Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jeep Renegade 4X2 flex fuel/E85 vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine. In certain operating conditions such as high power demand in conjunction with high altitude and/or high ambient temperatures, a manufacturing error in the fuel pump assembly may result in a loss of fuel pressure.
Risk: A loss of fuel pressure can cause a stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017 Jeep Renegade vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine. These vehicles may be equipped with a cracked oil pump housing/balance shaft module (BSM), which can cause the oil pump to fail and the engine to stall.
Risk: An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017 Jeep Renegade vehicles. Due to a software issue, multiple malfunction indicator lamps may illuminate on the instrument panel when no malfunction exists. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."
Risk: If the malfunction indicator lamps illuminate at incorrect times, the driver may be unaware when a true malfunction occurs, increasing the risk of a crash.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.

On certain 4x2 flex fuel (E85) vehicles equipped with a 2.4 L engine, a problem with the fuel pump could cause a loss of fuel pressure under certain operating conditions. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel pump with an updated part.

Certain vehicles may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 101 – Location and Identification of Controls and Displays. These vehicles may have been built with an Instrument Panel Control (“IPC”) software error that may illuminate multiple malfunction indicator lights (“tell-tales”) when no malfunction or indicated vehicle condition is present. This issue may occur when the fuel indicator is reading “Low Range” fuel. Driving with a false tell-tale may mask a truly active tell-tale and result in the driver not being aware of actual malfunctions which could affect vehicle performance and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the IPC software.

Had to replace the engine for approx. $6600 We are still waiting on parts for the seat belts this has been over a year with jeep. The parts are backordered. The seatbelts come undone constantly on both the driver and passenger sides. Parts are $330 and labor is approx. $400 total $730. There are 90000 Jeep Wranglers with this same issues but they were recalled. We can't even get the parts it's been over a year. Axle on left side of jeep was broke -took jeep to have serviced for oil and tire rotation. Service person found that the axel was broke. Cost $1500 Service man stated the axel was like a straw.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, the title was retrieved from inside the glovebox, and the contact discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale through Facebook Marketplace. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 56,327, and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 243,000.

I am reporting a safety concern involving a 2017 Jeep Renegade, VIN ZACCJAAB5HPE81627. The vehicle was purchased used on May 22, 2026 at approximately 89,055 miles and began experiencing problems almost immediately. On May 27, only five days and approximately 96 miles after purchase, a diagnostic showed Check Engine FAIL with codes P0128 and P0456. On May 28, the selling dealership advised that the vehicle needed a thermostat and had an EVAP code requiring further diagnosis. On June 5, another diagnostic again showed Check Engine FAIL and identified an EVAP-related issue. The vehicle also had safety recall UB2/NHTSA Campaign 18V731000 involving the fuel-pump assembly. The recall addresses a condition in which loss of fuel pressure may cause the engine to stall and increase crash risk. The fuel-pump-module recall repair was performed at a Jeep dealership in June 2026. Problems continued after that service. On July 25, another diagnostic showed Check Engine FAIL with codes P0172, P0455 and P0456. On July 31, the vehicle SHUT DOWN WHILE BEING DRIVEN and was stuttering on the way to the repair facility. The service record specifically documents the complaint that the vehicle “shut down while driving” and was “stuttering on way here.” The vehicle has also experienced recurring starting difficulty, particularly after refueling, and repeated check-engine warnings. I am concerned about the risk of an unexpected loss of power or engine stall while driving in traffic. This vehicle’s windows dull out and side mirrors get brown and orange spots on them. Seat Belts won’t hold your seat belt and can sometimes pop out while going down the road. It sets off the seat belt alarm and you have to keep trying to get it back in. There’s a Recall for some 2017 models, but this one doesn’t fall under the recall but has the same issues for the Engine cooling fan. Electric cooling fan won’t spin and causes the car to use up coolant and overheat. This also messes with your air conditioner and causes the inside of your car to get hot as it can only blow warm air. (Injury)The plastic for the hood prop rod easily falls off and is a safety issue when you are working under the hood as the hood can fall onto your head when this plastic piece falls off. The gear shit stops working and won’t go into reverse. The parking brake pull button is located next to the cup holders and at high risk for electric damage if the cups in the cup holder leak or have condensation and leak into that parking brake pull switch. If the battery dies, and you quickly need to move the car off of a busy highway or train track, you have to take off the entire piece of the gear shift and find something small enough to fit into the hole to pop the car into neutral or reverse. This is a huge safety risk and takes too much time in high risk areas!!

