My ABS alarms constantly as I drive. This issue started in September 2024. I cannot use my truck as desired because of constant alarming making traveling, as the truck was purchased for, impossible to enjoy for us. I have contacted my dealership approximately twenty times about repairing. I have been given multiple answers but have received no help. I have contacted customer care, customer service departments at Stellantis/Mopar five times and basically have been given the same answer, we are working on a repair. Please get Stellantis/Mopar/Ram to help customers. Manufacturer Recall Number-C4B NHTSA Recall Number-24V-896 Recall Status Recall: Incomplete, remedy not yet available

ABS and Traction control lights keep coming on intermittently. I know this is a known problem and a recall has already been issued. I feel like this is too important of an issue for Ram to be allowed 18 months and still no remedy. I could understand if this was a part availability wait but to not have a remedy after 18 months should require some sort of punishment for them or something should be done to make them fix this issue. There were previous models that didn't have this issue and there are replacement HCU modules out there for a 2011 - 2016 as well as 2019 and newer models that are good parts not under this recall, why can't the remedy be to use the parts used on these models to fix this issue. That is something that shouldn't take 18 months for a company to resolve. It appears they do not really plan to resolve this issues from what dealers are telling us. That is uncalled for.

I had to drive my truck yesterday and this ABS issue is causing my cruise to suddenly stop working, the service engine light to come on and STELLANTIS WILL NOT ISSUE A RENTAL OR PAY FOR THE REMEDY THAT WILL FIX IT PER THEM. They are saying that I need to pay for this and then they MAY or MAY NOT reimburse me. At what point will you start pressing this issue being a SAFETY advocate and US business that is paid to make sure these vehicle manufacturers are fixing these issues? US Customer Care [XXX] > Fri, Mar 20, 5:15 PM to me Hi [XXX] , This is Darell, one of the supervisors in the Stellantis Recall Department. I attempted to reach you by phone, but your voicemail inbox appears to be full, so I am sending this email instead. Regarding your concern about Safety Recall C4B: Hydraulic Control Unit, please note the following: At this time, the official Stellantis recall remedy is not yet available, even though the recall is currently in Phase 4 of 5 toward final remedy release. We also do not have a timeframe for when the final remedy will be issued. However, there is a suitable alternative repair option using parts associated with the recall remedy for the 2017–2018 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis (DD) and Ram 4500 <10K lb. Cab Chassis (DF). Below are the part numbers that may be presented to your dealership. They will be able to determine the appropriate next steps based on the vehicle's condition. There is still no remedy to this recall and my truck is affected - I have been driving with NO ABS AND NO TRACTION CONTROL for almost 4 YEARS. This has also deactivated my cruise control. This is unacceptable and compromises me and my families safety. This is not a question of if it is going to happen, but when. My vehicle isn't under the category of "may be susceptible to failure" it has failed and I have permanently lost those BASIC and CRITICAL safety features. It is simply a matter of WHEN the lack of those features will cause an accident. There must be something done. . I have spoken with Mopar and several dealerships and nobody has given me any solution other than to say they will call me when a remedy is available. That is NOT ENOUGH. Recall language for C4B "The brake hydraulic control unit (HCU) on your vehicle [1] may be susceptible to failure or malfunction which may result in a reduction or change of Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) /Electronic Stability Control (ESC) /Traction Control performance. We have been waiting over a year now for the below to be remedied. Our ABS light goes off constantly and when it does, it causes cruise to stop working. There is a notification alarm (ding) that goes off and on while driving the truck. We pull a 41ft 5th Wheel and we were told it was okay to pull, however, we have now been advised that it's not a good idea to pull. How is this fair when we bought this truck for the intention of pulling our 5th wheel and now it's not safe. Therefore, our truck can't even be used for the intended purpose safely. I've looked into Nebraska Lemon Law and I feel that we are WAY over the point of having to wait for this correction to be sent to a dealer so that we can get it fixed. I would appreciate a part being sent ASAP so we can use our truck for the intended purpose of hauling our 5th Wheel or buy this truck back and give me a new one. I'm tired of not being able to use our truck to pull our 5th wheel (We don't have another vehicle that can pull our camper) and I'm sick and tired of driving the truck and having the ABS going on and off and on and off and not being able to use cruise. Not to mention the sole fact that it really isn't that safe if a crash can happen. 