The vehicle has suffered a total failure of the passenger seat jumper wiring harness, which has completely deactivated the entire Supplemental Restraint System (SRS / Airbag system) and triggered the airbag warning light. This is a known manufacturing defect covered under an active Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). A certified Chrysler dealership previously performed a paid repair for this exact TSB defect, meaning the replacement safety component has failed prematurely. The vehicle is currently an active safety hazard on the road, as no airbags will deploy in an accident. Chrysler Corporate has refused to remedy this failed safety system, leaving the vehicle completely unprotected.

My air bag light has been flickering on and off for quite some time now. I’ve taken it to a professional mechanic as well as Gerber and they have both fixed the issue by unplugging and replugging the harness underneath the passenger seat. I was told this issue with this type of Chrysler has been brought by the shop numerous times and I may have missed a recall repair on this vehicle. The problem seems to be with the electrical system the TIPM is malfunctioning. Wipers will stop midstream or run constantly, any time power is engaged in the car the wipers will begin to work whether the switch is on or off and regardless if the key is even in the ignition or not. Airbag lights are lit up, blinker switch will engage wipers to run.
