FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2010 XF vehicles equipped with 4.2L engines. The fuel tank outlet flange may crack, allowing fuel to leak.

Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel outlet flange, free of charge. The recall began June 29, 2020. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H283.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Jaguar XF vehicles manufactured May 22, 2013, to June 15, 2015 and equipped with 2.0L GTDi engines. The affected vehicles may have insufficient clearance between the underfloor fuel delivery lines and the under shield and body allowing the fuel lines to chafe, possibly resulting in a fuel leak.

Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel line for abrasions, replacing it as necessary and install additional clips, free of charge. Parts are not yet available and second notice will be sent when parts are available. The recall is expected to begin January 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Engine stalling would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will remove the fuel transfer pipe from the fuel delivery module, reduce the length of the pipe by 6 inches (150mm) and discard the excess pipe. The fuel transfer pipe will then be inserted into an alternative hole on top of the fuel delivery module to prevent over insertion and the tank re-assembled.

In the event of speaker failure, audible notifications (turn signal, seat belt warning, "lights on" warning, driver's door open, etc.) will cease to function. Correction: Dealers will download the latest software into the instrument cluster and test the directional indicators for an audible notification.