2018 RAM 3500 VIN: [XXX] Recall data refreshed on Mar 16,2026 1 Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN Nov 27,2024 Manufacturer Recall Number: C4B NHTSA Recall Number: 24V-896 Recall Status: Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Summary Some (2017-2018 MY Ram xxx) vehicles may have been built with a brake hydraulic control unit ("HCU") that is susceptible to failure or malfunction which may result in a reduction or change of Anti-Lock Brake System ("ABS")/Electronic Stability Control ("ESC") /Traction Control performance. This recall notice, was first identified in September or October, with the Official Communication issued in November of 2024. How long am I, or anyone expected to endure the nuances of this recall. We are well beyond 6 months now with no remedy, and it does not appear as if RAM\Stellantis is concerned with a fix. They've sent a disclaimer notice, but what is the resolve to a vehicle I purchased and continue to make a monthly payment towards - but you are basically telling me don't drive. Alternatively, dealership service advisors call me every six weeks to come in for a diagnostic ( not free of course ) only to say well it is related to the HCU so there isn't anything we can do right now. When\If I drive my vehicle I have to listen to a buckle your seatbelt type of alarm the entire drive. Its not only mind numbing its traumatic. Will Stellantis or Ram be forced to compensate me money I've paid monthly for a vehicle I technically can't use or shouldn't use? My complaint is to determine when this problem will be fixed and what is the NHTSA is doing to ensure my rights are protected as a consumer and what they are doing to push this manufacturer to fix this safety related issue.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the "fix" performed on my vehicle related to the V06 Drag Link Recall. The fix, which involved checking the torque settings and welding the locknuts to the adjustment sleeve, has caused significant issues with the alignment of my vehicle. As a result, my truck is unable to be aligned, creating unsafe driving conditions. Vehicles with improper alignment present a serious safety risk, including uneven tire wear, reduced handling capabilities, and compromised braking performance. These dangers not only affect the stability of the vehicle but also pose a threat to the safety of the driver, passengers, and others on the road. The current situation with my vehicle’s alignment, as a result of this inadequate recall fix, is unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately. I have already attempted to resolve this issue by working directly with a dealership, but after an initial conversation where they assured me the issue would be taken care of, I was subsequently ignored and "ghosted." This lack of follow-through is deeply disappointing, especially considering the severity of the situation. It is my understanding that the fix originally performed on my vehicle was not the permanent solution. The real fix, as I have learned through discussions with other affected customers and further research, involves the installation of a new drag link, followed by a full alignment, at no cost to the customer. I would also like to emphasize that, as evidenced on various online forums, other customers who have encountered similar issues with the V06 Drag Link Recall have had their concerns addressed properly. In those cases, Ram has taken full accountability for the problem and provided the permanent fix as promised. I expect consistent treatment and the same resolution for my vehicle, as I should not be treated any differently than those who have had their issues rectified.

Failed abs module and/or hcu. Truck is available for inspection. Loss of abs and traction control causes loss of control of truck in wet conditions when stopping or cornering. Hcu was replaced by dealer 10/12/21 @ 20,109 miles due to code c0020. (Abs pump control motor general failure) Same issue/code @ occured again @ 47,000 miles. Have not been back to dealer as the truck is out of warranty and the cost is almost $2000 for the repair. Service Abs/traction control/ electronic brake warning lights constantly go on and off and eventually stay on. This causes abs and traction control to be unreliable and is extremely dangerous on wet roads and also dangerous to other vehicles on the road.

