The contact owns a 2024 Acura Integra. The contact stated that after pulling into a self-service car wash vacuum bay, the contact started drying the vehicle. The contact dried both the passenger-side front and rear doors, the trunk and the driver-side rear door. While drying the driver-side front door, the vehicle suddenly moved unintendedly about 15 ft. The contact grabbed the door frame and was eventually able to bring the vehicle to a stop, preventing a crash or injury. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was initially informed that a manufacturer field technician would need to inspect the vehicle; however, the contact was later informed that the manufacturer had sent instructions on how to service the vehicle, which the contact deemed unsatisfactory due to the safety risk. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle had previously rolled after being parked and turned off, with the parking brake engaged. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the TPMS reading had failed to display, the collision mitigation braking system had engaged erroneously, and the windows had rolled up and down unintendedly. The contact also stated driving at 5 MPH in a parking lot, an abnormal booming sound emanated from the passenger's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and filed a case. The failure mileage was approximately 4,558.

2023 Acura Integra Perris, CA

ENGINE

Active but slow leak of oil coming from the front of the valve cover of the motor. The leak is leaking from the top down the block and eventually gets burned off or leaks onto the engine mount. The vehicle will be taken to the dealership for this issue and hope to get it looked at soon as the car has 27000 miles. From my understanding from the forums this is a common issue on this motor which needs new new valve cover gaskets to resolve the issue.

ENGINE

While driving a 2023 Acura Integra with a manual transmission, and when performing a three-point turn on a residential street with a 25 MPH speed limit, I noticed the manual gearbox shifter was very stiff and difficult to shift the vehicle into a gear, despite having the clutch pedal pressed completely down. No warning lights, messages or other alerts were displayed on the dashboard. No other vehicle symptoms were noted prior to this incident. This incident posed a potential safety risk, as the vehicle was stuck in the middle of the road in direct line of traffic and needed to be pushed out of the road to avoid potential collision with other moving vehicles. The vehicle was inspected by both a dealership and the manufacturer, who both stated based on a computer scan of the vehicle, which revealed Engine Code P0219 Engine Over-Speed Condition, caused physical damage to the transmission as a result of an improper downshift. Details indicated the car was allegedly downshifted improperly at a speed of 67 MPH with an RPM of 5,551. I am unsure how this issue could have happened, as I have never abused the transmission, and have always driven the car in a responsible manner in which it is intended to be driven. The vehicle has always been serviced by an Acura dealership and have never had any prior issues. The vehicle is also still new and under warranty, however I was told they will not be covering this incident under warranty as they claim there was alleged physical damage. Neither the dealership nor the manufacturer could provide me with a time stamp or other data to substantiate their claim of physical damage, so I am unable to isolate the alleged incident to a specific date or time of occurrence. I do not see any open recalls relating to the transmission or gearbox, however I do see one open recall (VJV 2023-25) which says the steering gearbox worm wheel may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause the wheel to swell when hot or damp. Please investigate.

2023 Acura Integra Fall River, MA

ENGINE

The steering malfunctions consistently while driving and occasionally while parked. The wheel forces itself to jerk back and forth every few seconds and sticks as it does so causing the driver to fight the opposite direction. When parked the wheel still does the same thing after driving. In addition to this issue, the engine auto start/stop feature has to be disabled every drive because when stopped, the engine does not fully restart causing the car to false start and stop again, therefore potentially causing an accident when entering moving traffic.

I have the Integra Aspec CVT model. It's been 8 months since I bought it, it's close to 10k miles and it was a week ago that it suddenly started to turn off completely as if it were like hard reset. It has already happened to me 7 times. Sometimes he doesn't want to turn back on quick so I have to wait couples minutes before trying to turn it on again and on the screen I get the alert to turn it on with the remote key but my car doesn't have that option. I don't get any error alert in the tachometer, only that suddenly everything is turned off, both the engine and the electrical components.

2023 Acura Integra Macomb, MI

ENGINE

For the 6th time, my 2023 Acura Integra A-Spec with the 6spd manual transmission has completely shut off. While the immediate thought might be that I stalled or the auto stop/start engaged, that's not the case here. The car completely shuts off. Almost like a hard reset, the engine dies, and the electrical system shuts down. In several of the cases, some features like lights, still work. But in others, everything dies. Locks, radio, wipers, lights. It takes awhile to restart the car. This happens when I come to a complete stop and then when I put my foot on the clutch and on the gas. This has happened in warm and cold Temps (ranging from 25°F to 75°F ). In 3 of the cases, the auto stop/start (acura calls it idle stop or something) was disengaged/turned off because I was in sport mode. Plenty of gas in the tank. The car is brand new, not even 4 months old with 14000 miles. Each incident has nearly resulted in an accident.

I AM A 78 YEAR OLD WOMAN DEALING WITH MALES AT ACURA/HONDA WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT RUN AROUND AND STALL. I HAVE HAD TWO TERRIBLE INCIDENTS OF UNINTENDED ACCELERATION, THE FIRST ONE AT 70 MILES AN HOUR ON A CROWDED FREEWAY, THE CAR JUMPED TO 80 MPH AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE, I TOOK OUT 200' OF SHRUBS ALONG THE FREEWAY & WAS LUCKY I COULD GET OFF THE FREEWAY AND STANDING ON THE BRAKE THE CAR FINALLY WENT TO IDLE. THE AUTO SHOP CLEANED THE THROTTLE. 3 WEEKS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN AT 50 MPH, IN BOTH CASES I WAS LUCKY TO SURVIVE. TOWED THE CAR TO F AIRFIELD HONDA, WHERE THEY HAD HONDA INSPECTORS CHECK OUT THE CAR. THEY USED THE SAME EXCUSE AS TOYOTA SEVERAL YEARS AGO, THE FLOOR MATS WERE UNDER THE GAS PEDDLE. THE CAR WAS NEVER DRIVEN WITH THE MATS UNDER THE GAS PEDDLE, IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT AT THE DEALER, IT WOULD BE HARD TO DO WITH THE STEM OF THE GAS PEDDLE GOING UP INTO CHASSIS, AND NOT DOWN INTO FLOOR. THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG, AND WOULD NOT TELL ME WHAT, IF ANYTHING, THEY DID TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I SPENT ONE MONTH TRYING TO GET RESULTS OR RESOLUTION. I WOULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNDER THESE CONDITIONS, NOR HAVE ANYONE I KNEW DRIVE IT.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

THE PLASTIC COMPONENT(S) ON THE RADIATOR BROKE ALLOWING COOLANT TO EXIT THE COOLANT SYSTEM AND SPLASH UPON THE MOTOR AND OTHER ENGINE COMPONENTS. THE ACURA DEALER (IN OMAHA NEBRASKA; 84TH STREET) WAS QUERIED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE INDICATED THEY HAD REPLACED THREE RADIATORS IN THE PREVIOUS FEW WEEKS. THEY STATED THIS APPEARED TO BE A HIGHER THAN NORMAL FAILURE RATE. THE INDIVIDUAL PROVIDED ME ACURA'S REGIONAL NUMBER AND I CALLED TO ADVISE THEM OF THIS PROBLEM. THE PERSON FROM ACURA REGIONAL HEADQUARTERS ADVISED ME THIS WAS NOT A PROBLEM OTHERWISE THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN ACTION PREVIOUSLY.
