Notice condensation building up in driver side headlamp, then I received LED lights failure warning ⚠️ as i was driving. Now i driver side signal is not working some times and now i have about 7 warnings on dash from headlamp failure to collision sensor going off. I know since car is a 2021 and i'm the second owner it's out of warranty, but i speculate that this problem probably known now look at other reports and it only had 35K miles when I purchased it.

I'm reporting moisture in the driver headlight. I noticed a little moisture when I purchased it in October 25(used). Of course the warranty is up and the extended warranty doesn't cover replacement of assembly. Which is very pricey over $2000. I took it to the dealership to get it looked at but at the time it was still working but flickering alot, now it's completely out. I asked was it cracked and the service guy said no, this is something that we see sometimes. I didn't have any warning lights on prior to it going completely out. Now I can't get an expectation tag because of the headlight assembly needing to be changed. This is something Genesis must look into or offer warranties that cover expensive parts like that. It's definitely a hazard when both lights aren't working properly. I'm torn between trying to get it fixed or just letting the vehicle be repossessed and start over with something with a better warranty. I current have 6 alerts on dashboard since the light is completely out.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
When the adaptive cruise control system is engaged while wearing prescription eyeglasses, either my regular clear lenses or prescription polarized sunglasses , a persistent audible and visual warning sounds approximately every two (2) minutes creating a distraction. The warning states "Keep your eyes on the road and drive safely. Driver assistance system is limited."

I was driving a 2025 Genesis GV80 loaner vehicle at approximately 65-70mph when I began to hear a loud noise and feel shaking consistent with a tire issue. A tire pressure warning appeared on the dashboard. I immediately slowed down and attempted to safely move to the shoulder of the road. While trying to pull over, the vehicles lane keeping assist appeared to resist my steering input, making it difficult to move fully onto the shoulder. I was focused on safely exiting the roadway die to what I believed was failing tire. Trying to reach the shoulder area, the tire suddenly blew out. The vehicle lost control, spun, and we were involved in a head-on collision with a semi-truck. My family and I are fortunate to be alive. I sustained whiplash and ongoing neck pain; my husband suffered a hand injury that is not healing. My daughter had abrasion on her chin but recently has faded away. Since the accident, I have experienced significant anxiety while driving, especially related to vehicle noises and highway conditions. My children faced a traumatic event and still continue to bring up the day of the accident or show signs of it affecting them. My concern is that the lane assist system may have interfered with my ability to safely pull over during an emergency situation involving a tire failure. We are uncertain what caused the initial tire failure. The situation I was in could pose a safety risk to other drivers if the system resists drivers input during critical moments.

Genesis Connected Services is not functional on vehicle since December 23 2025. This module controls Emergency Services and communications, Navigation and vehicle safety features. Genesis has been contacted more than 5 times already and no solution or fixes have been done as of todays date.

The contact owns a 2025 Genesis GV80. The contact stated that while accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle was pulling to the right. The contact depressed the brake pedal and was able to turn back in the intended direction. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was advised that the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the failure was a recurring failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

While the driving assist systems may be optional functions, the lack of headlight and blinker are, in my opinion, safety issues. Certainly, the car would not pass a safety inspection in the state of Virginia and, as a result, I would not be able to register the vehicle. The Forward Attention Warning system has many false readings (sun, glasses, looking to the right of the wheel at the other autos visible out of the right side of the windshield). When activating the FAW alarm it immediately shuts off lane assistance and adaptive causing rapid deceleration. 3 times when it did this it slows so rapidly that cars behind have to swerve to miss making contact. One time a slight contact was made. There is not a way to disengage it, even when following genesis instructions to "turn it off" it remains active. Gensis acknowledged complaints and looking at online forums shows this to be a growing safety problem. There needs to be a disable function for some amount of time, FAW is going to get someone hurt or worse.

The contact owns a 2025 Genesis GV80. The contact stated while driving at various speeds on the highway, the vehicle jerked to the left or to the right, which required the contact to hold the steering wheel tightly for safety. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,300.

This vehicle had been in the shop for over a month due to the emergency brake system freezing up causing my rear wheels to lock up, to smoke and rotors become damaged. Dealership could not find anything wrong as could not duplicate the issue. They did say that the EBS did engage while driving down the interstate at 70+ MPH. No reason why. Not normal! It was returned to me. Then 1 week after getting it back the vehicle started shaking violently when at speeds in excess of 65 for about 30 seconds. The RPM goes from 2 to 4 with difficult acceleration. When it gets back to normal, there is a definite clunk. Do not get any warning lights. Has happened 3 time in less than 2 weeks. The Forward Collision Warning in my GV80 activated unnecessarily, which resulted in the car to break without need / warning, this resulted in the GV80 being hit from behind, the GV80 was pushed forward into another vehicle. The vehicle is unsafe for driving and has remained parked. The Forward Collision Warning activated when it was not needed and caused a rear-end accident which was quite impactful since we were not expecting a collision. The GV80 was inspected by an independent service and could not be proved to be at fault. It was deemed to "operate as designed" in spite of our experience and now even though there is damage to one of the front end sensors from the accident. The dealership claimed the GV80 needs $8000 worth of repairs as a result of the rear end incident. I did experience unnecessary collision alerts a week before the collision, when I realized this was faulty, I called the dealership and they explained that there was a setting that was at fault that I NEEDED TO CORRECT in the Settings AND, that they had been receiving others reports of the same problem "three times already today." This setting needed to be reset upon each time I started the car and they explained I also needed to wipe clean all sensors before driving in inclement weather. I experienced 3 more unnecessary Collision Breaking incidents in a single 2 mile driving range and dropped the car off at the dealership as I felt very unsafe to continue operating the GV80.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
1. When starting from a stop the vehicle sometimes applies brakes with a collision warning, with no other vehicles in front or next to the car. This will repeat several times before the issue goes away. This has happened 4 times in the last 10 days. 2. When using adaptive cruise control the vehicle will not recognize vehicles ahead, even with the maximum following distance selected. This is almost always the case.
