Subject of Complaint: Severe odometer fraud, mileage tampering, and title misrepresentation by the selling dealership: Phenix Motors, LLC ([XXX]), operated by [XXX]. The Discrepancy: The vehicle was sold to me with a falsely represented odometer reading. Subsequent electronic diagnostics and vehicle history reports reveal that the actual mileage is severely discrepant from the mileage disclosed on the official bill of sale and title paperwork provided by Phenix Motors, LLC. The dealership has since explicitly refused to participate in state-level consumer mediation with the Mississippi Attorney General's Office.Current Status & Evidence Location: The vehicle is currently completely inoperable with a dead dashboard/ECM display. On XXX, the financing lender, Magnolia Federal Credit Union, executed a repossession of the vehicle. Under the FTC Holder Rule, the lender is fully aware of the fraud claims. The physical car and its electronic control modules (the core evidence of the fraud) are currently being held by the lender's agent: United Auto Recovery (Account reference partial VIN: [XXX]).State Action & Reference History:Mississippi Attorney General's Office: Consumer Protection Division File closed due to Dealer Principal's ([XXX]) formal refusal to mediate.State Licensing Authority Contact: [XXX], Mississippi Motor Vehicle Commission / Mississippi Department of Revenue (Title and Dealer Enforcement Division: [XXX]).Request: I am requesting a formal federal investigation into Phenix Motors, LLC for systemic odometer manipulation, and a formal safety/title flag placed on this VIN to prevent the lender or dealer from washing the title or liquidating the vehicle at auction before the electronic evidence can be audited. NHTSA complaint #11752471 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
Cvt transmission failing, started @ 113000 miles, trying to work with Infiniti consumer affairs, they have required me to bring the car into their shop for diag. When i purchased the vehicle 2/26/2022, include with the car was an extended warranty for 6 years unlimited miles. They dated the contract back to the manufacturer date in 1/31/2019 and expired on 1/31/2025. I’ve opened a case with Infiniti USA case# 56866430. I feel they have never fixed their CVT transmission issue and it causing consumer undue cost and stress.

The contact owns a 2024 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently jolted while stopping, and the infotainment screen and instrument panel intermittently turned off and restarted independently. Additionally, the blind spot detection system and the Lane Keep Assist were intermittently inoperable, and the power window master door lock button was inoperable. The transmission slipped out of gear once. Additionally, the hatch failed to open, preventing to contact from accessing the wheelchair. The contact stated that as a [XXX] he was overwhelmed and saddened by the persistent failures and the inability to access the wheelchair as needed. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased from a dealer who had sold the business to another dealer, who refused to honor the warranty on the vehicle. The contact called another dealer, Palm Springs Nissan (68177 Kyle Rd, Cathedral City, CA 92234); and was provided the same information as the first dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to tow the vehicle to a dealer 3 hours away at the owner's expense; however, the contact stated to the manufacturer that towing the vehicle should be covered under the warranty policy. The contact had purchased the extended warranty, and the vehicle was paid off. The manufacturer declined to cover the towing and denied further assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The Infiniti QX 60 with the CVT Transmission has been a safety issue in the model year 2015- 2018. I was driving the vehicle on 3/18/2026 when the transmission stopped and cause my car to stop in traffic almost causing me to be in an accident. The car was tolled to the Infiniti dealership and I was later told that my vehicle was included in the CVT transmission settlement however it expired in August 2025 and said they will not repair I had to pay out of pocket.

The continuous variable transmission (CVT) in my 2017 Infiniti QX60 failed due to faulty components. They are failing to cover the repair and take accountability for the faulty equipment even though they have admitted to the part quality issue.

