The contact owns a 2024 Acura Integra. The contact stated that after pulling into a self-service car wash vacuum bay, the contact started drying the vehicle. The contact dried both the passenger-side front and rear doors, the trunk and the driver-side rear door. While drying the driver-side front door, the vehicle suddenly moved unintendedly about 15 ft. The contact grabbed the door frame and was eventually able to bring the vehicle to a stop, preventing a crash or injury. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was initially informed that a manufacturer field technician would need to inspect the vehicle; however, the contact was later informed that the manufacturer had sent instructions on how to service the vehicle, which the contact deemed unsatisfactory due to the safety risk. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle had previously rolled after being parked and turned off, with the parking brake engaged. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the TPMS reading had failed to display, the collision mitigation braking system had engaged erroneously, and the windows had rolled up and down unintendedly. The contact also stated driving at 5 MPH in a parking lot, an abnormal booming sound emanated from the passenger's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and filed a case. The failure mileage was approximately 4,558.
NHTSA complaint #11748770 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
I was on my way home from work this morning and all warning lights (electric power steering, ABS, collision control warning, brake system sensors, etc.) randomly came on and the steering became very still. When parking, I wasn’t able to turn the car off without pressing the “push to start” button multiple times.

I own a 2023 Acura Integra, and the sound system suddenly stopped working — there’s no audio from the speakers, even though the display and radio functions appear normal. I’ve seen multiple videos and posts online from other Acura owners experiencing the exact same issue, which suggests this may be a widespread electrical or audio system defect. All fuses and battery checks came back fine. This may indicate a deeper issue with the car’s electrical system or amplifier that’s not being properly addressed by the manufacturer. I believe this issue should be investigated for a potential recall or service bulletin, as many 2023 Acura Integra owners appear to be affected. Also I am unable to attach videos of what’s going on with the car due to it being photos only.

The brakes squeak and squeal loudly when the car is cold and reversing. I took it to the acura dealership that I bought it from to get it looked at. They were able to reproduce the sound and said the sound was coming from the vsa (vehicle stability assist) . They compared it to a "known good vehicle" and said it made the same noise. Essentially the dealer said all cars of similar make and model have this issue and make this noise so no repairs were done or necessary. See attached document

When driving it’s as if the steering gets stuck. The vehicle will start to pull from the left to right as if bouncing from one side of the lane to the other. All lane keep assist and road departure features are turned off. Began around 2k miles and currently has 5500. Causing me to over correct and make jerky motions to keep in lane. Sometimes feels like it doesn’t want to correct at all. Noticing it at low and high speeds, constantly fighting a car that feels like it is in control.

I have the Integra Aspec CVT model. It's been 8 months since I bought it, it's close to 10k miles and it was a week ago that it suddenly started to turn off completely as if it were like hard reset. It has already happened to me 7 times. Sometimes he doesn't want to turn back on quick so I have to wait couples minutes before trying to turn it on again and on the screen I get the alert to turn it on with the remote key but my car doesn't have that option. I don't get any error alert in the tachometer, only that suddenly everything is turned off, both the engine and the electrical components.

For the 6th time, my 2023 Acura Integra A-Spec with the 6spd manual transmission has completely shut off. While the immediate thought might be that I stalled or the auto stop/start engaged, that's not the case here. The car completely shuts off. Almost like a hard reset, the engine dies, and the electrical system shuts down. In several of the cases, some features like lights, still work. But in others, everything dies. Locks, radio, wipers, lights. It takes awhile to restart the car. This happens when I come to a complete stop and then when I put my foot on the clutch and on the gas. This has happened in warm and cold Temps (ranging from 25°F to 75°F ). In 3 of the cases, the auto stop/start (acura calls it idle stop or something) was disengaged/turned off because I was in sport mode. Plenty of gas in the tank. The car is brand new, not even 4 months old with 14000 miles. Each incident has nearly resulted in an accident.

