Driver & passenger door windows on many 2010-2017 Dodge Challengers activate repeatedly on their own during driving and after ignition is turned off causing the battery to completely drain overnight & sometimes after only one or two hours after the ignition is turned off. There was a TSB#23-039-11. This TSB does not apply to my 2013 Challenger. Parts are extremely expensive and the car leaves me stranded if parked only a couple of hours. During driving the cycling down and up causes danger as it appears the door wants to open on its own and making us have to pull over several times until we figured out it was doing it on its own as if it was haunted. No warning lights on my 2013 Challenger. Mechanics checked it after having 2 brand new batteries drain overnight. Batteries are approximately $200.00. Dealer will only say the door latch mechanism needs replacing at approximately $480.00. Parts cost approx. $190.00.

The malfunction led to an uncontrolled thermal event within the battery system, rapidly escalating into a fire that engulfed the vehicle. Further analysis is underway to determine the specific nature of the battery failure and contributing factors.NO WARNING ADVISORY ON THE PRELIMINARY OCCURRENCE IT ESCALATED FROM FLASHING ON AND OFF LIGHTS AND STEREO TO A STIFF STEERING WHEEL AND VEHICLE COMPLETE SHUTDOWN AND RAPIDLY SMOKE COMING FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE TRUNK AND FIRE STARTED CONSUMING THE REAR END OF THE TRUNK AND VEHICLE. I purchased this vehicle from Vroom, who is also my lender under United Auto Credit. The car was sold with a washed title and undisclosed prior structural and mechanical damage. I have documentation confirming the vehicle had serious pre-existing issues and should never have been sold as a clean-title car. The differential has failed three times in under 6 months, and I’ve experienced full drivetrain failure following multiple service visits to Dodge. I had requested inspection of the transmission, but after every visit, the issues worsened. The vehicle is currently available for inspection. The car exhibits violent vibrations, power loss, and unpredictable handling, making it unsafe to drive at highway speeds. The differential is on the verge of catastrophic failure again. These issues risk loss of vehicle control, wheel lock up, and potential collisions. Has the issue been confirmed by a dealer or service center? Yes. Dodge dealerships have confirmed repeated differential failure and ongoing drivetrain problems. Independent shops have also verified signs of prior impact and poor repairs. Has the vehicle been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance? It has been brought to authorized Dodge service centers at least six times and is the subject of an open Dodge customer care case (7+ months). No police or insurance inspections at this time. This vehicle was fraudulently sold with hidden damage and has presented major, repeated safety hazards. I am asking the NHTSA to investigate not only this vehicle, but the broader pattern of dangerous sales by Vroom/United Auto Credit and Dodge, including title washing and stalling tactics to run out factory warranties before resolution.

2023 Dodge Challenger was parked and not running. Opened driver's door and windshield cracked from pillar on passenger side. No prior stone chips, no prior cracks. Car had less than 3000 miles when crack occurred. Appears that windshield was not properly bonded to the vehicle. Paid Safelite $348.03 for windshield replacement.

Windshield cracking for no apparent reason. I do not know the underlying cause however there are many people reporting this issue on social media sites. Some suspect welding/bonding issues resulting in flex causing the crack under stress. My car was sitting in the garage when the windshield cracked from the A-pillar inward. All videos, pictures submitted from others show the crack in a similar fashion. Driver/Passenger side from the A-Pillar. Some have provided pictures/videos of brand new cars sitting on the lot with the crack. Others are on their 2nd and 3rd windshield replacement.

Since the day of delivery, the 2018 Dodge Challenger I purchased from Carvana has been non-operational due to a dead battery and significant engine problems. Despite multiple attempts to start the vehicle, it required towing to the dealer for repairs. Additionally, the car was delivered with illegally dark tint on all windows, including the front windshield, which is not compliant with California state regulations. These issues have rendered the vehicle unusable and have not been adequately addressed, posing safety and compliance concerns

This is an issue with Chassis rigidity and a manufacturing defect. Causing windshield breakage due to torsional forces, chassis load and unload. Here's my case: 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T - 5.7 / 6 speed manual. This car was purchased new [XXX], it's now broken two OEM Mopar windshields. First occurrence was [XXX] at 2,321 miles. This was warrantied by Dodge and replaced with a new Mopar windshield, [XXX]. Second occurrence was [XXX] at 6,446 miles. At this point in time, my car remains unfixed, undrivable, and has been undrivable since [XXX]. The selling Dealer, Airport Jeep in Platte City, Missouri, has been "working" with a local frame shop to obtain an appointment for a laser frame check. At this point, we've been without the usability of a car, yet still paying for it, for over 30 days. Please see attached images regarding my case, alone. With that being said, I'm also attaching owner commentary and images of other 2023 Challengers where this has occurred as well. The above, being said. This is clearly a chassis build / bonding issue at time of manufacturing, allowing these vehicles to flex and cause chassis popping / noises and windshield breakage. Payout from progressive for those extensive repairs. And airbags never deployed. This seems highly alarming to me. The abrupt stop, or the sudden heavy damage to front of vehicle seems like it would activate airbags?? Safety issue??

The rear trunk lid struts fail to keep the trunk open causing the trunk to close without warning and has hit me in the head several times while unloading groceries. It is also very hard to open as the trunk is quite heavy. This was noted to the dealer during the warranty period but they said they were unable to duplicate it. The struts need replaced. I feel this should be a recall since it has occurred since the vehicle was new. Someone could be severely hurt or become trapped in the trunk. The struts are under designed for the weight of the trunk.

Upon inspection, the contact noticed that the subframe bolt had snapped off. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that they were unable to assist.
