Recalls on the 2019 Ford Fiesta
A complaint is one owner's allegation. A recall is the point at which
the manufacturer or a regulator agreed the defect is real and dangerous
enough to fix for free — however old the car is.

I have been made aware of this issue in writing by Ford in October 2025. I took my car in for the service to Ford in Palatka, Florida. I was advised that needed parts had not been authorized by the Ford. I was advised that the needed parts are in stock, but to get the problem fixed I would have to pay out of pocket. They advised me to just wait. It should be noted that my reverse camera is out and I am in need of this repair as it is a safety hazard. My camera blinks on and off (sometimes). And other times I turns on, and the image is upside down. I have waited on this recall since October 2025 and we are approaching a year with no resolve. The local dealerships advise me that they can fix the problem, just I will have to pay out of pocket. I do not believe this to be a fair practice. I am in need of help with this matter. Recall remedy unavailable..I am filing a complaint regarding NHTSA Recall Campaign Number 25V695 (Ford Recall 25SA9) for my 2019 Ford Fiesta. The manufacturer has not provided a timely remedy, leaving me with a blank and distorted rearview camera, which severely compromises my rear visibility and creates an immediate safety hazard while backing up. Additionally, screen sometimes fail to load, screen loads and don't function for a long period. Also, experienced a safety lockout over a year ago, where screen displayed an error indicating could not read key and car could not start because the error disabled the car. The issue was not key battery but was some malfunction that was costly to have fixed.

Per my phone call today(2026/05/13)to [XXX] @ [XXX] (PhoneReference #XXX): I have written an explanation which is too lengthy to fit herein. I shall email it to [XXX] AFTER filing this form and receiving a Written Form Reference #. I shall supply the Written Form Reference # in the email. Summary of 5 above specific requests: 1. Car did not accelerate, engine semi-stalled (although did not stop running completely). Could be engine, transmission, electrical, cruise-control, other, or some combination of two or more of the foregoing. Dealer may still have the car, or it may have been sold/disposed-of to a party unknown to me. 2. Fortunately, since I did NOT test pulling out into traffic, and waited till highway was mostly clear prior to testing acceleration, no one was at risk. However, the problem is that there ARE instances where risk of serious-injury/death is real. 3. No. Salesperson later reported that Dealer felt that there was no problem. Consequently, I believe the Dealer was unable to reproduce the problem. 4. Not to my knowledge. 5. No. P.S. I am submitting this complaint regarding Ford safety recall 25SA9 for my 2019 Ford Fiesta involving the rearview camera. This recall has remained unresolved for over 14 months. I opened a case with Ford and was instructed to continue waiting, but no repair has been completed and no meaningful resolution has been provided. Because this is a safety recall, 1 am concerned that the remedy has not been made available within a reasonable period of time. In addition to the safety concern, this ongoing delay has caused financial hardship. I use this vehicle for Turo rentals and have been unable to continue renting it out due to the open recall, which has negatively affected my income and safety. I am requesting review of Ford's delay in providing a remedy and any assistance available due to the extended unresolved status of this safety recall.