I AM A 78 YEAR OLD WOMAN DEALING WITH MALES AT ACURA/HONDA WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT RUN AROUND AND STALL. I HAVE HAD TWO TERRIBLE INCIDENTS OF UNINTENDED ACCELERATION, THE FIRST ONE AT 70 MILES AN HOUR ON A CROWDED FREEWAY, THE CAR JUMPED TO 80 MPH AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE, I TOOK OUT 200' OF SHRUBS ALONG THE FREEWAY & WAS LUCKY I COULD GET OFF THE FREEWAY AND STANDING ON THE BRAKE THE CAR FINALLY WENT TO IDLE. THE AUTO SHOP CLEANED THE THROTTLE. 3 WEEKS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN AT 50 MPH, IN BOTH CASES I WAS LUCKY TO SURVIVE. TOWED THE CAR TO F AIRFIELD HONDA, WHERE THEY HAD HONDA INSPECTORS CHECK OUT THE CAR. THEY USED THE SAME EXCUSE AS TOYOTA SEVERAL YEARS AGO, THE FLOOR MATS WERE UNDER THE GAS PEDDLE. THE CAR WAS NEVER DRIVEN WITH THE MATS UNDER THE GAS PEDDLE, IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT AT THE DEALER, IT WOULD BE HARD TO DO WITH THE STEM OF THE GAS PEDDLE GOING UP INTO CHASSIS, AND NOT DOWN INTO FLOOR. THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG, AND WOULD NOT TELL ME WHAT, IF ANYTHING, THEY DID TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I SPENT ONE MONTH TRYING TO GET RESULTS OR RESOLUTION. I WOULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNDER THESE CONDITIONS, NOR HAVE ANYONE I KNEW DRIVE IT.

I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE DOWN THE ROAD SUDDENLY THE CAR JUST QUIT WHILE I WAS IN MY FOURTH GEAR. AFTER HAVING IT TOWED TO MY HOUSE AND A TECHNICIAN LOOKING AT MY SITUATION I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE IGNITION SWITCH AND FROM HONDA ACURA DEALER SHIP.
NHTSA complaint #10785792 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
WHEN THE WEATHER IS IN THE HIGH 80S OR 90S, MY CAR WON'T START. IT TURNS OVER OKAY; THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM/BATTERY IS FINE. AFTER ABOUT 20-30 MINUTES OR LONGER, THE CAR WILL FINALLY START BUT IS NOT NECESSARILY OKAY FOR TRIPS. AT THE FIRST STOP THE SAME PROBLEM MAY OR MAY NOT OCCUR AGAIN. WHEN THE TEMP GOES DOWN IN THE FALL, THE CAR IS FINE AND RUNS BEAUTIFULLY. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR ONLY BUT HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. I THINK THE ISSUE IS CAUSED BY SOMETHING IN THE FUEL INTAKE SYSTEM BUT HAVE NO EVIDENCE TO PROVE THIS. FOR ABOUT FOUR MONTHS OF THE YEAR I AM FORCED TO DO ALL MY SHOPPING IN THE VERY EARLY MORNING OR AT NIGHT AND STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM SOMETIMES THEN.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1997 ACURA INTEGRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS INOPERATIVE. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,779 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
NHTSA complaint #10419500 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
IN AUGUST MY 1994 ACURA INTEGRA LS STOPPED RUNNING. THE MOTOR FIRED BUT WOULD NOT RUN. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, IT RE STARTED. A WEEK LATER WHILE DRIVING THE MOTOR SUDDENLY QUIT. IT HAPPENED A THIRD TIME AND NEVER STARTED AGAIN. I NEEDED A TOW TRUCK. I DISCOVERED IT WAS A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TRAGEDY WAITING TO HAPPEN FOR INTEGRA OWNERS. I WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE NEW IGNITION SWITCH THAT I BOUGHT. MY CAR WAS A TRAGEDY WAITING TO HAPPEN. SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER ESPECIALLY WHILE DRIVING IS A HAZARD. I HAVE THE OLD SWITCH.
NHTSA complaint #10359385 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.

(1) I WAS DRIVING HOME AND MY 95' ACURA INTEGRA 4 DOOR GSR DIED ON THE HIGHWAY (2)IF I TRIED TO START THE CAR, IT WOULD START THEN DIE AS I LET THE KEY GO. I FOUND THAT IF I HELD THE KEY CLOSE TO III THEN THE ENGINE WOULD STAY ON. I GOT HOME AND TOOK APART THE IGNITION HARNESS AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A SPOT WHERE THE CONTACT POINT WAS PITTED. THAT'S WHEN I FIGURED THE IGNITION HARNESS SWITCHING MECHANISM (BY THE KEY IGNITION CYLINDER) WAS NOT GETTING GOOD CONTACT. (3) I TRIED TO SAND OFF THE PITTED PART AND PUT A LAYER OF SOLDER OVER IT, BUT IT STILL DIES AFTER A WHILE. THEN I WOULD HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN. I'M TEMPORARY DOING THIS TILL I CAN AFFORD A NEW IGNITION HARNESS.

