2012 Chevrolet Camaro San Antonio, TX

SUSPENSION

I purchased this vehicle July of this year and just drove it to find it pulled extremely to the right. I was told it was an alignment issue which they attempted to fix which seems successful in July coming off the offramp after first time on the highway and applying the brakes, the car shook side side, and then up and down. It felt like the car was coming apart. I again notified the dealer. I purchased it from and was reminded it was bought as his, but that they would do what they can to fix it so that I would feel safe driving it. Also upon purchase when it got dark, I could not see even the beam of the headlights that they promised to replace and have not as yet.

SUSPENSION

Vehicle Shipped in Unsafe Driving Condition I purchased this vehicle from Cars2us with a clear understanding that the vehicle was in good working order. I paid $500 for shipping along with $3,000 cash down. I purchased it from out of state so I had to have the vehicle shipped to my work site. When I received the vehicle off the trailer, it was borderline underivable due to the rack and pinion and power steering system being faulty. I immediately contacted the dealer and he agreed to have it repaired and advised me to “take it to a mechanic you trust”! I did so and the mechanic called me to inform me that the manager of the dealership tried to convince him to put junkyard parts on the vehicle to fix it. The mechanic was infuriated and insulted by this and advised me to contact an attorney. I paid the full amount for the repairs totaling over $2,000 because he did a job he was asked to do and rightly deserved to be paid for doing so. The mechanic and I tried multiple times to contact him for repayment and he has not paid nor responded. I have all of our conversations and will happily attach them to this email. I’m furious because the vehicle was knowingly shipped to me in an extremely dangerous condition and I was forced to drive it to my house 13 miles away as well as the mechanic shop another 6 miles. I emailed the Attorney General of Virginia and reported the incident. It’s my goal to protect other customers from experiencing this kind of behavior and treatment. If you could please help me out in any way it would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards.

2020 Chevrolet Camaro Fresno, OH Crash

SUSPENSION

The camber plate nut fell off inside the shock causing me to lose control and go through a field. The camber plate is the only thing holding the strut to the vehicle and should have had a locknut from the factory as it's nothing more than a ball joint. It is available to inspect. It caused me to lose all control when it separated. I own a garage and confirmed failure myself. No i called Chevy about it and even asked if they wanted to send a factory rep out to look at it. I was told no and the only way they might be able to do anything is if i take it to the dealer for repairs. It was giving a small clunk at times that i thought was normal characteristics of the aggressive suspension. I do have pictures showing the failure as well if you would like them.

THE CAR VIBRATES WHEN DRIVING AT SPEEDS OVER 30 MPH. IT FEELS LIKE YOU ARE DRIVING OVER RUMBLE STRIP. IT DOES THIS EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT NOW. IT ALSO SHIFTS HARD AS IT CHANGES GEARS. I HAD TO HAVE A NEW REAR BOOT PUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. ALL OF THE GREASE IN THE REAR WHEEL BOOT WAS ALL OVER MY WHEEL. THERE IS A ROAR IN THE REAR END WHEN YOU FIRST PULL OUT ONTO THE ROAD. IT FEELS LIKE IT IS IN THE REAR AXLE.

AS I SEARCH THE WEB FOR MY HVAC PROBLEM AND LEARN THERE IS A DEFECT WITH HVAC BLEN DOORS. EITHER YOUR VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY COLD OR HOT OR POSSIBLY HOT ON ONE SIDE AND COLD ON THE OTHER. THE UNCONTROLLED HEAT CAN PUT YOU TO SLEEP BEHIND THE WHEEL ON DRIVING TRIP. I BELIEVE GM IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT REFUSE TO RECALL. THIS NOT A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR PART. THERE OUR THOUSANDS OF CAMARO OWNERS WITH THIS PROBLEM AND THE DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING UP TO 3000.00 TO REPAIR. HOPE YOU CAN HELP!!!!!!

CAR IS SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING ON ROADWAYS. CAR NOT SHUTTING OFF WHEN PUSHING THE IGNITION BUTTON. CAR NOT STARTING AT HOME OR WHILE IN THE COMMUNITY. ALL OF THIS LEAVING ME STRANDED FOR PERIODS OF TIME OR HOLDING UP TRAFFIC. NO CODES BEING THROWN TO DASH WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. THE CHASSIS BOUNCES AND STUDDERS AS IF SOMTHING IS ABOUT TO CEESE UP AND THE DRIVE SHAFT CLUMKS. STABILITRAK LIGHT HAS BEEN FIXED SEVERAL TIMES, TRACTION CONTROL COMES ON AS WELL. NUMEROUS TIMES NOT JUST ONCE

2015 Chevrolet Camaro at 320 miles Seattle, WA Crash

SUSPENSION

I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 20 MPH AROUND A TRAFFIC CIRCLE IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA, WHEN, AFTER TURNING RIGHT, THEN LEFT, THEN RIGHT AROUND THE TRAFFIC CIRCLE, THE BACK END SLID OUT AND THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL SLAMMED SIDEWAYS AGAINST A CURB. THE WHEEL WAS INSTANTLY CRACKED, THE WHEEL AND SPINDLE BENT. "SERVICE STABILITRACK" INSTANTLY CAME ON THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER, AND ALL THREE STABILITY INDICATOR LIGHTS CAME ON. THE P-ZERO NERO TIRES ON THIS CAR ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR WET ROADS IN THE CITY. THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 50 DEGREES. THE CAMARO AND THESE TIRES MAKE IT UNSAFE, AND THE CAR SHOULD COME EQUIPPED DEFAULT WITH ALL-SEASON TIRES, NOT RACING Z-RATED SUMMER ONLY TIRES. REPAIR COST IS $1,500 AND THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS "PERFORMANCE" CAR.

ON 3/27/15, CAR MADE KNOCKING NOISE ON STOPPING & TAKE OFF THE CAR WAS DRIVING WITH GM TECH BRIAN WHO HEARD THE SAME NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF CAR. PER REPAIR ORDER IT STATED THAT THE NOISE WAS NOT ABLE TO BE DUPLICATED, HOWEVER WAS ADVISED BY TECHS THAT ALL SUSPENSION WAS TAKEN DOWN & PLACED BACK TOGETHER, SWOOSHING NOISE THAT I HEAR WHEN BACKING UP BOTH WERE NOT ABLE TO BE DUPLICATED PER MAC HAIK. 2013 Chevrolet Camaro at 15,000 miles Deer Park, TX Crash

I PURCHASE A NEW 2013 CAMARO FOR SON EARLIER THIS YEAR. THIS CAR HAS FEWER THAN 15K MILES AND EARLIER THIS MONTH MY SON WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN IN A NEIGHBORHOOD AND ON THE STEERING WHEEL RETURNING BACK TO CENTER, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED THEN HE HEARD A SNAP WHICH RESULTED IN HIM HITTING THE CURB. THE SNAPPING SOUND WAS PROBABLY THE SOUND OF THE RIGHT CONTROL ARM SNAPPING IN HALF AND THE BENDING OF THE TIE ROD. I FILED A CLAIM WITH GM AND THEY DECLINED ALL CLAIMS EVEN WITH THE MANY RECALLS ON GM CARS INCLUDING THE CAMARO HAVING STEERING WHEEL LOCKING ISSUES. I COULD HAVE LOST MY SON AND I'M SIMPLY ASKING THAT GM COVER THE REPAIRS. THIS HAS BEEN VERY DISAPPOINTING AND STRESSFULLY ON MY FAMILY.
