While driving, the main dashboard instrument cluster gauge screen completely blacks out without warning, followed immediately by the center infotainment screen going completely dark. This total loss of the dashboard screen leaves me with absolutely no way to see my current vehicle speed, odometer, critical safety warning lights, or fuel level while traveling at highway speeds, creating an immediate and severe driving hazard. The center infotainment screen and rearview camera also fail to activate. These symptoms perfectly mirror the network failure described in NHTSA Recall 23V-431 (MFR Campaign ID: ZEM) for the MOST FAKRA communication cables on 2022 Honda Passports. However, when checking my 17-character VIN, the system states my vehicle is excluded from the recall registry. Because this defect causes a catastrophic loss of critical driver safety information (speedometer) and backup camera functions, this VIN exclusion needs to be investigated and expanded.

The sealant on the rear of both of my roof rails are starting to peel/melt away. The roof rails came with the vehicle and was not added after purchase. I also have a video of the incident but this form will not allow me to upload it.

My sunroof glass randomly exploded! Yes, my safety and others safety was threatened! Glass shards would have hit my face had my sunshade not been closed! Glass shards flew off the back of my vehicles and there was another vehicle driving in the same lane behind me. The road was smooth and there were no potholes present. My car was driving smoothly, no warnings of any sort alerted me to any issues. As I was driving, I suddenly heard a VERY LOUD “pow!” kind of noise from the top of my car. It was incredibly loud, and sounded like a gunshot or a firework on the roof of my vehicle. I was able to pull over to inspect my car, and I immediately saw the damage to my sunroof. The rest of my car stayed perfectly intact, and there was no rock present, no foreign debris, and no mark on my interior sliding sunshade (indicating nothing hit my sunroof glass to shatter it). My interior sliding sunshade was closed at the time this incident occurred, as I am positive I would have experienced an injury to my face had it been open! The explosion from my glass was violent, as it did not simply crack my glass, but instead it blew up leaving shards of glass on top of the interior sliding sunshade – those shards would have hit my face and body when the explosion happened. I have photos of the damage and I also have two dash cams in my car – one of the cams records video footage of the front view of my vehicle, and the other camera records video footage of the back view from my vehicle. The video footage I have recorded also supports my claim fully, and demonstrates that no objects were “kicked up” and hit my car, and the back view shows the shards of glass flying off of my car during the explosion. You can also hear the loud “POP!” in the video footage I have, and it is very clear when this happened. A certified Honda dealership has my car at their shop right now. Honda Corporate has been slow to respond and they are falsely claiming they have never heard of this happening!

First new car in my life and I’m 70. When we bought the car, within a week the entire dash board lit up with warnings. Call the dealer, they towed it to their shop and “calibrated” the Collision Mitigation front facing camera. This service was Completed but within the next 2 years, the situation repeated itself over and over But would always go away. The last time the system failed (with all of the bells and whistles) I went back to Honda and they informed me a replacement was required. $1500 later the front facing Multipurpose Camera was replaced. The car’s 3 year warranty expired 2 months before the needed replacement. The dealer told me that these cameras have been a significant problem, and are replaced often. The replacement camera has a different part number from what was installed on the car when built. This indicates that Honda knows of this problem, and has upgraded the camera but left it to the owners to replace if it is out of warranty (even 2 months). As a retired degreed Engineer, I think this is a significant safety issue….. to have all of the alarms activate while sitting in the drivers seat.

At speeds above 55 mph, car will make a noise like paper being torn, followed by a loss of throttle response. This lasts for 3 to 5 seconds, then everything returns to normal. This has happened with the cruise control set, or while under foot control. No warning of any kind show up on the dashboard. We have taken our vehicle to the dealership on May 15 2025. They could find nothing after polling the computer or on multiple road trips. This loss of throttle has occurred six times in the last five months. We will keep a written record of these events as they happen, and pray that nobody gets hurt or dies from this.

The forward-facing mulitpurpose camera has failed on numerous occasions. This causes failures of: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation System, Auto High-Beam, Road Departure Mitigation, and Lane Keeping Assist. There are numerous incidents of the same failure across most Honda models for the same issue, documented in various forums.

Was driving at highway speed on the Garden State Parkway when the vehicle went into limp mode and many errors codes appeared. Was barely able to get on the shoulder then limp to a parking lot at an exit. Car had to be towed to the dealer where it is in the process of having a rocker arm spooler valve replaced that controls the VCM in the bank one cylinders. This created an extremely unsafe condition that nearly caused me to have a high speed accident

Upon buying my Honda Passport 11/28/2023, I have been experiencing problems with the radio/electrical connections in my vehicle. There are times I have crackling noises in front speakers and a complete failure of sound altogether. Daily stop and start in the sound system with blank moments and complete sound loses.

Other/I am not sure

Since this seat is a rotational seat there are two windows on either side of the base that show whether or not the seat is locked. When the window shows green, it is locked and ready to use. When the window shows red it means the seat is not locked, and not ready to use. On one side of the seat the window shows green all the time, even when the seat is very much not locked it shows that it is. This is seemingly a safety concern since the window is there to ensure the safety of the child, and that the seat is ready to be used in a car that is being driven. It works on one side but it is not always convenient to have to walk around to the other side to check and make sure it is operational. I have been advised by CPST's to discontinue use of the seat until I can contact Evenflo but Evenflo is incredibly hard to get ahold of. The seat is available to be inspected upon request. My child could have potentially been in an unlocked seat while driving the vehicle because I almost always put her in on the side that the lock mechanism is broken, and I have no idea how long it has been like that. The seat has not been inspected by anyone yet, I have reached out to Evenflo and am awaiting a response in how to proceed.

Passenger side floor was accumulating water from unknown source. My vehicle was brought to the dealership for service and they incorrectly diagnosed the issue stating that it was coming from the windshield. I picked up my vehicle and instantly noticed the problem was not corrected. It was coming from underneath the vehicle and the entire carpet needed to replaced along with an extensive repair.