1. Airbags and seatbelt lights: The vehicle airbags light and seatbelt lights keeps flashing and after taking it to the dealer, they keep suggesting buying a new passenger seat assembly coasting thousands of dollars. Many similar complaints online with no resolutions or temporary solutions by the dealers. 2. CVT transmission problem: Vehicle jerking, and hesitating when driving. Vehicle also struggling to find the right amount of power. Dealer installed new transmission for free under extended manufacturer warranty. Problem is still there and has gotten worse. Struggling to accelerate or even lose power. Vehicle not in a drivable state with significant safety issue. Dealer insists there is nothing wrong after 3 subsequent visits after the first transmission installation. Vehicle pretty much totaled due to main component failure.
NHTSA complaint #11716975 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
Shortly after purchasing this used vehicle from CarMax, the vehicle began experiencing serious mechanical failures involving the engine/emissions system, braking system, and suspension. The vehicle displayed a check engine warning light, and the selling dealer, CarMax Schaumburg, confirmed issues requiring repair, including a faulty oxygen sensor, brake-related repairs, and a suspension link. The vehicle was taken in for service, parts were ordered, and repairs were performed. Despite these repairs, the same issues reoccurred, requiring the vehicle to be returned for additional repair attempts. The problems were therefore reproduced after the initial repair, confirming the existence of unresolved defects. The vehicle was not reliably safe during this period. These failures posed safety risks due to reduced braking reliability, compromised vehicle stability, and engine performance concerns, which could affect drivability and safe operation under normal conditions. The defects were confirmed and serviced by the dealer, as documented through service communications and voicemail messages from CarMax. Warning indicators, including the check engine light, were present prior to repair and prompted service visits. Exact mileage at the time of the incidents is UNKNOWN, as it was not clearly disclosed at purchase. Before the issues were fully and permanently resolved, the vehicle was repossessed, resulting in the loss of the vehicle while unresolved safety and mechanical defects existed. The repossession prevented further inspection or repair by the consumer. The repaired components and service records should be available for inspection through the dealer. No police or insurance inspection occurred in connection with a collision, as the issue involved mechanical and safety defects rather than an accident.

While driving, the vehicle displayed an engine malfunction warning followed by a low oil pressure warning. I pulled over and waited. The oil level was checked and was not empty. The warning lights briefly went out, but shortly afterward the engine lost power. When attempting to restart the vehicle, the engine began knocking. The vehicle became inoperable and required towing. This was a sudden engine failure with no prior indication of oil loss, leak, or neglect. This created a safety concern due to sudden loss of power while driving.

I have a 2020 Infiniti QX60. While driving on the interstate I75 the check engine light came on and the car lost power. This was very dangerous as it could have caused a very serious accident. Had to have car towed to dealership. Was told that the transmission needed to be replaced at a cost of $8,600. This suv has only about 75,000 miles. Upon checking the internet I found that this transmission issue has been a problem for a number of years and Infiniti has not adequately addressed it. This is a safety issue and Infiniti should take ownership and fix problem.

I was driving my vehicle and as I was making a turn lost power and almost got struct by a vehicle coming from the other direction I regained power and immediately called Infiniti dealership and spoke to service advisor to have vehicle inspected I recently had the cvt transmission replaced a month prior when I brought suv in I was informed it was not the transmission but the right shaft seal and transfer case were leaking and low on fluid causing the power loss I was told that there was a tsb issued by Nissan in regards to this I believe this should be changed to a recall especially being a chronic issue with these vehicles there should be a safety recall cause of the power loss thank God I regained power I had my wife and kids in the vehicle and was a very nerve racking scenario I contacted corporate Infiniti but they were not helpful at all

My 2019 Infiniti QX60 (VIN [XXX] ) experienced a sudden transmission failure at 99,995 miles. The vehicle would no longer shift into gear and became undriveable. The dealer found diagnostic code P2813 – Pressure Control Solenoid G, indicating internal transmission failure. The repair estimate is $8,369.87. This appears to be part of a known pattern of CVT failures affecting Infiniti/Nissan vehicles, including the QX60. Earlier models (2015–2018) had warranty extensions for similar CVT defects. This failure occurred without warning and poses a major safety hazard, as the vehicle could not accelerate or be driven. My wife was pulling out of the parking area after picking up my [XXX] and as soon as she pulled out and shifted it to drive it would not. Ended up with a vehicle almost hitting them, which was a close call. After shifting it back-and-forth it finally went into gear and took it straight to the service center. The service center even said that they had to tow it into the garage because it would not go into gear any longer. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether this transmission defect affects 2019 and later QX60 models and whether a recall or manufacturer remedy is warranted. Differential failed and leaking fluid - premature failure. Yes, part will be available, and repair diagnosed by Kendall Inifiniti of Nampa dealership. In process of review by manufacturer district area manager. No warning, no messages, no smells, nada - took auto in for scheduled 60,000 mile service at dealer and provided $4,100 estimate for repair - see attached. The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while driving 25-30 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and failed to accelerate as intended upon depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, the contact stated that upon shifting into reverse(R) and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to reverse and drove forward instead. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The manufacturer informed the contact that the VIN was included in Infiniti Campaign Number: PC501. The manufacturer scheduled an appointment with the dealer on the contact's behalf. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and the dealer informed the contact that the TCM software was updated; however, the failure persisted. The Service Advisor at the dealer informed the contact that the transmission needed to be replaced. The regional manager was contacted and informed the contact that the dealer had stated that the service campaign had not been performed, and the vehicle had not been diagnosed. The contact was informed that no assistance would be provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.