I am reporting a safety issue with my 2017 Jeep Renegade. Since approximately 2022, my vehicle has repeatedly stalled while I am driving. When this happens, the battery light and multiple warning lights come on across the dashboard. Messages such as "Shift to Park" appear, the steering becomes very difficult to control, and the brakes become hard to use. This creates a dangerous situation because the vehicle loses power while I am operating it on public roads. After the vehicle stalls, it often struggles to restart and may require multiple attempts before starting again. The problem has occurred on numerous occasions and has continued despite multiple repair attempts. I have replaced approximately five alternators and three batteries, but the problem continues. I also maintain my vehicle regularly and receive routine oil changes. When I contacted Jeep regarding this issue, I was told that a low oil condition could cause the vehicle to shut off. However, I advised that my vehicle receives regular maintenance and that the oil level was not low when these incidents occurred. The ongoing stalling issue has caused me significant concern because it affects my ability to safely steer and stop the vehicle. I believe this condition presents a safety hazard to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. I am requesting that this issue be investigated. In addition to the repeated stalling issue, I have experienced ongoing charging system problems. Despite replacing approximately five alternators and three batteries, the battery warning light continues to appear, and the vehicle has tested at low charging voltage while running. The problem remains unresolved despite multiple repair attempts. I am concerned that there may be an underlying electrical, charging system, wiring, or power distribution defect that has not been properly identified or repaired. I have repeatedly reported these concerns because the vehicle continues to lose power while driving.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with coolant intrusion into the cylinder, causing engine failure. In addition, an unknown part of the electrical system had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The contact stated that the engine block on the vehicle was serviced in 2020 under an undisclosed recall. The back windshield exploded into spider webs type breaks randomly absolutely i have eye witnesses other than my own word as welll. There is ,more but its enough i think for now. While driving in traffIc on the freeway, my car began to shake, like driving was a struggle. Then, the car stalled and stopped working, with the display still lit and the car still in Drive. Traffic was moving at about 15 miles per hour. I had to hold the brakes to prevent my car from rolling backwards into the cars behind me. I shifted the car into Park. I turned the car off and back on, and it jolted into movement again. This stall lasted for about 30 seconds. A second attempt at restarting the car got it turn back on. No warning signs were displayed alerting me to a problem. My car was recently tuned up and no problems were reported. From research, the issue seems consistent with a fuel pump malfunction.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
It began with vehicle warning lights, several, illuminating. They did not illuminate at exactly the same time (such as when a car stalls) they illuminated consecutively i.e Airbag disabled, followed by, blind spot sensors unavailable, front collision, lane departure, power steering temporarily unavailable, park assist, lane departure... all unavailable. Finally, the check engine light. Driving 65 mph until the transmission decided to no longer shift properly, which resulted in driving 45 in an 70 mph zone. Turned off vehicle and restarted, it was fine for 50 miles and began the dashboard light show again, followed by almost stalling at a toll booth. It has been "repaired" 3 times in 3 months, by Chrysler Jeep . Including a new BCM. I believe this 2017 Renegade either was not recalled during the original recall in 2017 or 2018, was not repaired, or was repaired improperly. Everything else operates properly. My vehicle is in great shape. I have video documentation of these things happening. No photos though. I do have documentation from Chrysler Jeep, just not with me at the moment.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
The water line for the windshield washer reservoir running to back windshield is bundled with the electrical cables and is made out of plastic not rubber leaks inside car back passanger floor. I went online and noticed several people complaining about the same issue. Line is in a hard to reach place to replace, think manufacturer of vehicle should replace for using inferior parts and bundling it with electrical wires that my cause a short.
