FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
adaptive cruise control warning lites. In the beginning it started sending warnings after it was on for a while. Now the warning is when I start the car. this has been fixed once under warranty but it is no longer working again. the warning lites for the aeb system is also on. Also I have pearl white sorento and the paint is peeling off the hood.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
I am reporting a serious engine defect in my 2017 Kia Sorento. The has failed and presents an ongoing safety concern. The issue is while driving on the interstate, the vehicle began shaking violently, started making a knocking noise and the check engine illuminated. The RPMs also began spiking so I slowed down and got off at the next exit. Now every time I start the vehicle it continues to shake, knock and cannot accelerate properly -- the RPMs climb as high as 5000 with very little power. This is a clear safety hazard and makes the vehicle unsafe to operate on public roads.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

Took it into the dealer and they replaced the SOP Module due to code B10055, ACU communication error tested and found module not communicating with vehicle. To replace this part it costs me 925.50 After replacing this part they ran another coding and found that the ODS mat has internal short causing failure of variant coding. This part will cost an additional $3,287 to fix. Looked online and noticed that Kia has safety Recall (SC175) for 2015-2018 Kia Sedona for the Front Passenger Seat Occupant Detection System (ODS)Harness which is the exact same part that my Kia Sorrento needs and falls in the same year built. My 2017 Kia Sorrento has only 56,000 miles on it. Kia Dealership supposedly fixed the CCS Headlights Flicker Failure which was a separate recall which was a multifunction switch but this did not fix the other sensors.

The contact owns a 2017 Kia Sorento. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the message "Assist Emergency Braking Disabled - Radar Blockage" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no failure was found. On one occasion while driving 65 MPH, the headlights shut off and an unknown warning illuminated. The contact stated that after several minutes the warning light disappeared, and the headlights returned to normal functionality. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the cameras were updated; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 65,000.

I was driving on a highway where maximum speed limit was 65miles. Suddenly my car stalled and restarted again and post that i had a warning for Check AEB, auto hold was disabled and Traction control was enabled. For a brief moment, i lost steering which may be a result of the stall but then i regained steering. This has happened 4 times in the last 6 months. I stopped the car by the road, turned off the engine and restarted the car. The dashboard still showed the same warnings. I again turned off the car, opened my drivers side door and closed it and then restarted the car. The warning signs went off and then there were no issues post that.

Oil consumption is horrible, also there is never a warning light that tells you that the oil is low, you’ll just be driving and then the check engine light will come on and the car with start driving funny. It’s a dangerous situation because at any time your car could be out of oil and your engine could blow cause if harm or death to everyone in the vehicle and could possibly cause an accident.

ON FEBRUARY 17, 2021 A VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME ON A HIGHWAY CAUSING ME TO SLAM THE BRAKES SO HARD TO AVOID HITTING THE VEHICLE. AFTER THE VEHICLE PROCEEDED ACROSS THE ROAD WHEN I TRIED TO CONTINUE FORWARD MY SORENTO HAD VERY LITTLE POWER NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TRIED TO GIVE THE VEHICLE GAS. AS I DROVE SORENTO HOME IT HAD VERY LITTLE POWER. I COULD BARLEY GET VEHICLE TO GO THE 5 PLUS MILES TO MY HOUSE TRAVELING AT LEAST THAN 25 MILES PER HOUR. POSSIBLY LESS THAN THAT AND AS I TRIED TO DRIVE UP THE HILL TO MY HOUSE I BARELY GOT THERE. THE VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE POWER TO GO UP HILL. AFTERWARDS THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND STAY ON.. I HAD IT TOWED TO KIA DEALERSHIP WHERE IS HAS BEEN FOR A WEEK.