WHEN I PURCHASED THE 1992 ACURA INTEGRA THE SALESMAN TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD TO WORK ON MY A.C. BECAUSE IT WAS NOT WORKING. WHEN I DID TAKE THE CAR HOME TWO WEEKS LATER MY AIR WAS NOT BLOWING COLD SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THE SHOP AND THEY PUT CO2 IN IT. EVERY MONTH I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR BACK SO THEY COULD WORK ON THE AIR. FINALLY IN JUNE THE NEW MECHANIC TIGHTENED UP A HOSE AND THE AIR WORKED FINE FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS. THEN IN THE FIRST WEEK OF AUG. IT STARTED ACTING UP AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE SHOP AND THE MECHANIC DID A DIAGNOSTIC ON THE CAR AND SAID THAT HE NEEDED TO DO SOME REWIRING. I TOLD I COULDN'T HAVE IT DONE THEN BUT I WOULD BRING THE CAR BACK. ON MONDAY OF THE FOLLOWING WEEK MY CAR WOULDN'T START. ON AUG. 17, I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO FIRST CLASS AUTO SALES WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR SO THEY COULD FIND THE PROBLEM. I ALSO REMINDED THEM THAT THE AIR WASN'T WORKING AGAIN AND TO FIX IT WHILE THE CAR WAS THERE. WHEN I PICKED THE CAR UP ON THE 19 THE MECHANIC INFORMED ME THAT HE HAD PUT IN THE NEW BATTERY THAT I PURCHASED AND HE HAD ALSO DONE SOME REWIRING SO THAT THE AIR WOULD WORK. MY CHILDREN AND I WERE ON OUR WAY HOME AND I DECIDED TO STOP AT THE GROCERY STORE TO PICK UP SOME SPAGHETTI SAUCE. WE WERE NOT IN THE STORE 5 MINUTES AND WHEN I CAME OUT OF THE STORE THE CAR WAS FILLED WITH SMOKE ON THE INSIDE. WHEN I GOT CLOSER TO THE CAR I SAW THAT THE DOORS WERE NOW UNLOCKED AND THE SEATBELT WAS MOVING BACK AND FORTH. I HAD MY CHILDREN STAND BACK AND I POPPED THE HOOD BUT THERE WAS NOTHING UNDER THERE THEN I HEARD A CRACKILING SOUND AND I SAW THE SPARKS COMING FORM UNDER THE DASH. I RAN INSIDE THE STORE TO ASK FOR A FIRE EXTINGUISHER. BY THE TIME WE RETURNED OUTSIDE SOMEONE HAD PUT THE FIRE OUT AND A POLICE OFFICER WAS THERE AND HE CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THEY FILLED OUT A REPORT.

MY COMPLAINT IS SIMILAR TO THE COMPLAINT NO.10036644. I HAVE AN ACURA INTEGRA 1992 COUPE. I HAD MY CAR JERKING ON FREEWAYS & NOT IDLING RIGHT. I ASKED ACURA FOR THE UPDATE INFO FOR DISTRIBUTOR PROBLEM INTEGRA HAD & THEY SAID THAT MY CAR HAS CROSSED 6 YEARS & HENCE I HAVE TO PAY TO REPLACE THE DISTRIBUTOR. I AM STILL CONFUSED ON WHY A COMPANY, AFTER ACCEPTING THAT A PROBLEM EXISTS IN ONE OF ITS COMPONENTS CHARGES CUSTOMERS FOR REPLACING IT. I BOUGHT THIS FROM SOMEONE & HE HAD NEVER DONE THIS UPDATE FOR HIS CAR.
NHTSA complaint #10047467 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
PROBLEMS WITH INTERIOR LIGHTS, CASSETTE PLAYER AND DOOR LOCKS.*MR THERE WERE LEAKS FROM ONE OF THE WINDOWS, THERE WAS RUST ON THE OUTSIDE DOOR (BY THE KEY HOLE) AND ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. OCCASIONALLY WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PUT INTO REVERSE, IT MADE A HARSH NOISE. *PH
NHTSA complaint #10038164 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM"IGNITION: DISTRIBUTOR- THE DISTRIBUTOR HOUSING CONTAINING THE BEARING IS MAKING A NOISE AND IS TOTALLY WORN OUT. WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER -ACURA OF SERRAMONTE ABOUT IT WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE THE TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP. THE CAR STOPS ON IDLING AND JERKS ON THE FREEWAY. THERE WAS A PRODUCT UPDATE IN 1996 VALID FOR 6 YEARS/90,000 MILE. MY CAR IS 71000 MILES BUT MORE THEN 6 YEARS SINCE THEN. SO HAVE TO END UP SPENDING $300+ JUST FOR REPLACING A DEFECTIVE PART THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE HAD A LIFETIME RECALL ON. ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHY THERE SHOULD BE A TIME RESTRICTION ON FIXING THIS DEFECTIVE COMPONENT. DEALER TELLS ME 4 UT OF 5 CARS HAVE HAD TO REPLACE IT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED AND SO FEEL HELPLESS THAT THE PERSON WHO OWNED IT BEFORE DID NOT GET IT FIXED WHILE IT WAS UNDER AN UPDATE NOTIFICATION. *NLM