Lights and chimes constantly signaling trouble with ABS/Traction Control system. OBD 2 indicates ABS Module failure but have read online it could also be HCU pump, a connection problem or a combination of issues. At this point the warning lights are on constantly while driving. The ABS warning system is constantly going off with dash warning lights and alarm, it turns off cruse control when this happens. The truck is unsafe with out the abs working and dangerous because it will turn off the cruse when the error is displayed causing unexpended deacceleration. This happens when ever the veh is driven over and over. I took it to the local ram dealership. They told me that they can not figure out what the issue is......They told me I have to leave the truck at the dealership for a week at my expense (gas and insurance and they would not be responsible for damage) so they could drive it around and "test" it they were very unhelpful, they said they never ran across this issue prior. They were very stubborn on the actual issue and would not answer questions In the mean time the dealer attempted to sell me an oil change and oil filter change for close to $1000.00 that they were very insistent on. (with less that 3000 miles on the current oil and filter change) so this was unneeded. They were using the fault to upsell service and no attempt to correct it.

The hydraulic control unit (HCU) and the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module on our truck has been triggering the warning light and bell notification for almost a year & we have yet to be able to get this repaired as the part is supposedly back-ordered (for a year?!?!?) We pull a fifth wheel with this vehicle and any sort of braking component issue is a recipe for a potentially disastrous incident on the road. We try not to drive the vehicle, but sometimes that isn't always feasible or practical. We are at a loss at this point.

The Anti-Lock Brake & Electronic Braking System error caused the internal Trailer Brake system to shut off trailer brakes just like it shuts off the cruise control when warnings come up on the dashboard. The incident happened Aug 28, 2023 while following my son and my wife in a vehicle ahead of me. I had to change lanes to try to avoid something that suddenly came across in front of my vehicle. I applied the brakes and then the trailer acted like it didn't have any brakes fell over & was totaled. If this was in traffic someone could have been killed. The "Check Anti-Lock Brake System" & "Check Electronic Brake System" warnings started coming up intermittently as I drove my RAM 3500 Diesel truck starting sometime around July 2023. I drove to the local RAM dealer and told them about the problem. They acted like they had never heard of this problem and proceeded to check the error code and then stated they had never heard of this error before. They said they would check with RAM engineering on what needed to be done. They then said there were other similar RAM trucks with the same issue & that the parts were on back order. I finally got an appointment for the dealer to check my truck after sending an email to the Service Supervisor. After they checked my truck on August 16, 2023 they said that my truck needed a new Anti-Lock Brake Control Module. I had seen that many others on the internet blogs had stated that both the Anti-Lock Brake Control Module and the Hydraulic Control Module (HCM) needed to be replaced. I was then told by the service person that the Anti-Lock Brake Control Module would not be available for months (until sometime in December) and the Hydraulic Control Module (HCU) had no date of availability. They also checked with the RAM technicians at the dealership about safety driving the truck and towing a trailer until the part came in. They told me that only the Anti-Lock Brakes may not work so it would be safe to continue to drive it and tow a trailer.

UConnect 8.4 Screen Delamination - The integrated radio/communication/vehicle functions module screen is delaminating on a vast number of vehicles. The repair according to RAM dealerships is a complete replacement of the screen and the controller at a cost of nearly $2000 per vehicle. While initially most believe this to be a radio issue the systems are integrated to multiple functions of the vehicle including: front and rear cameras, front and rear parking sensors, ride height controls, HVAC controls, seating controls, and a number of other systems. It also includes access to a number of phone systems including emergency calling. Due to the integrated nature of this equipment a major recall should be conducted on affected systems and also a forced reimbursement to owners of vehicles that have had to pay out of pocket for repairs or diagnostics. In addition, the delamination seems to be causing a leaking substance to drip down into other controls such as the Exhaust Brake, Trailer Brake Controls, and other physical buttons. It is my belief this is becoming a safety issue as the delamination is causing phantom key presses on various systems including setting volume of audio at 100% randomly.
