s side of the vehicle and pushed the vehicle into oncoming traffic. As a result, another vehicle crashed into the driver’s side of the vehicle. The contact was knocked out unconscious. The contact was later informed that the driver’s side air bag had exploded and projected sharp fragments that caused injuries to her body. The contact was transported to the hospital with the assistance of emergency units. The contact was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma on both sides of the brain, six broken ribs, bruised sternum, subdural hematoma on the right breast, knee injuries, neck stenosis, bruises on the ankle, and on the entire right side of the body. Additionally, the contact sustain brain hemorrhage that required brain surgery. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot where it was totaled. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000. The contact stated that the passenger side airbags were replaced. While waiting for the parts to replace the driver side airbags, the accident occurred and caused harm to the contact.

Additionally, while the brake pedal was depressed; the contact heard a hissing sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with brake booster failure. The contact was informed that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

I am satisfied with the help that the customer service assisted me with and that was getting my service moved up to September 26th from the original date of October 30th. But I am not satisfied with the remedy. I have received several written letters from Lincoln that go into detail of the recall on my car and as well they say and in BIG RED LETTERS ..DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR UNTIL REPAIRS ARE DONE. WELL, I should say that you see my 2010 Lincoln Mkx is my and only vehicle I own I can not just park it up and forget I have a life and a job because of no fault of my own that my one and only car urgently is needing repair to the factory installed air bags. Therefore I ask Lincoln to assist me with a rental until my car had been repaired. I do not feel safe DRIVING MY CAR.Letter's I have on hand from Lincoln plainly stating DO NOT DRIVE. I am upset Lincoln ortrays they care so much to bombard me with all the recall letters and such but pretty much told me NO WE DONT DO RENTAL CARS So what I am to do??? I don't have rental coverage on my insurance. I couldn't afford it. So what choice do I have??? If I do die from their faulty air bags imploding on me atleast make sure my children and grandchildren knew I begged for a rental but Lincoln couldn't back me with that. I guess making luxury car's for so many years has not left them with much profit Seeing as how in a life or death situation brought on by their mistake they leave their customers to chance it because it cost to much for rentals to ensure their customers are kept safe until their car is serviced and safe to drive. They have no compassion for people is how I am feeling about this whole situation. Only covering themselves legally in the cheapest fix possible to avoid legal issues. Guess Lincoln owners are just numbers and dollar signs and not mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, aunt or uncles or grandparents that are loved and would be missed severely in the event of their death by a recalled air bag.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the fuel tank seam weld had corroded, and the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the vehicle was previously repaired under the NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V712000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the corrosion preventative solution was applied to the fuel tank, but the failure occurred. The contact drove the vehicle home and examined under the vehicle and notice that the fuel tank was felling due to corrosion under the vehicle. O.C. Welch Ford-Lincoln of Hardeeville, SC 29927 has not completed the safety recall on the airbags for the 2010 Ford Lincoln MKX. After trying to get them to repair the airbags for over a year, they finally fixed the passenger side airbag. They originally stated they had the parts to fix driver's side, but told us they were on back-order. They said they would get in touch with us once the parts came in. It has been over 5 months and we have not heard anything from them in regards to fixing the driver's side airbag.

The contact owned a 2010 Lincoln MKX. The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH and crossing an intersection, another vehicle crashed into the passenger’s side of the vehicle and pushed the vehicle into oncoming traffic. As a result, another vehicle crashed into the driver’s side of the vehicle. The contact was knocked out unconscious. The contact was later informed that the driver’s side air bag had exploded and projected sharp fragments that caused injuries to her body. The contact was transported to the hospital with the assistance of emergency units. The contact was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma on both sides of the brain, six broken ribs, bruised sternum, subdural hematoma on the right breast, knee injuries, neck stenosis, bruises on the ankle, and on the entire right side of the body. Additionally, the contact sustain brain hemorrhage that required brain surgery. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot where it was totaled. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000. The contact stated that the passenger side airbags were replaced. While waiting for the parts to replace the driver side airbags, the accident occurred and caused harm to the contact.

I was driving my 2010 Lincoln MKX in heavy traffic when the signal light turned red. When I pushed the brake to stop it was very stiff and I almost hit another vehicle. I could have been seriously injured if I had it another car because there is another safety recall on this vehicle relating to the driver airbag spewing shrapnel in a front end collision. I have had the recall notice regarding the air bag for almost a year already. Ford motor company deemed my vehicle safe to drive with this airbag issue. As it turns out, the brake booster bladder has a tear in it. I purchased the vehicle in 2020 and never was never sent a recall notice on the brake booster even though Ford Motor Company knew about it. According to what I have read online, Ford Motor decided that the recall was only good for a specific amount of time. How can that possibly be the case. This is a safety issue that should be covered for the life of the vehicle. Someone needs to do something about this before someone is seriously injured or killed.

Then I would press the seat cooler and it malfunctioned and I had a second degree burn on my lower back. Then the check engine light came on and it started to overheat. I pulled over turned off the ignition and the car was still running. That happened twice my mechanic would come turn the car off even by disconnecting the battery the car was still on somehow he had to disconnect another part for car to turn off. He told me not move it anymore. 15 to 20 minutes later the car was on fire and the fire department came and turned it off. I bought the car on 4/24/2021 and it was on fire on 05/27/2021.
